Abstract: A flashlight holder assembly for releasably receiving a flashlight of the type having head rotatable with respect to a barrel for operation thereof. The barrel of the flashlight defines a faceted exterior surface. The holder defines a barrel support and a base. The barrel support defines a faceted internal surface and a slot which cooperate to closely receive the barrel such that the barrel is retained in the barrel support in a non-rotatable manner. The base defines a base plate to which the barrel support is secured. In one embodiment, the holder includes a clip which extends from the base plate and is positioned below the base plate and cooperates with the base plate to receive and retain the periphery of an article therein.

Abstract: An anti-luxation device for clasper of power-supply wires in a lamp string, which mainly comprises a clasper of socket; the clasper includes a wide wall plate and a top flat surface, between which an arm plate extends outwards, and the tail end of the arm plate has a hook hole; the arm plate is connected with the clasper by means of a bendable thin plate; after the arm plate is bent upwards, it will be in contact with the hook furnished and extended out between the cylindrical surface of the socket and the top flat surface, and then the hook hole and the hook can be mated together with a light pressing force without luxation between the clasper and the socket upon the power-supply wires being pulled unintentionally.

Abstract: A flexible lighting system and method of making same. The flexible lighting system includes a flexible translucent rod and an attachment flange. Preferably, the outer casing and the attachment flange are integrally formed to facilitate installation. The flexible translucent rod includes an outer casing and a lighting core. The lighting core is disposed within an axial aperture defined by the outer casing and contains a series of lighting elements. In the preferred embodiment, a texture, such as axial grooves, is applied to a surface of the flexible translucent rod. This texture is applied to the outer surface of the lighting core or the inner surface of the outer casing to diffuse the light emitted by the discrete lighting elements, thereby providing an appearance similar to a solid bar of light. A mounting arrangement is provided for engaging the flexible translucent rod, or a coupler portion thereof, and is arranged to facilitate coupling of the flexible lighting system to a mounting surface.

Abstract: In a first aspect of the invention, a light set arrangement is provided. The light set arrangement includes a plurality of decorative lights and connectors, each decorative light and connector extending along a longitudinal axis. At least one electrical wire connects the plurality of decorative lights to each other. The arrangement also includes a plurality of retaining members wherein each retaining member retains the electrical wire connected to the decorative light and connector so that the longitudinal axis of each decorative light and connector is generally parallel to the electrical wire. In a second aspect, a light connector is provided including a light bulb holder adapted for holding a light bulb, and a socket body. The socket body has a longitudinal axis, an outer surface and an opening to receive the light bulb holder.

Abstract: A decorative lighting net includes a plurality of intersecting electrical wires accompanied by a plurality of bulb units. By use of larger type bulbs, the net can provide a better lighting decorative effect. Each bulb unit includes a cap engaged with a bulb holder that secures a pair of wires to the bulb holder. The cap has a pair of hooks extending from a rear of the cap for engagement with a connector provided around other wires, to obtain a secure connection of the bulb units at the intersections of the wires for providing the decorative lighting net.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a coupling mechanism used for mounting decorative light bulb sets on a board. The coupling mechanism consists of a mounting board with a plurality of light bulb holder bases and a pair of clasp hooks formed on the light bulb holder of each decorative light bulb set. The coupling mechanism enables a light bulb holder to be easily snapped in a light bulb holder base of the mounting board. In this way, users can arrange a plurality of decorative light bulb sets to form a planar pattern. When these decorative light bulbs are turned on, they shine to show a desired figure or image, resulting in a decorative effect.

