Abstract: A luminaire carried by a lighting fixture, having a generally concave-shaped housing defining an optical chamber and an aperture, and a plurality of lighting devices each having a heat sink, a light source, and a magnetic attachment member. Each lighting device may be positioned about the inner surface of the housing. The magnetic attachment member may magnetically bind a lighting device to pads proximate to ferromagnetic material in the housing. Light emitted by the light source may enter the optical chamber and pass through the aperture in a generally orthogonal direction in relation to the orientation of the device. Electrical power may be delivered by one or more power supply units of either an external or an on-board type, and by using either inductive or conductive coupling. Network interfaces may enable communication of control instructions among a multiple controllers located either within a single luminaire or distributed among multiple luminaires.

Abstract: The present invention relates to different embodiments of high bay lighting fixtures comprising many improved features, such as the ability to dissipate heat from a light source in a non-traditional manner. One such example is the elimination of a traditional heat sink by placing housings and/or a heat spreader plate in thermal contact with the light emitting elements. By doing so, the housings and/or heat spreader plate can dissipate heat from the light emitting elements and spread it throughout the lighting fixture. Different embodiments also help dissipate heat from the light source by spreading out the light emitting elements. Other embodiments improve heat dissipation by using air slots, so that heat can more easily escape from the lighting fixture. Still another example of dissipating heat from the light source can be to use heat fins.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein generally relate to apparatus for processing substrates. The apparatus generally include a process chamber having a substrate support therein. A plurality of lamps are positioned to provide radiant energy through an optically transparent window to a substrate positioned on the substrate support. The plurality of lamps are positioned in a lamp housing. A cooling channel is formed in the lamp housing. A surface of the lamp housing is spaced a distance from the optically transparent window to form a gap therebetween. The gap functions as a fluid channel and is adapted to contain a fluid therein to facilitate cooling of the optically transparent window. Turbulence inducing features, such as openings, formed in the surface of the lamp housing induce a turbulent flow of the cooling fluid, thus improving heat transfer between the optically transparent window and the lamp housing.
