Rectilinear Push Or Pull Actuator Patents (Class 33/802)
  • Patent number: 11465771
Abstract: A flight control surface position sensor assembly for an aircraft including a position indicator positioned on a pulley wherein the pulley is secured to the aircraft and the pulley engages a cable associated with a flight control surface of the aircraft. The flight control surface position sensor assembly further includes a sensor which senses rotation of the position indicator with rotation of the pulley.

  • Patent number: 8739427
Abstract: A manual gauge measures a specimen's thickness by pressing surface contactors against its opposing surfaces. A rigid C-frame has upper and lower jaws providing a means for engaging a specimen and for gauging its thickness using a linear probe that is caused to move linearly between the jaws by a handle assembly. The handle assembly is joined with the C-frame at a point that is co-linear with a force vector of the probe against a workpiece resting on one of the jaws. The force of the probe is transmitted through the specimen to the jaw. The handle leverages from this jaw so that there is no force applied between the jaws thereby avoiding error due to the varying hand pressure by the operator and the resultant strain in the C-frame during measurements.

  • Patent number: 8578620
Abstract: A measurement apparatus for measuring alignment of screen printed images has a body with a top surface and a bottom surface and an opening extending between the top surface and the bottom surface, and a measuring device for measuring an offset between the screen printed images. The measuring device is positioned adjacent the opening at the bottom of the body. An adjusting mechanism is cooperative with the measuring device for selectively adjusting the measuring device. A gauge is positioned on the body and cooperative with the adjusting mechanism so as to provide a positive numerical indication of the offset between the screen printed images.

  • Patent number: 5369890
Abstract: A self-positioning caliper is provided having an elongated base adapted to rest on a flat horizontal surface; a stationary jaw and a movable jaw projecting upwardly from the elongated base, the movable jaw being held by tension, for example gravity, against the stationary jaw. When the object to be measured is inserted between these jaws via a V-shaped recess provided at the upper end thereof it pushes the movable jaw away from the stationary jaw by the distance which is measured by an electronic measuring unit mounted to move with the movable jaw by the same distance and to measure the same and display the measurement. The caliper may also include side plates allowing measurement of the length or height of an object which is not readily measurable by the caliper's jaws.

  • Patent number: 4873771
Abstract: The slide (3) is provided with a pusher (5) mounted on an axle (7), wherein this axle (7) is connected to the slide (3) by way of a spring (8) pretensioned within a chamber (8a). If the measuring jaws (2) and (4) or (13) and (14) are pressed against the object to be measured with a specific measuring force, the axle (7) is displaced against the action of the spring, the displacement of the axle (7) being blocked by a clamping element (9) so that the force exerted on the object to be measured is given solely by the spring (8), the effect of the force exerted by the user on the pusher (5) being excluded. This arrangement permits precise measurement in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 4843721
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a measuring device with a rotary visually readable dial for determining discrete measurements of linear displacement between the finger caliper and the indexing caliper jaws of the measuring device. A gauge slide bar provides a rack which drives a set of gears. One of the gears in the gear train is spur gear which is mounted to the rotary indicia bearing dial, so that as the gauge bar slide reciprocates within the compartment formed by the caliper cover and base, the indexing caliper linear displacement is tracked by the indicia provided on the rotary dial for both English and metric measurement. Also shown is a one piece card which defines an aperture formed into a staircase pattern to discretely define varying sizes of nuts or bolt heads.
