    Abstract: A system and method are provided that allows a speaker to provide real-time annotations to one or more displayed images during a presentation. The speaker inputs the annotations my manually identify a portion of the displayed image using an input mechanism such as a touch screen that is in communication with a presentation monitor and a control system that is controlling the presentation. The identified portions are annotated onto the displayed images using a adaptive color that is selected to provide optimum contrast with the existing colors in the displayed image. In addition to providing adaptive, contrasting colors for the annotations, imperfection such as waviness are removed from the identified portions to created corrected portions that are then annotated onto the presentation image. Annotation is accomplished through computer generated graphics or through the use of a motorized, controllable laser pointer.

It is determined based on a color prediction value between the grid points whether the measured color values are appropriate, and if so, a color value at a grid point at which the total colorant amount exceeds the restriction is estimated based on the measured color values. A color separation table is created based on the measured color values and the estimated value.

The method further includes computing an image color palette for an input image. The image color palette includes a second set of colors that are representative of pixels of the input image. Colors of the image color palette are mapped to colors of the concept color palette to identify, for colors of the image color palette, a corresponding color in the concept color palette. A transformation is computed based on the mapping. For pixels of the input image, modified color values are computed, based on the computed transformation, to generate a modified image.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for changing a color of an asset used as part of a displayed avatar from an initial color to an destination color. An indexed color can be defined for the asset, where initial colors of the asset that are sufficiently similar to the indexed color can be changed to replacement colors. In particular, the replacement colors can include gradients or other optical effects that may be similar to those of the initial colors. A model encoding color information for each pixel of an asset can include a color index indicating whether the color of the pixel is changeable. In some cases, the model for a particular pixel may be converted from a RGB model to a HSV model for reducing the processing that may be required to define replacement colors when a selection of a destination color is received.

Alternate color gamut data is then selected according to the current ambient light data from a color gamut look-up table that contains optimized color gamut data for a variety of ambient light data associated with the digital media file. Display correction parameters are then determined based on the alternate color gamut data. The display correction parameters are applied to present a more optimal rendition of the digital media file. The light sensor periodically re-detects the ambient light conditions so that any changes can be re-processed to update a rendition of the digital media file as it is displayed.

    Abstract: A method for selecting a desired color from a screen display using a color selection tool that may appear as an eyedropper. Rather than independently choosing pixels or a matrix of pixels, the user blends a color by selecting pixels using a mouse cursor. In response, the color of each selected pixel is incrementally blended into the current color at a constant rate. That is, each selected pixel is blended with the current color according to a constant blending factor. In this manner, the current color changes at a constant rate with the contribution of each successive pixel. This approach allows the user to gradually blend colors from the screen display, much as a painter would gradually mix colors on a palette.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a unique color management method for calibrating and characterizing a light mixing system comprising a set of primary light modules emitting self-luminous color primaries, which may be intimately mixed to produce a batch color that matches a standard color. Otherwise, a matrix method based on matrix algebra may also be used to create a batch color that matches a standard color.
