Abstract: Bandwidth modulation may enable most of the display data-path to operate at a lower performance level to reduce power consumption by using compression as part of the display engine capability. Use of compression may afford a bit rate reduction and/or lane width reduction on the display interface to support high resolution display. With the bit rate and/or lane reduction and selective use of a refresh rate reduction, this technique can be used to lower the power consumption of the display data-path.

Abstract: Downlink is achieved by point-to-multipoint communication. There is provided a radio communication system 1 that provides information to a mobile terminal 3 via a radio communication device 2 that performs radio communication with the mobile terminal 3. The mobile terminal 3 is capable of receiving first downlink information that has been transmitted by point-to-multipoint radio communication receivable by a plurality of the mobile terminals 3, and capable of receiving second downlink information that has been transmitted by point-to-point communication. The mobile terminal 3 is capable of transmitting uplink information by point-to-point radio communication. The first downlink information and the second downlink information are formed such that information to be used in the mobile terminal 3 is obtained when the mobile terminal 3 performs information processing by using both the first downlink information and the second downlink information.

Abstract: In response to a request, one of primary content data as a copyrighted work and incidental content data is received from a server. With a music editing and sharing application, the content data is used in a secondary usage fashion for editing in order to produce new incidental content data. The incidental content data is not the one that is produced by arranging directly the primary content data as an editing material but play control information for giving an instruction defining a play mode. The incidental content data is uploaded to an incidental content server.

Abstract: Audio signal processing enhances audio watermark embedding and detecting processes. Audio signal processes include audio classification and adapting watermark embedding and detecting based on classification. Advances in audio watermark design include adaptive watermark signal structure data protocols, perceptual models, and insertion methods. Perceptual and robustness evaluation is integrated into audio watermark embedding to optimize audio quality relative the original signal, and to optimize robustness or data capacity. These methods are applied to audio segments in audio embedder and detector configurations to support real time operation. Feature extraction and matching are also used to adapt audio watermark embedding and detecting.

Abstract: A security management system may be remotely deployed (e.g., using a cloud-based architecture) to add security to an enterprise network. For example, the security management system may scan assets within the enterprise network for vulnerabilities and may receive data chunks from these scans. The security management system may also receive data chunks from other sources, and, as a result, the system may handle data chunks having many different formats and attributes. When the security management system tries to associate data chunks to assets, there may not be a globally unique identifier that is applicable for all received data chunks. Provided in the present disclosure are exemplary techniques for tracking assets across a network using an asset correlation engine that can flexibly match data chunks to assets based on the attribute or attributes that are available within the data chunks.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing recommendations for an activity to a user are provided. In one method, the method tracks status information of a plurality of users, and detects a trigger for providing recommendations for an activity. In response the trigger, the method identifies a cluster of users based on the status information of the users. The method further retrieves profiles and behavioral characteristics of the users in the identified cluster, and provides one or more recommendations for the activity to the user based, at least in part, upon the behavioral characteristics and the profiles.

Abstract: Techniques of performing authentication involve comparing current user authentication factors with previous authentication factors selected from multiple users during a single authentication session. Along these lines, suppose that an authentication server receives current browser characteristics from a user computer during a current authentication session. Based on the current browser characteristics, the authentication server selects previous browser characteristics received from devices used by multiple users during previous authentication sessions. For example, the authentication server may select previous browser characteristics based on the whether any of the results of a modified, locally sensitive hashing (LSH) of the previous browser characteristics match any of the results of a modified LSH of the current browser characteristics.

Abstract: A real time information manager which processes raw data from data providers, such as feeds of current information about financial product offerings, is provided. Raw data objects received from various data providers are analyzed, formatted, and a current version of each unique data object is stored in an object storage pool. Information about the state of each objects is transmitted on a particular output data channel in accordance with the type of object. A subscriber process can access one or more of the data channels and utilize the broadcast data. In one configuration, one or more client managers are provided which subscribe to particular data channels and serve as an intermediary between the real time information manager and sets of clients.

A first image capturing device image-captures a subject to record this image, and also transmits a trigger signal to a second image capturing device. Thus, the first and second image capturing devices enable both of an overall image and a zoomed image to be obtained with simultaneous timing.

The systems, methods, and techniques described herein determine that a message includes a keyword and, based at least on the identified keyword, determine at least one item to recommend. The message can be annotated with an identifier of the recommended item, and responsive to activation of the identifier, the supplemental information regarding the item can be presented.

The method also includes determining whether the first handle address is included in the group of handle addresses, transferring information from the first subscriber device to the group of subscriber devices in response to the first handle address being included in the group of handle addresses, and verifying that the transferred information was received by the group of subscriber devices. For the method, a request is received over a communication network from a client device for playing a media asset in accordance with a streaming media technique. Prior to fully authorizing the client device to play the media asset, the client device is provided with access to a first cryptographic key that decrypts a subset of the media asset so that the client device is able to render the subset of the media asset before completion of the authorization. The subset of the media asset is less than all of the media asset. Subsequent to successfully fully authorizing the client device to play the media asset, the client is provided with access to at least one additional cryptographic key that decrypts a remainder of the media asset.
