Abstract: An outdoor storage device for storing items, particularly items for use at a beach, lake, river or any other outdoor recreational activity. The storage device is comprised of a four-sided bin with a perforated bottom and hinged lid. The bottom of the bin contains one or more recessed anchor mounting holes for anchoring the bin to the ground such that the connection of the box and anchor bolt (or anchor stake or rod) is accessible only from the inside of the bin. A locking mechanism is attached to the box and includes a lock bolted to either the lid or front sidewall of the bin. The outdoor storage device may be rented as a storage means for condo owners, resort or theme park patrons, beach or lake visitors, etc. Alternatively, the outdoor storage device may be portable and temporarily anchored in the sand or other surface.

Abstract: An air conditioner outdoor unit including a box-shaped casing for accommodating at least a heat exchanger, an air blower, and a compressor. The casing has a front wall with an opening. A reinforcement rib is arranged near the opening of the front wall to increase compressive strength in the vicinity of the opening.

Abstract: An electronic device enclosure is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the enclosure includes a housing and at least one door pivotally connected to the housing, wherein the door is pivotally moveable between a closed position and an open position about a first pivot axis. The enclosure also includes at least one shield connected to the housing, wherein the shield is pivotally moveable between a closed position and an open position about a second pivot axis, and wherein the shield is adapted to protect the enclosure from adverse environmental conditions.

Abstract: A camouflaged outdoor fan system includes a housing, a fan inserted into the housing, and a camouflaged lid removably connected to the housing. The housing is buried in the ground, or in alternative embodiment, mounted to the underside of a deck, the fan is inserted into the housing, and the camouflaged lid is placed over the fan to hide the fan and housing from view. The fan is operable to generate and propel an air stream out of the housing that can be used for cooling purposes. The system also may include optional features, such as a water-misting device, a heater, motion detectors, an evaporative cooling assembly, a temperature switch, a humidity switch, a rain gauge switch, a wind sensor switch, a dc power source, solar cells, or a remote control system.

Abstract: A water resistant enclosure is provided for devices such as radios which are installed in, for example, marine vehicles where there is constant exposure to moisture, spray, and the like. An enclosure mounts to the vehicle and supports the device. A bezel frame seals the enclosure to a surface of the vehicle and a rotatable window protects the device faceplate and operating controls. The window is manually rotated and latched into a closed configuration. Seals on the bezel frame bear against a front surface of the window and seals on the rear surface of the window bear against an interior surface of the bezel frame. When manually unlatched, the window rotates to its open configuration.

Abstract: A housing for a telecommunications system is described. The housing contains a housing base for accommodating modules and module frames, and a covering shroud connected releasably to the housing base and, with the housing base, encloses the modules and the module frames. The covering shroud has a casing plate forming at least part of the covering shroud, and plastic moldings connected, in part, to the casing plate and/or the housing base. Some of the plastic moldings can be lined up in a row one beside another to form a wall surface of the covering shroud.

Abstract: A light weight, weather resistant document case which may be economically formed as a single piece by either vacuum forming or injection molding and shipped, in mass, in a nested configuration for final, simple assembly by the consumer. Due to the economies of production and shipping, the inventive document case, while relatively durable, may be considered disposable and recyclable. The document case has a top cover and a bottom housing which matingly engages with one another by protruding notches and a corresponding recess. The protruding notches are arranged and configured such that draining recesses are formed when the document case is in a closed state. Specialized graphic and/or textual displays may be molded, printed, or adhered to the case.

Abstract: A weatherproof enclosure is disclosed with a modular structure suitable for outdoor use for protecting equipments such as electrical, electronic equipments and instruments. The enclosure has a side wall panel assembly constructed from plurality of side wall straight panel members and side wall corner panel members. The side wall panel assembly is provided with a side wall frame assembly and a door assembly having matching door frame assembly corresponding to the side wall frame assembly. The door assemblies may be provided on both sides of the side wall panel assembly. A double door assembly also can be provided on front or back of the side wall panel assembly.

