Abstract: A secure network device management system and method include monitoring and validating commands to network devices before such commands are executed. The security system accumulates inputs from a network device intended for display on a terminal and provided by the network device in response to inputs from the terminal and received by the network device. When a control input to execute the command is received from the terminal, the security system reproduces the command from the accumulated inputs and compares the reproduced command to a command list to determine whether the command is authorized. If so, the security system provides the control input to the network device such that the network device executes the command. Otherwise, the security system may delete the command and transmit an alert to the terminal.

Abstract: A system for targeted advertising is disclosed having with a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, having a computer program stored therein, the computer program including but not limited to instructions to map each of N channel numbers to the new and unique channel number at a set top box when a subscriber selects one of the N channel numbers, wherein each of the N channel numbers is the same in each of the K advertising groups, and wherein each of the N channel numbers is mapped to a different new channel number in each of the K advertising groups.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating location-aware group recommendations are discussed. For example, a method can include operations for receiving a group recommendation request, accessing user profile data associated with members of the group, and generating a group recommendation. The group recommendation request can be received at a network-based system and include identification of a first and second user as well as information identifying a current location associated with the first and second users. Accessing the user profile information can include accessing user profile information for both the first and second users. The group recommendation can be generated based on the current location data and a combination of at least a portion of the user profile data from the first and second users.
