Abstract: A cabinet having a quiet, frictionally adjustable door hinge is disclosed. The cabinet door can be positioned anywhere between fully opened and fully closed positions. The cabinet comprises an adjustable hinge having an expandable member which contacts a bearing surface.

Abstract: A container for a fire extinguisher is of a lazy susan type including an inner housing and an outer housing on which the inner housing is rotatable about a vertical axis. The outer housing includes an octagonal top with a depending surrounding flange. The inner housing includes two side flanges which project outwardly to engage cooperating flanges on the outer housing for providing a vertical lip seal along the sides of the inner housing. The top and bottom panels of the inner housing are spaced from the top and bottom panels of the outer housing to allow an air flow through this area to maintain the housing free from condensation of the moisture.

Abstract: An electric locker apparatus with a plurality of locker boxes each having an electric lock device including a latch member normally maintained by a stopper member in a lock position in engagement with the door of the box, and biased toward an unlock position wherein the door can be opened, and an actuator responsive to electric command signal, with an output member movable into an operative position for allowing the latch member to be released from the stopper member and moved into the unlock position. The apparatus further includes an emergency unlocking device for forcibly moving the output member of the actuator into the operative position without requiring input of the command signal. The unlocking device has an emergent key cylinder into which an emergent key can be inserted from outside. The angular motion of the key is converted into a linear motion of the output member of the actuator toward the operative position.

Abstract: A media equipment cabinet with an integral pivoting television console support frame. The support frame comprises a support platform having a pivoting connection to interconnect the platform with the cabinet for pivotal displacement of the support frame on a vertical pivot axis having a pivot connection in a top wall of an opening provided in the cabinet. A wheel support assembly is secured under the support platform for supporting the platform elevated from a flat support surface and facilitating arcuate displacement thereon about the pivot axis so that a television supported on said platform may be angulated outwardly with respect to the cabinet and aligned in a desired direction of viewing of said television console.

Abstract: The specification describes a security system for protecting vending machines from vandalism and theft of the goods or money contained therein. The security system includes a cage and a door rotatably attached to one side of the cage. The cage is securely fixed to the floor on and/or wall against which the vending machine is placed. The door is lockable by a unique locking system and has a seam protection structure formed in the frame of the door for protecting vulnerable seams existent on the front of the vending machine. The security system is adjustable and formed from rugged steel bars.

Abstract: The invention relates to a storage locker for changing-rooms in sports facilities, for example. The locker comprises a semi-cylindrical chamber (1) in which is mounted a semi-cylindrical compartment (2) having a circular floor (4) and ceiling (5). The compartment (2) is mounted for rotation coaxially within the chamber (1) between a closed position in which the compartment (2) is outside the chamber (1) and an open position in which it is disposed therein. The compartment is biased towards the open position and away from the closed position. The lockers are drained and the compartment (2) stacked vertically in double rows with a common carcase providing the walls of the chambers (1). The lockers have electromagnetic locks and a computer providing a central supervisory and surveillance system providing warnings in response to alarm signals generated in response to abuse of the locks.The invention is especially applicable to swimming-pool changing-rooms.

Abstract: A profile frame of a folding door and the associated cabinet-side door frame for a cabinet are described. The profile of the cabinet-side and folding-side vertical beam has a diagonally outwardly open cavity covererd on its end faces by bearing eyes arranged on the horizontal beams. The associated door-side vertical beam is provided with an arcuate step extending longitudinally between the bearing eyes and which is integrated in externally flush manner into the recess of the cabinet-side vertical beam. The arcuate step is coaxial to the bearing eyes and receives the hinge bolts located there. The bolt-side vertical beam of the folding door is preferably provided with a swing bolt, which cooperates over the entire length of the vertical beam with a cabinet-side shoulder and which is operated by means of an eccentric bolt.