Abstract: An outdoor unit for an air conditioner having a reinforcing structure is disclosed. The outdoor unit comprises a base plate arranged at a bottom portion of a body of the outdoor unit; an upper plate arranged at an upper portion of a body of the outdoor unit; a plurality of support members connected between the base plate and the upper plate and arranged towards a circumference of the body with predetermined intervals; and a reinforcing member arranged between the support members for supporting the body of the outdoor unit, wherein the reinforcing member includes an upper reinforcing rod connected to both sides of the upper plate and prolonged to a lower direction; a lower reinforcing rod connected to both sides of the base plate and prolonged to an upper direction; and a connection reinforcing rod connected between the upper and lower reinforcing rods, thereby simplifying a construction of the reinforcing member which increases an intensity of the body of the outdoor unit and reduces a vibration.

The display panel is moveable from a first position where it is held adjacent to at least one of the top, bottom, rear, side or front surfaces of the cabinet, to a second position where it is extended from the cabinet. The display panel has a front surface that accommodates the posting and exhibition of written materials, printed items and other safety, emergency or regulated devices, equipment and materials.

Abstract: Provided is a banknote handling device embedded in an outer wall, in which a shutter for a deposit/withdrawal port is stably operated even in a rainy weather condition. According to the present invention, the banknote handling device including a door having an outer surface exposed outdoors, for covering a deposit/withdrawal port, incorporates a rain water draining means for draining rain water falling onto the outer surface of the door, outside of the device. The rain water draining means comprises an inclined surface incorporated in the outer surface of the door, a water channel through which rain water dripping from the outer surface of the door flows, and a drain pipe for receiving rain water flowing from the water channel, and draining the rain water outside of the device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a weatherproof enclosure with a modular structure suitable for outdoor use for protecting equipments such as electrical, electronic equipments and instruments. Abstract: The present invention relates to embedding a document with multiple watermark components at different printing stages. A document is preprinted to include a first digital watermark component. The document is then reprinted, perhaps with a lower quality printer, to include a second digital watermark component. In some cases the first component provides an orientation signal that is useful when trying to detect the second component. In other cases the first and second components are related or otherwise used to determine the authenticity of the document. In still other cases, the first and second watermark components carry information useful in determining the type of document, watermark-embedding hints and/or personal or serialized data.

Abstract: An outdoor enclosure defines an internal cavity for receiving an electrical cable and for protecting wiring connections from adverse environmental conditions, such as water from rain, sleet, melting snow, or melting ice. The enclosure includes a housing having a back wall, a pair of side walls, a floor, and a top wall that together define an opening for providing access to the internal cavity. A slide plate is removably attached to the housing and extends continuously at least the entire width of the opening. The enclosure further includes a door attached to the housing that is movable between a closed position covering the opening and an opened position to expose the internal cavity. The slide plate is positioned between the top wall of the housing and the door and defines at least one passageway with the top wall for permitting passage of the electrical cable from an initial enclosure to a subsequent enclosure vertically stacked on the initial enclosure.

Abstract: A storage cabinet for use on a golf cart has a body having an upper compartment and a lower compartment. The body is removably attached to and supported by the golf cart. The upper compartment has an upper closure member. The lower compartment has a lower closure member releasably attached to the lower compartment. Each closure member can be hinged to its respective compartment. The body may have a platform between the lower compartment and the golf cart to raise the lower compartment. The lower compartment has shelves. The shelves may be removable or fixed. Removable shelves can be placed at various heights within the lower compartment. The upper compartment is a thermally insulated container, or holds a thermally insulated container.

Abstract: An extendible shed which includes a first base panel having a back panel attached thereto, a first plurality of side panels attached to the back panel, a first roof panel connected to the first plurality of side panels and a front panel connected to the first plurality of side panels. The shed is extendible by removing the front panel and connecting a second plurality of side panels to the first plurality of side panels, reconnecting the front panel to the second plurality of side panels, connecting a second roof panel to the second plurality of side panels and the first roof panel and connecting a second based panel to the first base panel.

Abstract: A containment system for a packaged air conditioning unit is disclosed comprising a base pan, a first unit wrapper, a second unit wrapper, a compressor compartment partition, a condenser compartment partition, and a top cover having an indoor section and an outdoor section. The unit wrappers and the compartment partitions are guided into position during installation by engaging a notch formed on the wrapper or partition with a positioning cleat formed on the base pan. Because the unit wrappers and the partitions firmly abut the base ban throughout their length, these components help to laterally stiffen the base pan.

