With Particular Electric Output Or Circuit Patents (Class 33/736)
  • Patent number: 11781853
Abstract: A measuring device is provided for measuring an advancement of a cable of a sewer cleaning and/or sewer inspection system. A rotatably mounted magnet is designed such that the advancement of the cable can cause rotations of the at least one rotatably mounted magnet, wherein the magnet follows a movement of the cable in the radial direction during advancement of the cable. A corresponding method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7475490
Abstract: A handheld yarn measuring device (1) for monitoring yarn in yarn processing machines. The yarn measuring device includes a catcher (8), which when a trip lever (6) is actuated, places the yarn over a yarn applicator element (27) of a force sensor (29). The yarn tension and speed is detectable and delivered to a processing device for display and further processing. The device, which may be operated by one hand, has a boomerang-shaped housing (2) one end of which supports the trip lever (6), a control knob (10) and a display (5). The control knob (10) can be twisted and depressed by the user's thumb so that the selection of all the measurement and operating modes can be done with only the thumb. The measurement is performed by means of the trip lever (6), which actuates both the yarn catcher (8) and a measurement activation switch (49).

  • Patent number: 7377051
Abstract: A tubing counter for counting coiled tubing inserted into a well includes an outer housing having a through passage for receiving the coiled tubing therethrough. In some embodiments, pressure rated connectors at both of the ends of the outer housing sealably connect the outer housing in series between the coiled tubing injector head and the outer casing of the well. A plurality of counting wheels are rotatably supported within the outer housing for rolling engagement along coiled tubing inserted through the outer housing while a counting mechanism records a number of rotations of each counting wheel independently of the other wheels to minimize counting errors. Locating the counter below the injector head and below the tubing stripper ensures that the tubing is cleaner and less likely to slip in contact with the counting wheels while also accounting for stretching of the tubing for more accurate measurement.

  • Patent number: 4920274
Abstract: This invention presents both a method and device capable of accurately measuring fixed lengths of moving strand or yarn as it is pulled from an essentially continuous source of supply and wound onto a take-up reel by an appropriately powered winding mechanism. In its preferred embodiment, the invention is used to measure lengths of fiberglass strand unwound from forming packages and onto rotating bobbins carried on a twist frame. As its principal component, the invention utilizes a lightweight, low inertia measuring rim supported on a layer of pressurized gas, such as air, so that frictionless rotation of the rim about a stationary hub is thereby made possible. Moving strand is maintained in continuous contact with the rim thereby causing it to rotate. The number of rotations is counted by electrical means and multiplied by the circumference of the rim whereby the length of strand advanced over the rim and onto the rotating bobbin is calculated.
