The pill holder arrangement includes a slideable fixture constructed and arranged to be movable relative to the base and hold the pill. The pill holder arrangement allows a pill to split when the cover is moved in a closed position.

Abstract: The pill container is shaped like a conventional pen and is composed of multiple cylindrical compartments and a cap. Each compartment is labeled for the medication it contains. The label is attached from inside with a clip. Such labeling method with a clip can be applied to the regular medication organizers to add extra function as a labeled pill container. The last compartment of pill pen has a blade embedded at its end and functions as a pill cutter, which is covered with a safety cap, which has a serrated convex surface so as to function as a pill grinder. The cutting and grinding surface is the interior vertex of the cap of the pill pen.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of apparatuses and kits for making craft image tiles to customize jewelry or other accessories. One embodiment of an apparatus for making craft image tiles comprises a base having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface with a cavity there between; a cutting mechanism movably positioned within the cavity and comprising a cutting blade configured to cut through a sheet of images; and a handle extending from the cutting mechanism and accessible outside of the base, configured to move the cutting blade along an axis substantially perpendicular to the top surface of the base in response to a mechanical input at a handle input end. The top surface includes an aperture defined therein, and the aperture is sized to receive the cutting blade.

Abstract: In specific embodiments, a device for cutting hairs comprises a pair of opposing surfaces actuatable so that the hairs are capable of being held between the opposing surfaces with sufficient firmness to allow the hairs to be pulled taut without being cut. The device also includes a cutter actuatable independent of the opposing surfaces and configured to cut the hairs held between the opposing surfaces when the cutter is actuated.

Abstract: A monofilament line cutting tool is formed by sandwiching a cutting blade between first and second plastic sheets which are thermally bonded to one another. A monofilament line receiving slot in the plastic sheets extends to the blade whereby monofilament line bent into a U-shape may be placed in contact with the blade cutting edge. The plastic sheets are part of spool forming plastic sheet portions which are thermally bonded to one another and shaped into a spool. The plastic sheets forming the tool are selectively pivotable about a live hinge relative to the spool. The plastic sheets can be separated from one another for forming: a sphere generally around the cutting edge; a pair of elongate barrels extending parallel along each side of the monofilament line receiving slot and adjacent the cutting edge; or, a monofilament line receiving cavity extending to the blade cutting edge.

The integrated cutting surface can be incorporated into food chopping compartment of the chopper and may include a window for allowing visual inspection of the chopped food while still within the compartment. The food chopper includes blade mechanism having at least one V-shaped blade and a blade cover/cleaner configured to maintain the at least one V-shaped blade covered from user exposure even when the food chopping compartment is removed from the chopper.

Abstract: The grape cutter includes a base and a cover overlying the base. The base includes a recess adapted to hold a plurality of foodstuffs therein. The cover also includes a recess adapted to accommodate and hold the foodstuffs between the cover and the base. Both the base and the cover include a respective surrounding flange that define a slicing gap when assembled so that a user may slide a knife through the slicing gap to cut the foodstuffs. The slicing gap may be adjusted to accommodate foodstuffs of various sizes.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a pill cutter that has a protected cutting edge. The pill cutter includes a guard, a base, and a cover. The components are arranged such that the guard slides over the cutting edge when the pill cutter is in an open position and the guard exposes the cutting edge when the pill cutter is in a closed position. The invention is also directed at a method for assembling the pill cutter and a method of using the pill cutter to cut a pill or tablet.

Abstract: A tape dispenser with paper cutting tool is disclosed. The tape dispenser with paper cutter includes a blade and paper guide tine integrally formed with a tape dispenser housing. Additional capabilities can be added such as a ribbon curler and a glue stick. Abstract: An apparatus for maintaining a hair treatment device includes a housing, a brush assembly mounted to the housing and having a plurality of bristles dimensioned and adapted for at least one of cleaning and removal of hair from a clipper assembly of a hair treatment device and a dispensing member mounted to the housing and having a treatment agent for depositing on the clipper assembly. The dispensing member may include an absorbent member such as a sponge, pad or cloth. The treatment agent may be one of a lubricant, cleaning agent or medicinal.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for use with irrigation systems. The tool may be used for connecting and removing sprinkler fittings for drip systems. The irrigation tubing may be held between the rotatable tool jaws located near the ends of coextensive members of the tool, allowing a user to easily install or uninstall sprinkler fittings from the irrigation tubing. The tool provides a cutter to accurately sheer the irrigation tubing while it is securely held in place in through holes located in the coextensive members.

Extensions of the jaw members are manually grasped to urge the jaw members into an open position for insertion of the next leading edge of material therebetween. The device may also be utilized as a cutting tool for opening sealed boxes and the like.

Abstract: A portable cutting apparatus. The apparatus includes a motor and a cutting blade driven by the motor. A protective housing encloses at least a portion of the cutting blade. A vacuum impeller is disposed in a vacuum housing to generate airflow to move dust and debris created by the cutting blade into a removable vacuum bag. At least one vacuum tube directs the airflow from the protective housing to the vacuum housing. The motor operates both the cutting blade and the vacuum impeller. A bellows interconnects the protective housing and a lower platform. The lower platform pivots relative to the cutting blade about a pivot axis that is outwardly spaced from and parallel to a cutting plane defined by the cutting blade.

