This results in the generation of a plasma region with electrically balanced charge carriers within the variable pressure environment due to barrier discharge occurring at the interface of the reference emitter and the outer surface of the dielectric channel. • Patent number: 8730641
Abstract: A static electricity removing apparatus for removing static electricity of a charged object comprises a discharge electrode which generates an ionized air having a polarity opposite to that of the object by discharge, an auxiliary electrode which is provided with openings for the ionized air generated by the discharge electrode to pass through, and an electric field forming means which forms an electric field in a space between the auxiliary electrode and the object. The electric field forming means generates the electric field between the auxiliary electrode and the object by allowing a potential having a polarity opposite to that of the object to occur in the auxiliary electrode at the start of the static electricity removal and decreases the electric field between the auxiliary electrode and the object when an absolute value of the potential of the object is equal to or less than a predetermined value.

Abstract: The present invention provides a static elimination device which is used for a stacker with a fan filter device. Characterize in that the static elimination device is provided at the end side of each shelf facing the fan filter device in the stacker. Said end side is opposite to the end side of the shelf which a cartridge moves in and out. Two ends of the static elimination device are free to rotate and connected to shelf holders at said end side. Under the action of the fan filter device blowing the airflow, the ions, which are used to eliminate the static, are blown from the static elimination device into the cartridge of the shelf and the surface of the glass substrate on the cartridge. The present invention further provides a stacker. The stacker and the static elimination device according to the present invention can effectively eliminate the static of the cartridge and the glass substrate surface in the same, which can decrease the equipment costs.

Abstract: A multi-sectional linear ionizing bar with at least four elements is disclosed. First, disclosed bars may include at least one ionization cell with at least one axis-defining linear ion emitter for establishing an ion cloud along the length thereof. Second, disclosed bars may include at least one reference electrode. Third, disclosed bars may include a manifold for receiving gas or air from a source and for delivering same past the linear emitter(s) such that substantially none of the gas/air flows into the ion cloud. Fourth, disclosed bars may include means for receiving the ionizing voltage and for delivering same to the linear emitter(s) to thereby establish the ion cloud. In this way, disclosed ionizing bars may transport ions from the plasma region toward a charge neutralization target without inducing substantial vibration of the linear emitter and without substantial contaminants from the gas/air flow reaching the linear emitter.

Abstract: A static elimination device is proposed for eliminating static electricity on the surface of a large-size glass substrate. The static elimination device includes a rotation axis and an electrostatic neutralizer. The rotation axis is installed outside a cassette in which the glass substrate is installed. The electrostatic neutralizer is permanently connected to the rotation axis. The rotation axis is driven to rotate, causing the electrostatic neutralizer centered on the rotation axis to rotate back and forth at a specific angle. The static elimination device of the present invention features simple structure, low fuel consumption and high efficiency, low cost, and high efficiency in static elimination. Owing to these features, the static elimination device of the present invention could work very well for the glass substrate of an arbitrary size. A cassette including the static elimination device is also proposed.
