Abstract: A charging generator for a vehicle comprises a stator; a rotor facing said stator with a gap; a pair of slip-rings mounted on said rotor; a pair of brushes sliding on said slip-rings; a brush holder for holding each said brush; a first hole formed on the pair of said brushes in the shaft direction; a housing which holds said rotor; a second hole formed on said housing to insert a pin into said first hole from outside of said housing so as to detach said brushes from said slip-rings; a lubricant for sealing said second hole; and a lubricant holder for holding said lubricant which is placed near said second hole.
Abstract: A brush holding apparatus for a rotary electric machine permitting removal and replacement of brushes without stopping the rotation of the rotary electric machine comprises a brush holder which can be detached from a stationary unit, and a securing device for detachably securing the brush holder to the stationary unit. A manipulating lever is provided on the stationary unit to actuate the securing device. The brush holder can easily be mounted on or detached from the stationary unit by the manipulation of the manipulating lever for the puppose of removal and replacement of the brushes while the rotary electric machine is in operation.

Abstract: A brush holder structure for use in conjunction with transfer of current between a brush and a collector ring or commutator, respectively, on the rotor component of a dynamoelectric machine and which can be removed while the machine is in operation in order to renew worn-down brushes includes an electrically conductive support designed sectionally in L- or U-shaped form provided with a bore into which is screwed a combined mounting and plug-in device adapted to be removably inserted and interlocked with the brush rail structure of the electrical machine.