Abstract: A series of design features which render filing and similar cabinets resistant to water entry are described. The design features may either be incorporated at the time of manufacture or retro-fitted onto certain types of existing cabinets. The features comprise water deflectors mounted above drawers or compartments of filing cabinets, the water deflectors having a downwardly sloping front face for deflecting falling water away from the drawers or compartments and flanges fitted onto the sides and bottom of the drawers or compartments, thereby eliminating any gaps between the frame of the filing cabinet and the drawers or compartments of the filing cabinet, which will in turn prevent water entry into the filing cabinet.

Abstract: A weather resistant, ventilated case for storing and displaying messages, papers, and diverse articles in an exterior location such as a construction site. The case has a base, a cover, a hinge connecting base and cover, and a latch for securing the cover in a closed position. These components are preferably fabricated as a unitary assembly by injection molding of an elastomer. The latch can thereby be formed as resilient components urging the cover into the closed position. The cover has a transparent portion for displaying objects stored within, such as notices posted on an information display such as tack board, peg board, chalk board, marker board, or the like. The interior includes a pocket disposed upon the rear surface of the cover, a pen and pencil holder, and a prismatic recess formed in the base, for storing rolled papers. A tab projecting from the base maintains the rolled papers upright. The cover forms a recess for grasping the cover.

Abstract: A new and improved video order confirmation method and system that is adapted for use with a point-of-sale terminal and an audio order confirmation station to facilitate customer throughput. The video order confirmation system and method includes a point of sales terminal for receiving order input information from an order taker in response to order requests from a customer, and a video confirmation order terminal to facilitate order confirmation by the customer. The order confirmation terminal includes a free standing terminal housing having a microprocessor and display unit mounted therein for translating order items entered by an order taker at the point-of-sales terminal, into pixel images indicative of the description of the item ordered, the quantity of the item ordered, the unit price of the item ordered, the total price of the item or items ordered, and the accumulated total of all items ordered at any given time during the order process.

Abstract: A storage shed for providing easy access to tools and related items. Such shed includes a vertical imperforate back wall positionable at an elevated location with respect to a recipient surface such as the wall of a house. In association with the back wall are a front wall and parallel vertical side edges. A top edge is positionable parallel with the top edge of the back wall. The front wall has at least one large rectangular opening therein. Side walls couple the front and back walls. At least one door is positionable over a respective opening in the front wall. A pair of vertical side braces are located in the space formed between the front and rear walls and secured to the lateral side walls. The braces have horizontal slots at spaced elevations for shelf-receiving purposes, the slots being positioned in facing relationship in the braces. A plurality of shelves with lateral edges are received in the slots of the braces.

Abstract: A switchgear cabinet with a cabinet door and/or wall elements and a cover element covering the top, wherein a rain deflection device is disposed in the transition area between the upper horizontal edge of the cabinet door and/or the wall elements and the cover element. The removal of the collecting rainwater is possible with little structural effort in that in the transition area between the cabinet door and/or the wall elements and the cover element, a run-off channel is formed on the cover element or the cabinet door (wall element), and the cover element and/or the cabinet door (wall element) have guide devices, which guide the collecting water into the run-off channel.

Abstract: Switchgear is provided including an enclosure for pad-mounted installation. The enclosure includes large lift-up cover panels in combination with removable front panels so as to provide unobstructed access to the interior of the enclosure. In a preferred arrangement, the enclosure houses switchgear that includes low-voltage control and viewing arrangements that are operable from a first side of the switchgear and medium-voltage cable terminations that are accessible from a second side of the switchgear opposite the first side, the enclosure providing access to the low-voltage arrangements while providing isolation from the medium-voltage arrangements. The enclosure also includes protection from the environment in the area of the lift-up cover panels while also providing collapsible lifting members.

Abstract: An enclosure for housing electronic controls and devices that provides exceptional access to all sides of the enclosure and is both secure and aesthetically pleasing. The enclosure has a frame, semi-cylindrical doors, a top assembly, and a mounting base. Each of the doors has a door retaining member on its inner lower surfaces which engages and is supported by a receiving member mounted to a lower portion of the frame. The doors may be pivoted open and closed about the retaining and receiving members or may be completely removed from the base by simply lifting the doors off of the frame. Removal of the doors allows unobstructed access to the interior of the enclosure. The top assembly mounts on top of the frame and moves between a closed position and an open position. The top assembly includes a rim which overlaps and engages the top surfaces of the doors to securely retain the doors in the closed position. An opening and closing system mounted on the frame supports the top assembly in the open position.