The rotary cutting elements are preferably different sized and preferably becoming smaller distally from the handle. A method includes cutting an article with a plurality of rotary blades with a single motion of a human hand and/or arm. Such article may be, for example, a food article, such as pizza, or a textile article, such as leather, vinyl, or even gypsum board.

Abstract: A powered vinyl groover includes a motor attached to a circular blade and a blade housing for covering the circular blade. The blade housing includes a duct to carry cuttings into a collection bag. Near an inlet hole of the duct is a fin, which may be a raised surface on any interior wall of the blade housing extending into the blade housing as close as possible to the blade. The fin causes airflow from the blade to be redirected towards the inlet hole of the duct so that more cuttings enter the duct and are carried by the duct through to an outlet hole to a collection bag mountable over the outlet hole of the duct. The fin may be integral with the blade housing or attached to it, and a fin may also be added to existing groovers.

Featuring a safety seal beneath the lid, the threaded opening serves as the attaching point of the provided spoon, a soft plastic utensil with a distinct oval shape. Additionally, a protective cap is provided to enclose the Baby Food Spoon system between uses. Simple in design yet effective in application, one need only choose a container of food, remove the safety seal, and twist on the spoon attachment. Squeezing the food container, the user is able to dispense desired amounts of food into the spoon, and feed the waiting baby.

The present invention discloses a variety of receptacle chamber shapes and a variety of caps which optionally may be utilized for zesting or grating food material.

The deflector is positionable between a first position and second wherein in a first position, the deflector body is operable to receive at least a portion of a cutting assembly of the hedge trimmer within the deflector body, and, in a second position, the deflector body is connectable with the cutting assembly such that cutting blades of the cutting assembly are exposed and the deflector body is operable to deflect debris from a vegetation cutting operation.

Abstract: The grape cutter includes a base and a cover overlying the base. The base includes a recess adapted to hold a plurality of foodstuffs therein. The cover also includes a recess adapted to accommodate and hold the foodstuffs between the cover and the base. Both the base and the cover include a respective surrounding flange that define a slicing gap when assembled so that a user may slide a knife through the slicing gap to cut the foodstuffs. The slicing gap may be adjusted to accommodate foodstuffs of various sizes.

Abstract: A power saw having a circular saw blade or, grinding wheel incorporated to a dust collection system that is easily portable is disclosed herein. In a preferred embodiment, negative pressure and resulting air flow is provided at a lower blade guard to capture particulate matter as a byproduct of cutting a work piece. A unique dust collection housing is additionally provided having a filter to remove dust from air and exhaust the filtered air at a lateral side of the saw. A spin handle is additionally disclosed to increase the usable surface of the filter and to work in conjunction with a filter cleaning flap. A drive belt according to a preferred embodiment, drives the circular saw and a vacuum fan. Among the beneficial aspects of the power saw is its portability by obviating a need for a dust collection bag and/or a separate vacuum unit.

A system further has the cutting apparatus juxtaposed with a container for storing at least one encased article.

Abstract: The present invention relates to cake cutters that may cut a cake thoroughly different from any cake-cutting device on the market or previously claimed. The invention is a modified corrugated cardboard circle or square, commonly known as a cakeboard. There are two iterations of said invention, one that is designed to cut a circular cake into slices, and another one to cut a rectangular cake into rectangular or square pieces. Both iterations involve using string to cut the cake, as opposed to a knife, and both are disposable and can be built into the cakeboard itself. The circular cake cutter is made with a center pivoting ring with a string strung through the center, designed to cut the cake into slices. The rectangular iteration involves dowels with strings that can be cut off depending on personal preference of the size of the piece of cake.

Abstract: A specialized wood splitting tool and chopping block, used together, enable cutting kindling from ordinary firewood in an effective and safe manner. The splitting tool uses leverage in addition to downward momentum of the cutting head to split wood. The metal handle and metal cutting head are preferably formed from a single piece of steel, in a perpendicular configuration similar to an adze. A splitting wedge blade within the handle exerts transverse shear forces to enhance splitting, and flat upper surfaces of the cutting head and the handle near the joint provide a striking surface. A complimentary chopping block for bracing logs of various diameters in a steady upright position has a V-shaped recess that is open on one end. The chopping block provides resistance to the unique leverage of the splitting tool during the splitting action.

Abstract: A portable cutting device having a cutting tool for cutting a material. The cutting device includes a motor driving the cutting tool and a shroud at least partially enclosing the cutting tool. The shroud defines a debris accumulation chamber for gathering debris created by the cutting tool cutting the material. An impeller is operatively coupled to the motor and driven by the motor to create suction pressure to draw the debris out of the debris accumulation chamber and into a collection bag.

Abstract: A scraping apparatus includes an elongated tubular shaft with open proximal and distal ends in fluid communication with each other along an entire longitudinal length of the tubular shaft. The receiving channel is configured to receive at least a portion of the seal while the cutting member is configured to cooperatively cut the seal portion as it is inserted into and translated along the channel. The cutting apparatus may be permanently or temporarily attached to the container.

Abstract: A debris removal attachment for use with a hand-held power tool. The attachment includes an extension shaft, a first impeller coupled to the extension shaft, and a housing provided adjacent the first impeller. The rotation of the first impeller is configured to generate a pressure differential sufficient to draw debris into the housing.
