  • Patent number: 11880407
Abstract: A method for generating a database, having “receiving environmental noises” (e.g. disturbing noise) and “buffered environmental noises for a migrating time window” (like 30 or 60 seconds) alternatively “deriving a set of parameters relative to the environmental noises” and of “buffering the set of parameters for the migrating time window”, he buffered environmental noises or the buffered set of parameters being generally referred to as recording, furthermore “obtaining a signal”, which identifies a signal class (like disturbing noise) of a plurality of signal classes (disturbing noise and non-disturbing noise) in the environmental noises, and “storing the buffered recordings responsive to the signal” in a memory (e.g. internal or external memory). Obtaining and storing are repeated in order to set up the database which has a plurality of buffered recordings for the same signal class.

  • Patent number: 11669564
Abstract: A data processing system for aggregating, tagging and distributing unstructured data as structured data in real time and methods for manufacturing and using same. A camera for capturing photographic images is deployed at a selected event and, upon capturing an image of one or more event attendees, associates the image with native metadata. The native metadata includes attendee contact information for enabling the camera to send the image to the attendee in real time. The camera likewise sends the image and native metadata to a content processing system, which separates the raw image data from the native metadata and utilizes the native metadata to identify additional derived metadata for the image. By aggregating images from multiple events and tagging the images with the native and derived metadata, the data processing system advantageously can store the unstructured images in content wrappers as structured data for facilitating later distribution.

  • Patent number: 8863208
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium for synchronizing video are described. The system captures video data with a camera, the video data including a first video data segment and a second video data segment. When a network between the camera and a hub is insufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system stores the first video data segment on a first storage. When the network is sufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system transfers the second video data segment from the camera to the hub, reads the first video data segment from the first storage, and transfers the first video data segment to the hub. The system stores the video data segments onto a second storage such that a non-real-time playback from the second storage shows the first video data segment and the second video data segment in sequence.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention includes a method for managing media files created by a digital camera. More specifically, a content analyzing module tags a media file with one or more location media tags, event media tags, and/or content media tags. The location media tags are indicative of the geographic location where the media file was created. The event media tags are indicative of an event where the media file was created; and, the content media tags are indicative of individual(s) in the media file. A priority analyzing module connected to the content analyzing module determines a priority of the media file based on priority rules and the location media tags, event media tags, and/or the content media tags. A storage management module connected to the priority analyzing module stores the media file based on the determined priority.

  • Patent number: 8830802
Abstract: According to an embodiment, there is provided an information recording apparatus, such as a digital camera, arranged to record information on a detachably mountable storage medium, such as for example to record video data on the storage medium. In one version of the apparatus, when a connection of an AC adapter is cancelled, the storage medium is detected by a storage medium detection unit, and in a case where the storage medium is not mounted to the mounting unit, a warning is issued, for example in an audio output unit or a display unit. Accordingly, the user can find out that the storage medium is not mounted before the digital camera has been brought outside for use. Thus, it may be possible to prevent a failure in which the user first realizes that they forgot to mount the storage medium only when they are already away from home.

Abstract: An improved image tagging system that tags images in a mobile handheld communications device, based on the user's contacts list stored therein. The image tagging system compares a face in a given picture (that the user has just taken using the built-in camera) to faces in the user's contacts list images. A matching contact is found in the contacts list. The picture is then tagged with information from the matching contact. The picture is tagged by inserting identification information into a header of the picture.