Abstract: A switchgear cabinet with a door and with a cover secured to its top side. In order to make it easier to mount the cover on the switchgear cabinet, the cover has a bottom part connected to the top side of the switchgear cabinet and a top part that covers the bottom part. The top part is joined at a rear side to the bottom part by plug or hinge joints and has at its front side holding flaps that are hooked and held by a bent border of the switchgear cabinet door when the cover and door are in their closed position.

Abstract: A housing for an entertainment system is provided including a housing having a top face, a bottom face, a front face, a rear face, and a pair of side faces defining an interior space. The front face has a cut out formed therein with a recess formed about a top edge and pair of side edges thereof. The housing further includes an inner door hingably coupled along a side edge thereof a first predetermined distance from the recess of the front face within the interior space and further adapted to open outwardly thereby allowing selective access to the interior space. The housing further includes a pair of outer doors hingably coupled at outer side edges thereof to each side edge of the recess of the front face. As such, the outer doors are adapted to swing outwardly between an open orientation and a closed orientation with the outer doors residing within the recess and an intermediate space defined between the inner door and outer doors.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a support base for cabinets designed to house electrical and/or electronic apparatuses, and a cabinet equipped with such a support base. The support base comprises four corner blocks and four panels joining the corner blocks, the corner blocks each comprising an upper assembly plate and a lower assembly plate assembled to one another by vertical partitions, the upper plate comprising means for fixing the block to the frame of the cabinet, whereas the lower plate comprises means for fixing the block to the ground. These fixing means comprise two fixing orifices accessible respectively via the two external side faces of the block, each orifce having a fixing axis which is inclined by an angle of about 20.degree. with respect to the plane of the corresponding external face of the block. Each block comprises a vertical internal partition forming an angle of 45.degree. with the external faces of the block and comprising an opening for the passage of handling bars.

Abstract: A combination environmental protection table including a table plate having a hole formed centrally thereof and a recess formed on a bottom surface thereof, a bowl-shaped main body having an opening at a bottom thereof and a mouth formed in a side thereof, a post member formed by a truss and a door panel arranged in a cylindrical configuration having an interior trash-containing volume, a base having a top surface with a groove therein for receiving the post member therein, and a thimble member extending through the interior of the base, the post member, the main body and the table plate. The mouth of the main body has a lid extending thereover. The lid allows trash to enter the mouth. The main body is affixed into the recess of the table plate. The thimble member includes an upper thimble portion and a lower thimble portion. The upper thimble portion has an opening at a top thereof and a flange extending radially outwardly of the opening at the top.

Abstract: An indoor grille for a window room air conditioner of the type which has an indoor basepan which includes a downwardly extending horizontal rib on its underside. The unit includes a discharge deck at the upper side which substantially defines the entire upper indoor cover of the unit. The discharge deck has left and right ends thereof each of which is in vertically spaced relation with a precision located structural portion of the unit. Each of the structural portions is provided with a protrusion extending vertically upward therein in the space defined between the deck and the structural portions. The inlet grille includes a front wall and left and right hand wall portions integrally formed therewith. A lower flange extends from each of the front, left and right hand walls to extend beneath the basepan. An upper flange portion is provided extending from the upper edge of both the left and right hand walls.

Abstract: The present invention is a base assembly for a rooftop air conditioner. The offset tongue of one base rail is slidably received by an open end of the other base rail so that the length of the base assembly may be altered by simply slidably adjusting the relative position of the base rails. The base rails may have a U-shape or an L-shape so that when connected a rectangular base assembly is formed. Alternatively, the base assembly may include side rails and end rails which form a rectangular shape. The side rails and the end rails are formed from a single sheet of steel having a uniform width. The steel sheet is cut into four sections, with the side rails having tongues formed in their ends which engage open ends of the end rails. The corners of the base rails or end rails are integrally formed by bending the rails along lines at selected positions.

Abstract: An improved enclosure including the use of a seamless urethane gasket which is continuous and formed in situ on a planar surface, with no requirement for the gasket to be formed in a groove or for additional backing structure to be added. The enclosure also includes the use of concealed hinge with cutouts positioned on the door to permit at least a 180.degree. swing. The hinges are located outside of the sealing surface and do not overlap it, permitting the entire opening to be used, such that a full front window may be incorporated into the door without interference from the hinges.

