Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a photographing processing method based on brain wave detection and a wearable device. The method includes evaluating an emotional state of a user based on a detected brain wave signal of the user. Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for content management and collaboration systems. Embodiments address handling remotely-stored preformatted previews of remotely stored content objects for display on a user device without having to store a local copy of the remotely stored content objects to the user device. A user operates a content object viewer that is provided as part of the operating system running on the user device. As provided, the content object viewer includes a graphical user interface for accessing files of the operating system. Using the graphical user interface capabilities of the content object viewer, the user selects a particular one of the remotely stored content objects. Upon such selection, the content object viewer displays a preview of the particular one of the remotely stored content objects without having to have a local copy of the particular one of the remotely stored content objects at the user device.

Information on a plurality of first image groups used for generation of a previously ordered album is stored in an order reception database. A second image group is transmitted from one user to an order reception server, and an image group similar to the second image group is found from among the plurality of first image groups. Images similar to images extracted as images to be used for an album from the found image group are extracted from the second image group. The extracted images are arranged in the album. An album similar to the previously ordered album is generated.

Abstract: A technique in the present disclosure makes it possible to accurately obtain a value selected by a user with respect to a selection-type item for which a legend is prepared in a situation where a value entered in a document is extracted from a scanned image of the document. An item name is extracted from a document image, input information input by a user is extracted from the document image, and a legend is extracted from the document image. Additionally, in a case where the input information is unsuitable as a value corresponding to the item name, the value corresponding to the item name is obtained based on the legend and the input information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an image registration method and apparatus, and an image stitching method and device. The image registration method includes: calculating a correlation coefficient image between a reference image and a floating image; calculating a gradient image of the correlation coefficient image; determining a pixel with extreme correlation coefficient in the correlation coefficient image according to a pixel with extreme gradient in the gradient image; and registering the reference image and the floating image according to the pixel with extreme correlation coefficient. The above image registration method and apparatus have high universality, require a small amount of calculation, and can ensure real-time operation and obtain a more accurate registration result. The image stitching method and device are realized based on the image registration method, thereby improving the speed and accuracy.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention analyze and score each image associated with a group to determine representative image or images for the group. Such analysis can include detecting objects shown in the images, determining the quality of the images, and/or contextually analyzing the images as a group. In some embodiments, each image in a group (e.g., an event) of images can be analyzed by one or more image analysis modules that calculate a score for the image based on a different image characteristic. A composite image score can then be calculated based on the various image characteristic scores to identify the image or images to be used as to represent the group.

Abstract: A method and electronic device implementing the same are disclosed herein. The electronic device includes a touchscreen which may detect a touch input, a hover input and a frequency from a stylus, and display a particular application. The device may further include a control unit implementing the method, which includes detecting, via the touchscreen, the hover input generated by proximity of the stylus to the touchscreen and the frequency generated by the stylus, and execute a function corresponding to the particular application, the hover input and the detected frequency.

Abstract: The invention provides a computer-implemented authentication method comprising the step of enabling a user to input an identifier (e.g. a PIN) into an electronic device having a screen and a keypad operable within a keypad zone of the screen; by operating at least one key of the keypad via an image of at least part of a scrambled keypad which is displayed at least partially within the keypad zone. The user's operation of the keypad key via the image generates an encoded version of the user's intended input. In one sense the invention can be perceived as superimposing a non-functional image of a scrambled keyboard over an underlying, functional keypad. The image may be any type of electronic image, and may include a video image. The invention is particularly suited for use with, but not limited to, mobile phones, tablet computer, PCs etc. It can be implemented in any system wherein a user's identity must be verified before access is granted to a controlled resource.

A sub image is selected to be laid out on a sub slot in the template, which is smaller than the main slot, based on the second image evaluation for each of the plurality of images. The main image is laid out on the main slot in the template, and the sub image is laid out on the sub slot in the template.

Abstract: A method for processing media assets includes, given a first media asset, deriving characteristics from the first media asset, searching for other media assets having characteristics that correlate to the characteristics of the first media asset, when a match is found, deriving content corrections for the first media asset or a matching media asset from the other of the first media asset or the matching media asset, and correcting content of the first media asset or the matching media asset based on the content corrections.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to detect shapes are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein include determining a first likelihood of detection for a reference shape at a first distance from an image capturing device, and storing the reference shape in a first group of a plurality of groups in the database based on a comparison of the first likelihood of detection with a first threshold, the first group associated with the first distance. Disclosed examples also include selecting reference shapes of the first group to compare to an object outline detected in an image in response to a query, the query including a depth value associated with the detected object outline, the selecting of the reference shapes of the first group based on the depth value.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention analyze and score each image associated with a group to determine representative image or images for the group. Such analysis can include detecting objects shown in the images, determining the quality of the images, and/or contextually analyzing the images as a group. In some embodiments, each image in a group (e.g., an event) of images can be analyzed by one or more image analysis modules that calculate a score for the image based on a different image characteristic. A composite image score can then be calculated based on the various image characteristic scores to identify the image or images to be used as to represent the group.

An MFP as the image processing apparatus generates or changes print data for printing print contents on a recording sheet to generate printed matter. Based on the print data, image data for a surface of a sheet is generated by arranging two or more pages on the surface of the sheet. If a page is not to be rotated through 180 degrees, image data is generated by arranging the pages in a predetermined layout, whereas if all pages are to be rotated through 180 degrees, image data is generated by arranging the pages in a different layout from the predetermined layout.

Abstract: A method for characterizing a colour rendering reprographic apparatus for making an output colour profile comprises the steps of measuring a set of colour values, indicative of output of the colour rendering reprographic apparatus on a predetermined medium and processing these measurement data to profile data that are applicable for creating an output colour profile according to the standards of the International Colour Consortium. The processing step comprises a correction of a measured colour value with a medium compensation value that depends on the medium gray colour value at the same lightness as the measured colour value. The medium gray colour value is a value that results from the application of black colorant on the predetermined medium. The medium compensation value reduces to zero at the lightness of the predetermined medium. The effect of this processing step is that a profile is generated that gives prints that are both free of background colorant and have natural colour rendering.
