Abstract: Example methods and systems for generating a video presentation to accompany audio are described. The video presentation to accompany the audio track is generated from one or more video sequences. In some example embodiments, the video sequences are divided into video segments that correspond to discontinuities between frames. Video segments are concatenated to form a video presentation to which the audio track is added. In some example embodiments, only video segments having a duration equal to an integral number of beats of music in the audio track are used to form the video presentation. In these example embodiments, transitions between video segments in the video presentation that accompanies the audio track are aligned with the beats of the music.

When a request to truncate a data stream from a certain position (e.g., from a request-specified stream cut) is received, an evaluation is made to determine whether the requested position is within a data retention period as specified by data retention policy. If any data prior to the stream cut position (corresponding to a stream cut time) is within the data retention period, the truncation request is blocked. Otherwise truncation from the stream cut point is allowed to proceed/is performed. Also described is handling automated (e.g., sized based) stream truncation requests with respect to data retention.

Abstract: Particular embodiments extract features for frames from a video. Then, a sequence of frames is identified based on a pattern analysis of frames based on the features. This pattern may be used to select sentinel features from the sequence of frames. For example, a pattern may include a first sentinel sequence followed by a transitional frame and then a second sentinel sequence. The transitional frame may be a black frame that is used to identify back-to-back sentinel sequences. Then, a sentinel frame that demarks a transition from a first content type to a second content type is identified. For example, the frames on either side of the black frame may be very similar and be identified as sentinel frames that mark a transition from program content to advertisement content. • Patent number: 11233950
Abstract: An electronic device includes an open-close detector configured to detect an open-close state indicating whether an optical path open-close device of a film camera is open or closed, a displacement detector configured to detect a displacement of a movable portion of the film camera interlocked with a movement of an operation portion of the film camera, and control circuitry. In response to a detection result of the displacement detector, the control circuitry selects a measurement mode for measuring an open time during which the optical path open-close device is open, from a plurality of operation modes of the electronic device. In the measurement mode, the control circuitry measures the open time based on the open-close state detected by the open-close detector.
