Abstract: This technique relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, and a program that can demodulate transmitted signals with high accuracy. A receiving device of this disclosure includes: an amplifying unit that amplifies a received signal; an adjusting unit that adjusts gain of the amplifying unit in accordance with power of the signal; a demodulating unit that demodulates the amplified signal; and a detecting unit that detects an interval from the signal, information having the same content continuously appearing in the interval. The adjusting unit restricts the process of adjusting the gain of the amplifying unit in accordance with a result of the detection of the interval. This disclosure can be applied to receiving devices that receive broadcast signals compliant with DVB-C2 via a CATV network.
Abstract: A semiconductor package (20) includes circuits (22, 24). The circuit (22) includes electrical devices (52, 54) interconnected by a bondwire array (62). Likewise, the circuit (24) includes electrical devices (58, 60) interconnected by a bondwire array (64). Signal wires (76) of the bondwire array (62) are proximate to signal wires (78) of the bondwire array (64). Ground wires (66, 68) are located on either side of, and close to, bondwire array (62). Ground wires (70, 72) are located on either side of, and close to, bondwire array (64). The ground wires (66, 68, 70,72) are electrically coupled to a ground region (74). The ground wires (66, 68, 70, 72) reduce a magnetic flux density (140) via induced return currents (126, 130) on the ground wires of opposite polarity to signal currents (124, 128) on the bondwire arrays (62, 64) to reduce inductive coupling between the adjacent bondwire arrays (62, 64).
Abstract: A programmable passive inductor includes two inductors or coils, each having a self-inductance, magnetically coupled together and having a mutual inductance proportional to a magnetic coupling factor. The relative magnitude of the currents through the two inductors can be dynamically varied, which changes the effective inductance.
Abstract: A transformer of power-amplifier module for an audio device includes a casing having a first plug and a second plug formed thereon. In the casing, there is an amplifying circuit having an input electrically connected to the first plug and an output electrically connected to the second plug of the casing. The amplifying circuit terminates in a transformer at the output. Furthermore, the transformer is adjustable so as to control the amplitude of output voltage of the transformer of power-amplifier module.
Abstract: An isolator circuit of the type designed to accept an input current and to generate a corresponding output current which is isolated from the input. The isolator circuit is formed with a core developing a flux in response to the input current and having a feedback winding for carrying the isolated output current. A magneto-sensitive element, such as a Hall effect element, responds to flux in the core, and an amplifier receives the output of the magneto-sensitive element and supplies a current to the feedback winding so as to cancel the flux produced in the core due to the input current. Improved frequency response is attained by means of a compensation winding disposed to respond to the difference between the flux produced by the input current and the flux produced by the output current.
