  • Publication number: 20120151778
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutting assembly (4) for a portable hand-held power driven working tool. The cutting assembly (4) comprises a first elongate cutting blade (9) and a second elongate cutting blade (10). The cutting blades (9, 10) are arranged to be connected to a gear, causing the cutting blades (9, 10) to move in a reciprocal manner along a longitudinal axis of the cutting blades (9, 10). The cutting blades (9, 10) are arranged to be mounted so that an interior surface (11) of the first cutting blade (9) faces towards and abuts on an interior surface (12) of the second cutting blade (10), wherein at least one of the cutting blades (9, 10) has a recess (13,14) extending in a longitudinal portion of the interior surface (11, 12) of the cutting blades (9, 10), such that a gap (15) appears between the cutting blades (9, 10) when they are mounted in a face-to-face relationship.

  • Patent number: 7340839
Abstract: Disclosed is a hair clipper having a moving lower blade, in which the lower blade moves so that upper and lower blades reciprocate in opposite directions and cross each other. In the hair clipper, an eccentric cam is connected to a rotary shaft of a motor installed in a main body, and an eccentric shaft formed on the eccentric cam is inserted into a fixing groove formed in an upper blade fixing plate and vibrates horizontally, the lower blade is mounted on a blade support, such that the lower blade can move horizontally, and is fixed to one end of a link, the central portion of which is fixed to the blade support, and the other end of which is fixed to the lower surface of an upper blade fixing plate, to which an upper blade is fixed, and thus, when the upper blade fixing plate vibrates horizontally by the rotation of the motor, the lower blade vibrates on the blade support by the link in the direction opposite to the vibration of the upper blade.

  • Patent number: 4726117
Abstract: A shearing handpiece rear section for connection between a drive tube assembly and a handpiece front section which includes a cutter and driving fork, and comprising an outer casing, a tubular bushing threaded therein and connected with a partly encircled tubular joint by a circlip to permit relative rotation and prevent axial displacement between the bushing and the joint, a drive shaft extending through the casing and journalled at opposite end portions in bearings supported in respective ones of the bushing and the joint, a crank head upon a forward end of the shaft and provided with clearance from a forward end of the bushing, and a drive cog upon a rearward end of the shaft and abutting the bearing in said joint, so that with axial thrust on the handpiece contact of said crank head with said bushing is avoided.

  • Patent number: 3979824
Abstract: A can opener having at least two guide rollers or wheels positioned to moveably engage the underside of the lip around the top of a standard cylindrical tin can. These guide rollers are held in position by a main bracket that also holds a pivotably mounted cutter arm. The cutter arm includes a cutting device or wheel that is pushed through the top lid of the can just inside the outer lip when the cutting arm is depressed. When the cutting device has punctured the top lid of the can, the cutter arm is drawn around the periphery of the can, in one quick, easy motion to open the top of the can. The guide rollers hold the cutting device against the inside of the lip of the can and keep it penetrating through the top surface of the lid of the can throughout the operation.
