  • Patent number: 11813723
Abstract: A slip-on adapter that is adapted to be coupled to existing adapters that have already been developed. The slip-on adapter couples to existing adapters by positive retention on either the outside diameter or inside diameter of the existing adapter. For example, the slip-on adapter can include an O-ring that grips the outside diameter of the existing adapter that it is slipped onto. The slip-on adapter can also be used as a “flip adapter” with different geometries at both ends for use with two different size ball joints. This allows for less expensive adapters for new size ball joints by connecting to existing adapters, rather than requiring full machining of a new adapter.

Abstract: An apparatus that aids in the removal of heavy-duty universal joints or Spicer® joints is herein disclosed. The apparatus is comprised of a metal plate approximately four (4) inches long and two-and-a-half (2½) inches wide. Two (2) outer apertures in the metal plate attach to the corresponding retaining bolt holes on an existing universal joint. The inner hole has a driver shaft driven by a three-quarter (¾) inch hex fitting. This driver shaft facilitates the removal of the joint caps of the universal joint. The apparatus is secure and will not slip or reposition itself while in use. When finished, the apparatus is removed from the drive shaft. The use of the apparatus allows for the removal of heavy-duty universal joints in an efficient manner.

  • Patent number: 8087137
Abstract: A flat clamping hand tool structure includes a left clamping seat having one side with a left fixing portion facing a right fixing portion on one side of a right clamping seat. The first and second fixing members move up and down in left and right mounting slots of the left and right clamping seats by left and right swing plates which are pivotally connected with upper and lower holders. The left and right clamping seats are guided to move by guiding blocks of the upper and lower holders to slide along guiding grooves of the left and right clamping seats. Left and the right arms pivot together through a first pivot member. Left and right limit portions of the left and right swing plates mesh with each other so as to drive the left and right clamping seats to carry out a clamping motion.

Abstract: A bead crimping tool for crimping a bead element and method for use, wherein the tool includes a base handle, a crush plate member, a pair of opposed pincer members, an actuator handle, and a crush arm member. The bead element is placed on the crush plate and preferably secured in place by the crush arm. Crimping the bead includes squeezing of the actuator handle. During a first portion of such actuation, a cam portion of the actuator handle cases the pincer members to impart a lateral compressive force to a lateral portion of the bead element sufficient to collapse the bead element in a lateral direction. During a subsequent second portion of the single actuation cycle, the crush arm is caused to impart a longitudinal compressive force about a top portion of the bead element sufficient to compress the collapsed bead element in a longitudinal direction.
