  • Patent number: 10601705
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a first DCN operating in a first datacenter as a logical network gateway that processes messages between other DCNs of the logical network and external entities, which address the logical network gateway using a first address. The first DCN has an interface with a second address for use in the first datacenter. The method stores a mapping between the second address and a third address. A second DCN operates the logical network gateway in a second datacenter and has an interface with the third address for use in the second datacenter. From the second DCN, the method receives connection state data, describing connections between the external entities and the DCNs of the logical network, that uses the third address. The method replaces the third address with the second address in the connection state data using the stored mapping and stores the connection state data.

  • Patent number: 10574557
Abstract: Embodiments generally disclosed herein include a computer-implemented method for monitoring and correlating network traffic data associated with a primary network that is in communication with a plurality of secondary networks. The method generates a network traffic data set by monitoring network traffic between the primary network and the plurality of secondary networks. The method also determines a mapping of network connectivity by monitoring inter-network routing information between the primary network and the plurality of secondary networks. In addition, the method generates a traffic measurement data set by monitoring network utilization statistics between the primary network and the plurality of secondary networks. With the collected data sets, the method then calculates a relational network mapping between the primary network and the plurality of secondary networks by correlating the network traffic data set, the mapping of network connectivity, and the traffic measurement data set.

  • Patent number: 10541016
Abstract: Read-only (“RO”) data consisting of a physically unclonable function (“PUF”) pattern is written to a ferroelectric random-access memory (“FRAM”) memory array. The FRAM array is baked to imprint the PUF pattern with a selected average depth of imprint and a corresponding average read reliability. The average depth of imprint and corresponding average read reliability are determined during testing after baking. The PUF pattern as read after baking is compared to the PUF pattern as written prior to baking. Additional PUF pattern writing and baking cycles may be performed until the average depth of imprint and associated read reliability reach a first selected level. Integrated circuits determined to be over-imprinted by exceeding a second selected level may be rejected. The first and second levels of PUF pattern imprint are selected such as to produce FRAM arrays with a unique fingerprint for each individual FRAM array-containing integrated circuit.

Abstract: A method of programming a flash memory is described. The method includes partitioning a flash memory into a first group having a first level of write-protection, a second group having a second level of write-protection, and a third group having a third level of write-protection. The write-protection of the second and third groups is disabled using an installation adapter. The third group is programmed using a Software Installation Device.

  • Patent number: 8898312
Abstract: A terminal allows immediate receipt of notification, while holding down the load on a management control device. The terminal has a timer value storage for storing a timer value, a counter for counting the cycle indicated by the timer value, a connection request part for transmitting a connection request to the management control device every time when the counting is finished, an event detector for detecting an event, and a timer value modifier for modifying the timer value to a value indicating a shorter cycle, upon occurrence of the event. The connection request part further transmits the connection request to the management control device, upon occurrence of detecting the event, and the timer value modifier modifies the timer value a value indicating a longer cycle, upon receiving a message indicating that there is no processing request from the management control device.

  • Patent number: 8843634
Abstract: Partition configuration and creation mechanisms for network traffic management devices. In some implementations, the present invention enhances the predictability of partition hierarchies that use weighting values and fixed rate guarantees. In some implementations, the present invention includes a configuration interface that constrains the manner in which partitions can be configured to achieve predictable and efficient results. In some implementations, the present invention includes a partition creation and deletion layer that operates to dynamically create partitions based on one or more partition patterns.

  • Patent number: 8605576
Abstract: A communication network system includes a processor, and a plurality of node apparatuses using a protocol to establish paths therebetween, wherein the processor determines each of the node apparatuses to be a packet source or a packet destination, and operates to detect an occurrence of failure in two paths being established between the packet source and the packet destination in the communication network system, and wherein the processor transmits packet data including user data through one of the two paths, and when one of the node apparatuses detects an occurrence of a failure in one of the two paths, the processor changes the path to the other path.

  • Patent number: 8589570
Abstract: A network device forwards a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) setup request from an originating user device toward a destination user device via multiple network elements and intercepts a message-too-large error message sent from one of the multiple network elements to the originating user device. The network device automatically splits the session setup request into smaller SIP messages, where a size of each of the smaller SIP messages is less than or equal to a particular size of message that the network element will accept. The network device then notifies another one of the multiple elements that the session setup request has been split into the smaller SIP messages and sends, via the multiple network elements, the smaller SIP messages toward the destination user device on behalf of the originating device.

  • Patent number: 8060620
Abstract: A network enabled computer receives connection profile information in a generic form and creates one or more native mode profiles to establish connections. By accepting profile information in a generic form, profile information can be readily provided from one or more ways, including from a policy server, through a user interface or from a third party application. The profile information can be provided with an order of precedence so that profile information from different sources may be combined appropriately. Additionally, the profile information may be provided in an extensible format to allow profile information to be distributed to multiple computers, even if some have different hardware or software configurations and are not programmed to recognize extensions of the profile information.

  • Patent number: 8000232
Abstract: A redundancy control method is disclosed that controls a first redundancy function that switches between a working line and a protection line in response to a detection of a line error and a second redundancy function that performs a path switching in response to a detection of a path error in a ring network operating at a path rate lower than a line rate thereof. The method comprises a step of masking the path error detection within a period from a time of the detection of the line error to an expected time of the detection of the path error.
