  • Patent number: 8310499
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system for creating a display from multiple projectors receives as an input a source pixel derived from an image to be displayed. The system generates a scalar-adjusted pixel by applying a scalar for an adjustment range to each channel value in the source pixel, where the scalar depends on whether the source pixel is gray or color. The system modifies each channel value in the scalar-adjusted pixel according to a luminance adjustment curve for a projector, where the luminance adjustment curve depends on whether the source pixel is gray or color. The system generates the luminance adjustment curve from captured calibration images by: (1) creating an interpolated response curve; and (2) generating and inverting a median difference curve based on the interpolated response curve for the projector and the interpolated response curves for the other projectors in the system.

Abstract: In an imaging mass analysis, image information of a sample allows users to grasp specific information about the sample, such as distribution of a portion with a particular function or effect. The mass spectrum intensity data are normalized for each pixel so that the sum of the intensities over the entire mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) is one. Entropy is calculated by totaling the product of the intensity normalizing at each m/z and the logarithm of that intensity over the entire m/z range. After the entropy is calculated for each pixel, the pixels are colored according to their entropy values to display a two-dimensional color image of entropy distribution. The entropy of a cancerous portion is relatively small because of a high content of a specific kind of substance and the simplified composition of the substances. Thus, the cancerous part and the normal part of the entropy image can be distinguished.

Abstract: A graphic rendering system and a pixel update method thereof are provided. The graphic rendering method comprises a processing unit and a storage unit. The storage unit is stored with a piece of information. The piece of information defines a virtual area on a display. A pixel of the display overlaps a part of the virtual area, and the part corresponds to a color. The pixel defines a first boundary, a second boundary, a third boundary, and a fourth boundary. The processing unit decides a first coverage rate, a second coverage rate, a third coverage rate, and a fourth coverage rate of the virtual area on the first boundary, the second boundary, the third boundary, and the fourth boundary, respectively. The processing unit decides a display color of the pixel with reference to the color and the first coverage rate, the second coverage rate, the third coverage rate, and the fourth coverage rate.

  • Patent number: 8164597
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of color conversion circuits and color conversion methods convert input color data into output color data. The input color data is positioned in a three-dimensional color space, which is divided into a plurality of unit cubes each having a fixed dimension. The input color data is converted by performing interpolations using conversion coefficients at vertexes of the unit cube within which the input color data is positioned. When the input color data is positioned on a gray axis of the color space, a substitution circuit substitutes some of the conversion coefficients such that the interpolation becomes a linear interpolation. As a result, it is assured that input color data positioned on the gray axis is converted to gray output color data.
