Having Plural Axially Concentric Coils Patents (Class 310/49.19)
  • Patent number: 10284040
Abstract: A bipolar transverse flux electric motor that is configured to produce a uniform distribution of alternating magnetic fields through utilization of a specific stator and a first coil and a second coil. The bipolar transverse flux electric motor includes a first coil and a second coil wherein the first coil and second coil are positioned in a side by side configuration and wherein the first coil and second coil are have a current flow in opposing directions. The plurality of stators have a shape that includes upper portion and a lower portion with an internal void. The upper portion is greater in width that the lower portion and the lower portion includes two members configured to create a step form. The step form of the lower portion is configured to facilitate the inverse positioning of the stators so as to provide magnetic fields in opposing directions for adjacent stators.

  • Patent number: 10164509
Abstract: A separately excited electric machine having a stator provided with at least one exciter unit and a rotor provided with strips. Each exciter unit comprises two secondary magnetic circuits and one primary magnetic circuit. Each secondary magnetic circuit comprises a stator exciter winding and two annular yokes provided with teeth. The primary magnetic circuit comprises a rotor exciter winding and an annular ring. First magnetic fluxes generated by the primary magnetic circuit circulate around loops in each strip and second magnetic fluxes generated by the secondary magnetic circuits circulate around loops in the strips, the teeth, and the ring. Each strip thus has a first north pole and a first south pole, with the teeth comprising in alternation second north poles and second south poles.

  • Patent number: 9356500
Abstract: A stepper motor has a rotor having a permanent magnet, a stator housing and a plurality of stator coil assemblies disposed within the stator housing. Each coil assembly has a bobbin, a coil wound about the bobbin, and two pole plates having pole fingers extending axially inside of the bobbin. The bobbin is disposed between the two pole plates and defines a space accommodating the rotor. A number of magnetic detent plates are disposed about the permanent magnet rotor. Each magnetic detent plate has a central opening accommodating the rotor and a plurality of projections extending inwardly, spaced about the central opening. The projections interact with the magnetic field of the rotor magnet.

  • Patent number: 9214849
Abstract: A stepper motor is provided in which a permanent ring magnet is sandwiched in an outer part of the stator winding assembly located far from the gap between rotor and stator teeth, so that magnetic flux in the gap is dominated by the Ampere-turns of energized stator coils and therefore more easily controlled for reduced vibration at low stepping speeds. The rotor need not contain any permanent disk magnet. If one is provided, it can be completely embedded within the rotor and merely supplement the primary flux from the stator to enhance torque. In most cases, where the rotor lacks any permanent magnet, the motor's axial shaft can have a larger diameter and may, together with the rotor, form a linear actuator.

  • Patent number: 8084899
Abstract: A driving apparatus includes a first magnet, second magnet, stator, first coil, second coil, first bearing, second bearing and rotor. The first and second magnets respectively have a magnetized portion in which S pole and N pole are alternately magnetized. The rotor has a magnetic pole portion opposite to each magnetized portion. The stator fixes the first magnet and second magnet to the same axis to rotatably support the rotor. The first coil magnetically excites a portion where the magnetic pole portion of the rotor faces the first magnet. The second coil magnetically excites a portion where the magnetic pole portion of the rotor faces the second magnet. Thereby, a driving apparatus is provided which stabilizes the quality by simplifying the configuration of a rotor and makes it possible to realize high speed of rotation and improvement of response speed by decreasing the moment of inertia of a rotor.
