Abstract: An extendable light box of this invention, which can be collapsed as an enclosure-type light box or extended to a wide-open type of photography system, comprises a photography platform and left, right, back and top lamp-housing. The left, right and back lamp-housing are connected to the photography platform with a sliding/extending mechanism, such as a slide guide or shearing-type extending unit. The top lamp-housing stands on the back lamp-housing and connected with a rotating mechanism, such as a joint. The photography platform and the back lamp-housing can be combined into a unit. The photography platform can also be a lamp-housing, or/and with a rotating turntable embedded. At least one horizontal and vertical joint are configured on the sliding/extending mechanism for horizontal rotating and vertical folding. Therefore, those lamp-housings can be moved away from the photography platform or even rotate and fold to the height and direction for lighting.

Abstract: An illumination optical system of a 3-dimensional (3D) image acquisition apparatus and a 3D image acquisition apparatus including the illumination optical system. The illumination optical system of a 3D image acquisition apparatus includes a beam shaping element which outputs light having a predetermined cross-sectional shape which is proportional to a field of view of the 3D image acquisition apparatus. The beam shaping element may adjust a shape of illumination light according to its cross-sectional shape. The beam shaping element may uniformly homogenize the illumination light without causing light scattering or absorption.

Abstract: An optical lighting device includes a radiation detector, a first light source and a second light source. The radiation detector includes a semiconductor chip and an optical filter, and has a spectral sensitivity distribution. The first light source generates white radiation. The second light source generates monochrome radiation in the visible spectral range, wherein radiation emitted by the first light source and radiation emitted by the second light source are superimposed to yield mixed radiation which includes a wavelength spectrum. The wavelength spectrum of the mixed radiation is adapted to the spectral sensitivity distribution of the radiation detector.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for white light observation and fluorescence diagnosis of skin diseases. More particularly, the present invention provides an apparatus for photodynamic diagnosis in which a plurality of excitation light emitting diodes (LEDs) is provided in an image pick-up head, the excitation LEDs being arranged to illuminate the entire examination region in the form of a mosaic by setting respective illumination light axes of the excitation LEDs to illuminate preassigned individual areas of the examination region, thus uniformly illuminating the examination region in a wide field of view with excitation light. In the apparatus for photodynamic diagnosis, the respective excitation LEDs are provided at the same or different angles based on the light axis of the object lens, and thereby it is possible that the beams of the light sources composed of the LEDs illuminate the field of view of the examination region uniformly, thus improving the uniformity of illumination.
