  • Patent number: 10605583
Abstract: In a control method of a drive stage device, a stage is floated on an air bearing, then a height of the stage while floating on the air bearing is measured as a first height. A work piece is placed on the stage and a height of the stage while holding the work piece is measured as a second height. A difference between the first height and the second height is calculated as a drop amount, and a weight of the work piece is calculated based on the drop amount. An upper limit speed of one of rotational drive and horizontal movement of the stage is determined based on the calculated work piece weight. A speed of the one of the rotational drive and the horizontal movement of the stage is controlled so as to not exceed the upper limit speed.

  • Patent number: 8898924
Abstract: A test device includes a base rested on an object, an inserting member slidably mounted to the base and contacts a slanted surface of a chamfer of the object, and a test member slidably rested on the base. The base includes a positioning bar abutting a bottom end of the chamfer. A first cutout and a second cutout communicating with the first cutout and positioned in front of the first cutout are defined in a bottom surface of the testing member. A depth of the second cutout equals the tolerance of a standard depth of the chamfer. If a top surface of the inserting member can be received in the second cutout, the depth of the chamfer is qualified. If the top surface of the inserting member cannot be received in the second cutout, the depth of the chamfer is unqualified.

  • Patent number: 8512261
Abstract: A Perineal elasticity meter having a circular central stem marked with millimeter markings and a sleeve portion surrounding the circular stem. Hinges connect the sleeve to expanders that extend from the circular stem. The perineal elasticity meter is configured to be inserted into the vagina of a patient in order to measure the elasticity of the perineal area. The sleeve includes an opening that shows a circumferential measurement achieved by the expansion of the expanders, as the sleeve moves along the central stem. Another perineal elasticity meter includes two stems connected via a hinge at a proximal portion of the stems. The proximal portions of the stems are configured to be inserted into the vagina of a patient and a measurement is taken of a distance between the expanded distal portion of the stems, thereby measuring the elasticity of the perineal area.

  • Patent number: 8505211
Abstract: A measuring device is adapted for determining a safety thread length LS of a fastener required for fastening a wheel onto a wheel hub unit. The measuring device includes an elongated measuring rod, a positioning member secured to a front end of the measuring rod and configured to abut against a circumferential abutment seat of the wheel, and a plurality of modular sleeves, each configured to be sleevably positioned on and matched up with the measuring rod. Subsequent to bringing the positioning member to abut against the circumferential abutment seat, the modular sleeve is dragged forwardly until a front sleeve end reaches an inner major surface of the wheel, and LS is determined to be equal to the distance between the front end and a rear sleeve end of the modular sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8413492
Abstract: A cylinder sleeve surface measurement assembly for measuring a surface roughness of a cylinder sleeve, especially a cylinder sleeve formed in an engine block. The assembly includes a fixture that holds a surface profiling device. The surface profiling device is provided with a stylus that perpendicularly projects from a measuring arm, and the fixture holds the surface profiling device such that the stylus remains in perpendicular contact with the surface of the cylinder sleeve. To ensure perpendicular contact, the fixture is provided with an arcuate surface that defines an arc matching that of a portion of the cylinder sleeve. Accordingly, the arcuate surface allows the measuring arm to remain parallel to a surface of the cylinder sleeve, thereby ensuring that the stylus remains perpendicular thereto.
