  • Patent number: 11725763
Abstract: A pipe fitting configured to be coupled to a pipe. The pipe fitting includes a body that is elongate along a central axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The body includes a shell, a stiffener, and a shell-stiffener. The shell includes a shell inner surface that defines a shell through hole that extends through the shell in the longitudinal direction. The stiffener is positioned within the shell through hole, and the stiffener includes a stiffener outer surface that faces the shell inner surface such that the stiffener outer surface and the shell inner surface cooperate to define a pocket configured to receive the pipe. A shell-stiffener seal member is positioned about the stiffener such that a seal member inner surface is substantially flush against the stiffener outer surface and a seal member outer surface abuts against the shell inner surface.

  • Patent number: 11560967
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a rotary plug valve and, more particularly, to a rotary plug valve having a fluid conduit cartridge including components that are assembled in a manner allowing for the rotation of a valve handle without rotation of the entire valve or supply line. Illustratively, a retainer ring and a backer ring are coupled with a gripper ring positioned therebetween. Coupling of the retainer ring and the backer ring creates compression on locking tabs of the grip ring, holding the locking tabs in place between tangs of the backer ring and preventing rotation of the gripper ring.

A resilient seal is disposed about the end of a fluid line within each end of the passageway and a combination slotted ferrule and sealing ring member formed with a sealing ring portion and a ferrule portion is captured between the seal and a compression nut treaded onto the end of the body. When the nut is tightened onto the end, it causes the ferrule portion to deform and collapse inwardly to grasp and hold the fluid line securely in place and simultaneously drives the sealing ring portion against the seal to compress the seal, which expands to form a fluid-tight seal around the end of the fluid line.