Abstract: A remotely operated cash box assembly comprises a box-like structure having a front wall portion, a rear wall portion and two side wall portions. Rotatably mounted between the front wall portion and the rear wall portion is a spring urged cover member. A solenoid actuated latch mechanism mounted to the front wall portion engages a latching surface on the cover member latching the cover member upon movement of the cover member to a position engaging the front wall portion. Energizing of the solenoid releases the cover member for movement to a position adjacent the rear wall portion opening the cash box assembly. Located within the cash box assembly is a cash tray having separate compartments for coins and bills in which the bill compartments are orientated in an upward direction to facilitate the removal and depositing of bills in the tray.

Abstract: A fishing tackle box which is preferably constructed of moldable lightweight material such as plastic, in which the box includes a plurality of hinge-mounted drawers which are operable from open to closed position, in which positive latches are incorporated to hold the drawers in closed position, in which the drawers may be moved from open to closed position with one hand of a user, in which the drawers are easily interchangeable with similar drawers so that spare drawers may be substituted for and interchanged with those mounted in the tackle box without changing the contents of the drawers.

Abstract: A trash pail for installation in a cabinet having a swingable door, the cross section of the upper opening of the pail being closed by a lid which is fastened to one cabinet wall bearing the door hinges and which is moved into the open position upon the opening movement of the door which is coupled with a support for the trash pail. The support, upon the opening of the door, displaces the trash pail out of the cabinet below the lid, which remains within the cabinet. The support is formed as an angle member having arms. Within the angular space of the arms a non-circular corner part of the wall of the trash pail at an upper edge rim of the trash pail is complementarily form-lockingly removably suspended over the upper end edge of the arms of the angle member.

Abstract: A storage unit such as a pantry cupboard for a kitchen is disclosed. The unit includes a cabinet enclosure and a pair of doors for closing the enclosure. A pair of bi-fold panels are provided inside the enclosure and are hinged to respectively opposite sides of the enclosure so that each pair of panels can be disposed in a folded configuration when the doors are closed, or extended out of the enclosure when the doors are open. The inner face of each panel is provided with storage racks arranged in a superimposed series and the panels are inset into the cupboard to an extent sufficient to accommodate the racks.

The holder comprises a manipulatable four-bar-linkage system by which the bin is adapted to be raised to a higher level position and maintained self-supported in such position. The elements of system are so designed and assembled that the same unit may readily be employed for right-hand and left-hand mountings.

Abstract: Door mounting structure for reversibly mounting two vertically aligned doors on a cabinet such as a combined refrigerator/freezer. Upper and lower removably mounted hinge pins are disposed at the top and bottom of the cabinet adjacent a first side thereof. An intermediate hinge bracket is located adjacent the bottom edge of the upper door and the top edge of the lower door. This hinge bracket has a mounting portion and a support portion. The support portion is adapted to extend between the two doors and it includes a pivot hole for a slip fit with a double hinge pin. This intermediate hinge bracket is inverted in one side hinge position as compared with the opposite side hinge position. This hinge bracket also includes a side arm that has a lost-motion connection to a front frame of the cabinet to stabilize the mounting portion of the bracket.

Abstract: A stackable storage and display container comprises a base, opposed side walls and a rear wall, the top and front of the container being open, and a reinforcing bar pivotally mounted on the opposed side walls for movement between an operative position, extending between the side walls at the front of the container for maintaining the spacing of the side walls, and an inoperative position adjacent the rear wall, the bar in its operative position extending above the level of the side walls of the container, the base of the container being provided with a corresponding recess for receiving the reinforcing bar of a like container on which the one container is stacked.

Abstract: A dental treatment environment having dental equipment coordinated relative to a reclining patient chair in a manner to provide minimum doctor time and motion and maximum efficiency. The chair has a patient headrest located adjacent a cabinet. An articulated first arm adjustable vertically and horizontally is movably mounted on the cabinet. The arm carries a tray useable for dental hand instruments and slow speed hand piece. An extendible and contractible second arm which moves up, down, side to side is attached to an upright support and has connected at its outer end a holder for dental high speed air turbines and air-water syringe. Both the tray and holder are movable to locations relative to the headrest whereby the transfer zone between tray and holder and patient is of minimum area. An operating light unit and its holding members are mounted on top of the support. A doctor's sink cabinet is located adjacent the doctor's side of the chair.
