Abstract: The present invention provides a dual-substrate antenna package structure and a method for manufacturing the same. The package structure includes a main substrate and at least one antenna substrate. The antenna substrate is provided on a pad of the main substrate by an array of solder balls placed on the antenna substrate, at least one chip is electrically connected to the main substrate, and metal wiring provided on the main substrate electrically connects the pad to the chip. The array of solder balls includes support solder balls and conventional solder balls, and the support solder balls have a melting point high than 250° C. A spacing distance between the antenna substrate and the main substrate can be kept stable during the reflow soldering process and subsequent processes because the support solder balls having the high melting point can always maintain the stability of the structure during the reflow soldering process.

Abstract: An electronic functional label and a special production process for such a label, which can be equipped with electronic components in very simple, fast, and effective manner, without a soldering process that is connected with high temperatures. For this purpose, a carrier substrate preferably having printed electronic structures is equipped with electronic components by means of an electrically conductive adhesive. The use of special electronic components (sensors and optical/acoustic actors) that interact with their surroundings proves to be particularly advantageous in this connection. High-quality labels, in particular, having surprising interactions can be produced in a simple and cost-advantageous manner.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of coating a surface with a water and oil repellant polymer layer. The method comprises the steps of providing a substrate with a surface, exposing the surface to a monomer compound, and exposing the surface to a continuous plasma having a plasma power provided by a plasma circuit. During the exposition of the surface to the continuous plasma, the plasma power is reduced from an initial higher plasma power to a final lower plasma power, the final lower plasma power being less than 35% of the initial higher plasma power, thus applying an even polymer layer exhibiting a water contact angle of more than 110°.

Abstract: An electrical contact area on a printed circuit board (“PCB”), that would otherwise be subject to abrasion and possibly also corrosion, can be protected by covering it with another, more durable contact structure that is bonded to the first-mentioned contact area using an anistropic conductive adhesive (“ACA”). The more durable contact structure may include a member of PCB material or the like with electrically connected electrical contacts on its upper and lower surfaces. At least the upper one of these contacts (which is exposed for the service that involves possible abrasion and/or corrosion) may be given high durability by plating it with hard gold. The lower of these contacts is adhered to the main PCB via the above-mentioned ACA.
