Abstract: A device for providing a plurality of ways for transporting articles wherein a bag, which is relatively large and flexible, is contained in a purse, which is relatively small, so that the purse may be turned inside out to expose the bag and wherein the bag has an internal volume many times greater than the volume of the purse and wherein the bag has a top portion which may be opened so that articles can be placed in the bag and closed to retain the articles therein and wherein the purse is located inside of the bag when in use and wherein the bag is provided with webbing so that the bag may be carried as a backpack, a shoulder bag or a hand bag.

Abstract: A lightweight handle for containers is adjustable to permit the carrying, transporting and storage of containers of different sizes. The handle comprises an upper portion which is pivotally connected to a lower portion. The pivot is closer to one of the two longitudinal members of the upper portion so that in a first orientation, the space between the upper portion and the base of the lower frame can accommodate containers of larger size. In the second orientation, the other longitudinal member of the upper portion is in the bottom position, thereby reducing the space between the upper portion and the base of the frame for carrying smaller containers.

Abstract: A combination storage belt and ski carrier accessory includes a belt mounting a pair of releasably and reversably attachable flexible members at each of a pair of opposite ends of the belt and a storage bag at an intermediate location thereon between the opposite ends of the belt. The belt is adjustable to convert it between a contracted condition and an expanded condition. In the contracted condition, the adjustable belt is adapted to be worn about a user's waist with the flexible members forming closed loops positioned on the same side of the belt as the storage bag. In the expanded condition, the belt is adapted to be worn across the front of the user's torso and over one shoulder with the flexible members forming closed loops positioned on the opposite side of the belt from the storage bag to hold and carry skis in a generally upright orientation along the user's back. The storage bag is accessible both when the belt is worn around waist and when worn across the torso to carry skis.

Abstract: According to the invention a multimode traveling bag is provided which can be carried as a hand carrying bag, a back pack, shoulder bag or over the head bag. The invention provides these multimode operations while limiting the number of handles and straps. Preferably a handle and strap are provided which are neatly positioned along the body of the bag when not in use. The traveling bag desirably has a single strap affixed at each end of the strap to the left and right side of the traveling bag. The strap should be of sufficient length so that the attached strap can be placed over the head of the user when the user desires to carry the bag over his head and support the bag by the opposite shoulder.

Abstract: Multi-purpose luggage, convertible from a backpack to a handbag, by turning the luggage inside-out, has a plurality of walls, including a peripherally-disposed, laterally-arranged side wall, a top wall, and a bottom wall. The side wall incorporates a longitudinally-arranged closable opening. Each of the walls has two faces. A pair of manually-grippable handles are secured to one face of the side wall and are complementarily disposed on opposite sides of the opening. A pair of shoulder straps are secured to the opposite face of the side wall. One end of the shoulder straps is secured to the side wall adjacent to the top wall and the other end of the shoulder straps is secured to the side wall adjacent to the bottom wall.

Abstract: A tennis ball retriever and multi-purpose tennis ball hopper and caddy that holds all of the tennis equipment used during play and practice. The retriever utilizes a container portion incorporating a bottom of transverse rods which are slightly resilient and incorporates a telescoping handle structure used in ball retrieval and as a support stand for the ball container portion. The hopper has side walls that open for easy access to the container.

Abstract: A combined book holder and bookmark consists of a pair of right and left racks pivotally joined to provide means to hold open a book, to mark a specific page, as well as to store a closed book for carrying.

Abstract: A combined handle and friction connector for a container in which a handle assembly can either be integral with a container or attachable thereto. The handle is spaced from the container by an opening for receiving the hand of the user, and has a snap-on groove for detachably connecting the handle and the associated container to a tubular support having a range of varying diameters, such as, a bicycle frame, a boat railing, a lawn mower, a broom handle, or the like. The handle assembly performs the dual function of a snap-on connector, and as a handle to facilitate the carrying of the container after being removed from the tubular support.

