Abstract: A jaw-mounted magnet accessory is provided for being coupled to a caliper measuring jaw. The jaw-mounted magnet accessory includes a magnet configuration and a mounting arrangement interface. The magnet configuration includes at least one magnet that produces a magnetic field that extends from an operational face of the magnet configuration. The jaw-mounted magnet accessory is configured to locate the operational face of the magnet configuration proximate to the workpiece engagement surface of the caliper jaw so as to hold a workpiece (e.g., made of ferrous material) against the workpiece engagement surface. Utilization of the magnetic field to hold the workpiece in flush alignment with the workpiece engagement surface makes it more convenient to handle small or thin workpieces and/or may increase the accuracy and repeatability for measurements of some workpieces.
Abstract: A test device for testing whether the distance between centers meets specifications includes a support member, a benchmark member set on a first end of the support member, to be positioned at the first through hole, a test member set on a second end of the support member, to be positioned at the second through hole, and a sliding member defining a receiving slot. The test member is also slidable in a direction perpendicular to the slidable direction of the test member. If the test member can enter the receiving slot, the first article is qualified, if test member cannot enter the receiving slot, the second article does not meet the required standard.

Abstract: A gauge (1) for rig-related measurements of a rowing boat involves a graduated slider (2) which is slidable longitudinally within a tube (3) that is parallel-mounted via pivoted links (6) on a bar (4). A head (9) of the slider (2) carries a laser (10) and is used with the bar (4) located in a seat-runner 21 to sight its beam B on the swivel-pin (24) or the face-of-work (27) of an oarlock (23). A reading of the slider-graduations is made and then again after the slider (2) has been extended with the head (9) turned down to bring the beam (B) onto the heel (25) of a rowing shoe (26) fixed in the boat. Difference between the readings gives the work-to-heel distance. Measurement of the distance-through-the-work is made from the swivel-pin (24) or face-of-work (27), to either the front end of the runners (21) or the front of the seat (22) when pushed fully forward.
Abstract: A detecting apparatus is capable of detecting a vertical distance between a first axis and a second axis on a workpiece. The detecting apparatus includes a supporting plate, a first positioning member, a second positioning member, and a measuring member. The first positioning member and the second positioning member are arranged on the supporting plate along the first axis, and fix the horizontal position of the workpiece. The measuring member is arranged on the supporting plate along the second axis, and is capable to slide along the second axis. The measuring member is able to pass a bottom hole of the workpiece if the workpiece is qualified, and is unable to pass the bottom hole if the workpiece is not qualified.

Abstract: A detection device for detecting a distance between centers of two through holes includes a support member, a base member, and a measurement member. The base member and the measurement member are set on opposite ends of the support member. The base member is operable to enter one of the through holes. A distance between a center of the base member and a center of the measurement member is equal to a normal distance between centers of the two through holes. If an actual distance between the centers of the two through holes meets a determined specification, the measurement member will enter the other through hole. If the actual distance between the centers of the two through holes does not meet the determined specification, the measurement member cannot enter the other through hole.
