  • Patent number: 11600332
Abstract: Devices and techniques for programmable atomic operator resource locking are described herein. A request for a programmable atomic operator (PAO) can be received at a memory controller that includes a programmable atomic unit (PAU). Here, the request includes an identifier for the PAO and a memory address. The memory addressed is processed to identify a lock value. A verification can be performed to determine that the lock value indicates that there is no lock corresponding to the memory address. Then, the lock value is set to indicate that there is now a lock corresponding to the memory address and the PAO is invoked based on the identifier for the PAO. In response to completion of the PAO, the lock value is set to indicate that there is no longer a lock corresponding to the memory address.

  • Patent number: 11542725
Abstract: An indicator assembly for a lock assembly in which rotation of an indicator barrel having different indicator symbols is facilitated via magnetic forces. Upon locking of the lock assembly, such as via a push button assembly, an actuator is linearly displaced in a first direction, thereby causing an activation pin that is connected to the actuator to push an activation carrier in the first direction. The activation carrier can also be rotated so that a first pole of a first magnet that is coupled to the activation carrier is linearly and rotatably brought into closer proximity to a similar first pole of a second magnet that is coupled to the indicator barrel. Such displacement of the first magnet can cause a repelling force to be provided between the first and second magnets that facilitates the rotation of the indicator barrel about the lever from a first position to a second position.

  • Patent number: 10125525
Abstract: Barricade devices and methods of barricading a door are disclosed. Such devices and methods may be used to barricade a door, and thereby prevent an intruder from entering a sheltering space, such as a classroom, storeroom, or hallway. The barricade-device may have a pivotable stop-device that is pivotable from a location adjacent to a door. The pivot-location may be at an elevation that is lower than a door handle on the door. The stop-device may be pivotable from a reserve-position to a stop-position. In the reserve-position, the stop-device does not barricade the door. In the barricade-position, the stop-device barricades the door. Operation of the barricade-device may require the use of one or more major muscle groups of the body, but need not require precise dexterity of the fingers or hands (e.g. such as that required to manipulate small keys, latches, and/or the grasping and turning of assemblies).

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for tamper-proof protection of containers used for shipment of goods. The system contains a lock with electronic and mechanical components and a controller. A sensor is connected to a lock so that if forms a closed loop. The sensor can be an optical fiber or a distributed arrangement with an optical or an electrical shield. The electronics in the lock provide real time monitoring of the status of the lock. The lock cannot be opened or reproduced due to the signature of the closed loop which is stored in a remote server. Intrusions detected are relayed to an authorized recipient via a variety of communication channels. The data and control of the entire system is protected with several programs targeted to provide cybersecurity.

Abstract: A method for transforming data includes receiving information defining a transformation of a source file to a target file, wherein the information identifies a web service and generating, based on the received information, a script operable when executed to implement the defined transformation. The script is then stored. The method further includes receiving a request to perform the transformation on a first file and initiating execution of the script. Additionally, as part of executing the script, the method includes transmitting a service request to the web service that includes input data obtained from the first file. Also as part of executing the script, the method includes receiving a service response from the web service, wherein the service response includes output data and writing the output data to a second file.