Abstract: An infant care bag for storing bottles, diapers, Wet Wipes, and other infant care supplies comprises a primary bag section and a removable auxiliary bag section is disclosed. The primary bag section can be worn as a backpack with or without the removable auxiliary bag section. The primary bag section stores a variety of infant care supplies and perishable food items and can be used as a booster chair for dining. The removable auxiliary section provides additional storage space and has a compartment for storing a changing pad. The infant care bag is constructed of a fabric coated extruded plastic framework. A second embodiment disclosed in the infant care bag is fabricated from vacuum formed plastic. The infant care bag is therefore lightweight and easy to clean.

Abstract: A deer dragging and hanging system for engaging a deer for dragging or hanging of the deer. The system can be used by either a single person or two persons, and provides for either a single point of engagement or two points of engagement. The device includes a cylindrical member, a center yoke affixed to the cylindrical member, two handles at outer ends of the cylindrical member, and two V-screws threaded into nuts in the ends of the cylindrical member.

Abstract: A carrying bag assembly having a carrying bag for carrying personal items and a telephone receiver/transmitter unit attached to the carrying bag. The receiver/transmitter unit can be connected to a telephone line by means of a wire with a plug on one end. A telephone handset is attached to the receiver/transmitter unit by means of a cord. The handset can be attached to the handle of the carrying bag by two pieces of material that wrap around the handset and attach to one another. A keypad is located on the outer surface of the carrying bag for dialing the telephone.

Abstract: There is disclosed a garment supporting system in which a garment hanger having an aperture in the hooklike neck thereof is employed in combination with an elongated flexible tie having a less flexible segment located along its length, a gripping ring located at one end and a ring member at the opposite end to provide a system which permits transport of a plurality of garments in a controlled and facile manner.

Abstract: A shopping basket for a stroller (B) has a box-like body (7) of a square cross-section made of a fine mesh or a flexible cloth which is easily foldable. A bottom plate (8) is secured at its periphery to the lower end of the body. The box-like body has such a size and depth that it can be attached to the underside of a seat portion (61) of the stroller by holder straps (9). The bottom plate is foldable in half or in thirds in the direction of the width of the stroller such that, when the stroller body is folded up, the bottom plate is in turn folded. Thus, the shopping basket can be folded in a compact manner while attached to the stroller.

Abstract: A handle particularly for use with plastic grocery bags is disclosed. The bag is of the type having two side walls with openings near the top for carrying the bag. The elongate handle is substantially rigid and the ends of the handle have notches which receive edges of the side walls at the openings. The notches are shaped such that the handle will not accidentally separate from the bag when it is set down. In a preferred form, the handle is of thin plastic which is arcuate in transverse cross section and placed in the bag opening so that the convex side faces downwardly. An intermediate part of the handle can have two longitudinally-spaced openings to receive hanger hooks to facilitate carrying clothes in a clothes bag when traveling.

Abstract: A convertible carrying handle and shoulder strap for hand luggage has bails fixed to a top wall of a peripheral frame of the luggage and through which straps are slidable, the straps being attached at one of their ends to a handle positioned between the bails and having fastener members at their free ends for attachment to side walls of the peripheral frame.

Abstract: A convertible carrier for skis and ski boots is in the form of a strap with a pair of buckles for forming adjustable size loops at opposite ends of the strap connected by a central portion of the strap forming a handle. The loops can be tightened around a pair of back-to-back skis in spaced positions along the length of the skis so that the skis are slung from the central portion of the carrier. Alternatively, the loops can be tightened around respective ski boots and fastened together by a suitable fastener which is provided with the strap so as to form a convenient carrier for the boots.

Abstract: A cable device having multiple purposes such as the dragging and skinning of animals and the attachment of articles onto a horse saddle. The device employs a novel sleeve device for allowing the quick attachment and release of articles.

Abstract: A protective pad includes a sheet of flexible material. A plurality of fasteners are spaced around the edge of the sheet in the corners, and adjacent fasteners can be attached to each other. When the fasteners are attached, the edge of the sheet is forced upward slightly to form a lip around the top face of the pad to retain soil, debris and water. When the fasteners are not attached, the flexible material lies flat. Handles across opposite corners are used to fold the pad and to carry it.