Abstract: The present invention is an access panel for a roof top air conditioning unit. The access panel edges interfit with edges of the air conditioner cabinet to form a tortuous path for entry into the cabinet interior. The tortuous path inhibits air, water, and moisture penetration. Also, insulating material is trapped between the interfitting edges to further block the penetration and insulate the cabinet interior. At the top edge, a lip extends downwardly to provide a positive stop to keep the removable access panel from laterally falling.

Abstract: An improved interior cover is provided for an air conditioner having a cabinet and front grille, the cabinet is mounted in an aperture in a wall of a building. The improved interior cover consists of an enclosure member sized to fit over the front grille and front portion of the cabinet of the air conditioner. A mechanism is for removably securing the enclosure member to the front grille/front portion of the cabinet of the air conditioner, while another mechanism is for thermally sealing the enclosure member to a front surface of the wall of the building about the aperture so as to prevent cold air and wind infiltration to enter the building through the aperture.

Abstract: A closure for a three-part control cabinet having a base cabinet, a pivot frame and an inspection window box with a lock plate having a first lock element positioned in the front of the inspection window box. Manipulation of the closure from the front of the control cabinet is only achieved when the activation element of the first lock element is coupled, fixed against relative torsion, with a first catch insert which is rotatably seated at the back of the inspection window box. The activation element has a locking projection and can be inserted into a first catch retainer, fastened to the front of the pivot frame, and can be secured therein by rotating it. Subsequent to the first catch retainer, the front of the pivot frame has a first bearing retainer for a second lock element, the activation element of which is coupled, fixed against relative rotation with a driving bar.

Abstract: A real estate sales aid is disclosed in the form of a three-dimensional house which may be mounted next to the "For Sale" sign on property for sale. It includes a first chamber containing sheets providing information as to the house for sale. This chamber is accessible to the public through a hinged door. A second locked chamber is provided into which a reply card may be inserted through a mail slot.

Abstract: A modular marina power pedestal and light pedestal enclosure is fabricated from a pair of opposing flanged plastic sidepieces that are sized to accept both lamp enclosures as well as electrical power centers. A wide variety of customer options that include power receptacles, telephone connectors, metering facilities and water hook-up are available with slight modification. Existing lamp enclosures and power centers are received within the enclosure without modification.

Abstract: A plastic housing for a telephone paystation incorporating a new upper housing locking method with modified internal housing construction providing more cost effective design. The housing incorporates a system of locking rods, push bars and a rocker bar all operated in response to a key operated cylinder lock wherein the locking rods are adapted to engage or disengage strike plates secured to the internal portion of a rear housing shell included as a portion of the telephone paystation assembly.

Abstract: A mechanical device for displaying newspapers for self-service free access by prospective readers is provided in modular form, which in one preferred embodiment may sufficiently resemble the newsrack from which USA TODAY newspapers are vended as to cause prospective newspaper readers to make the connection. In the preferred embodiment the construction is modular, including at least one open-front, open-top box body-like bin with an interior back panel. The bin may be mounted on a pedestal or on a countertop, or it may be hung from a wall. Other similar bins may be stacked on the first and connected with it. A header panel, upstanding at the top rear of the uppermost bin may be used for a display copy of the paper. The bins preferably are molded of structural framed plastic resin.

Abstract: A control panel door is mounted to the front grille panel of an air conditioning system in such a way as to allow it to be opened by first pivoting it to an oblique position and then sliding it to a position behind the front grille panel. Provision is made for easily assembling the door to its supporting track structure while at the same time preventing its accidental disassembly when opening the door. Provision is also made for holding the door in the closed position.

Abstract: A universal cover for covering air conditioner compressor cabinets or the like which can be installed easily to protect the cabinet housing and the working parts therein. A sheet of flexible material, such as canvas, is provided with numerous strategically-placed fasteners and openings to allow the cover to fit a wide range of cabinet sizes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a unique mobile outdoor display cabinet which can be utilized, for example, to store and display automotive replacement parts at service stations. The display cabinet includes an open ended container adapted to contain a supply of the goods to be displayed, and a cover pivotally attached to the container for closing the open end of the container. The cover is counterweighted to stabilize and maintain the cover in either a closed position or an open position. The container includes a stop surface for limiting the pivotal movement of the cover in one direction to define the open position. In accordance with the present invention, the cover is provided with a panel section which, when the cover is in the open position, is spaced above and extends over the open end of the container to shelter the open end and protect the interior of the container.