Abstract: A carrier bag which is convertible between a body support configuration and a hand support configuration consists of a vest and two purse segments. The two purse segments are connected one at the lower edge of each front panel of the vest. A zip fastener as provided for connecting the pouch segments to one another in a face-to-face relationship to form a garment storage compartment between which is proportioned to accommodate the vest. The pouch is supported in close proximity to the torso of the wearer when the garment is worn and the garment may be stored within the garment storage compartment when the segments of the pouch are in the face-to-face relationship so that it may be carried as a handbag.

Abstract: A carrier apparatus for use by fire fighters to carry fire hose, and to serve as a personnel carrier; a carrier body of flaccid material about five feet long has a bottom and side walls, and at one end there is an end wall, the portions of the side walls adjacent the end wall being perpendicular to the bottom and end wall. Handles and securing straps are provided. A continuous length of fire hose is placed in two side by side stacks, with a connecting portion from one stack to the other; a strap with hook and pile type fastener, such as sold under the trademark Velcro fastener extends around one stack and is released by force applied through the connecting portion of the fire hose.

Abstract: In a portable type machine, material supporting members adapted to be stretched for use during the use of the machine are pivotally connected to the opposite sides of the machine for upward rotation and during the transportation of the machine, the supporting members are pivoted onto the top of the machine body so as to form a transportation handle on top of the machine body. By one touch, the machine can be transformed from its shape during use into a compact shape suitable for transportation, thus greatly enhancing the transportation efficiency of the machine.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for keeping a bag opening closed and providing a handle for carrying the bag. A frame is provided with a handle and a bag engaging portion. The frame is placed over the bag after the opening is closed and the bag engaging portion is placed into position to maintain a portion of the bag against the frame. The frame is then re-oriented, turning the bag back on itself to provide a safe, secure handle for the bag while maintaining it in a closed condition. The bag engaging portion of the frame also has an orientation at which the handle can be used for carrying tied packages.

Abstract: A fishing rod carrier device useful as a rod and reel caddy for transporting fishing rods with reels mounted on the rod. The carrier device includes a frame which is suitable for resting on relatively flat surfaces, a lower horizontal member mounted on the frame above the bottom of the frame and having a plurality of openings spaced from one another such that the openings are larger than a fishing rod handle and smaller than a fishing reel on the rod. An upper horizontal member is also mounted on the frame above the lower horizontal member and having a like plurality of similarly sized openings relatively vertically aligned with the openings of the lower member. Also included is a first vertical member mounted adjacent to the upper member and extending upwardly to an end having a handle means thereon. A support means is attached to the vertical member to maintain the vertical member perpendicular to the horizontal members.

Abstract: Portable camping clean-up equipment center is provided that can be shoulder carried, hung by a tree branch, or placed on a table or in a car comprising a central container which can be filled with water to which are disposably attached a cup holder, a paper towel holder, a soap holder, and a trash holder and in addition is provided with valve controlled faucet and a valved shower head.

Abstract: A convertible handbag and backpack is disclosed which includes a bag body to which a pair of carrying straps are secured. The straps are secured to the bag near the bottom of the bag body and are slidably mounted to a side of the bag body proximate the top of the bag. Intermediate the bottom securement and slidable mount at the top, the straps are unattached to the bag body. The carrying straps further extend above the bag, cross each other over the top of the bag, and are secured to diametrically opposed positions on the opposite side of the bag body. When the convertible handbag and backpack is carried as a handbag, the crossed straps are simply gripped over the bag top. When the bag is carried as a backpack, the straps are slipped down through the mounting structure to permit insertion of the arms of the user between the straps and the bag body. In the backpack carrying mode the crossed straps are automatically pulled down over the top of the bag body to insure that the bag top does not fall open.

Abstract: A convertible hand-to-bicycle bag has handles which comprise an elastic intermediate portion for engaging fastening means on a bicycle when stretched and end portions connected to a body such that the handles may be disposed in a first, hand-carrying position wherein the handles straddle the body with the intermediate portions disposed adjacent each other above the body, and in a second, bicycle attaching position wherein the handles straddle a bicycle on which the bag is mounted.