Abstract: A working lamp with wire-winding device, including a working lamp, a light shade, a hanging hook body, a wire box and an adjustment ball. The light shade is made of opaque material and fitted on the outer tube. The outer tube with the light shade is passed through the hanging hook body, whereby the working lamp can be conveniently hung or stand in use. The light shade serves to shade the strong light directly projected onto the eyes of a worker. A front, a middle and a rear sections of the working lamp are fitted with collisionproof blocks. A pressing rod and a guide rod are disposed at the wire releasing port of the wire box. The adjustment ball is positioned therebetween. The working lamp is shockproof and collisionproof. When not used, the excessive wire is tidily collected in the wire box and stopped by the adjustment ball with a certain length of wire reserved for the working lamp. The working lamp can be conveniently and mobilely used without occupying much room.

The light includes a receptacle of tubular body, having an upper opening, a pair contact plate in the bottom respestively conneoted to a pair of electrical wires, and a pair of positioning arms laterally extended from an outer periphery abutting the opening and each including a retaining hole abutting a vertical slot at front end, and a lamp including a bulb embedded itno a base which is engageable itno the receptacle with a pair of contact wire engaged with the contact plates and a pair of binding rods paralled extended laterally from an upper periphery and positioned in alignment with the positioning arms, when a linear object is disposed in place between the binding rods and the positioning arms, the binding rods are bent downward about 90.degree. to have front ends retained into the retaining holes of the positioning arms. So that the light is stably attached to the linear object.

Abstract: An illumination skeleton with a foldable structure for mounting lamps includes two connecting plates, a plurality of lamp frames, and a plurality of lamp sockets. Both ends of each lamp frame are connected to the two connecting plates, respectively. Each lamp socket which is inserted with a lamp is clamped with and fixed on the lamp frames. The illumination skeleton can be folded with less space for storage and the cost of manufacturing is reduced. Furthermore, the illumination skeleton has a wide variety of versatile appearances.

Abstract: The invention is an illuminating device for doorknobs. The apparatus comprising an acrylic prism of a horseshoe shaped and of a size that allows it to fit over a standard sized door knob and then reside upon the back plate of the door knob. The prism is lit by two LED devices located at either end of the prism and powered by small batteries. The device illuminates door knobs or handles with a minimum of electrical power and easy to use for people of all ages.

Abstract: A flashlight and a tool are held in a housing that rotates relative to the tool, so that the flashlight remains in a relatively fixed position even when the tool is rotated. This allows the user to illuminate a work area and to rotate the tool without causing changes in the work area lighting.

Abstract: A light stake particularly useful for mounting ornamental electrical lighting is provided which includes an elongated shank and a head presenting small and large loops for respectively mounting smaller and larger light sockets. The head is angularly oriented relative to the shank and the large and small loops are cooperatively formed, preferably oriented in opposite directions. The light stake is most economically formed of a single piece of resilient wire, and may mount either a small socket, a large socket, or small and large sockets simultaneously.

Abstract: A variable-position decorative light mounting system for mounting the bulb and socket assemblies of a string of decorative lights at selective positions to achieve decorative effects. A base member provided in elongate strips or shorter rectangular sizes is configured to be secured to a supporting surface and has a flat surface with an outwardly projecting protuberance extending longitudinally along the flat surface with a contiguous reduced neck portion at the juncture of the protuberance with the flat surface. One or more bulb-holding clip members having a bottom portion with a cross sectional shape closely corresponding to the cross sectional shape of the protuberance are removably received and engaged on the protuberance by snap attachment. The bulb-holding clips have a contiguous upper portion with an aperture configured to removably receive and substantially encircle a portion of the bulb and socket assembly to releasably retain it on the clip.

Abstract: A lamp string wire clipper for joining two sets of wires of a lamp string together comprises a holder and a lamp seat. The holder is formed by a first portion and a second portion, the first portion includes three trenches, a pin and a convex portion, the second portion including three trenches, a pin hole and a convex portion. The lamp seat includes a through hole and a via hole. After assembling with a lamp, two electric wires connected with a lamp is inserted in the through hole, a set of trenches enclose the via hole so that the convex portions align with the hole opening, one end of one of the two electric wire passes through the through hole enclosing by the first trenches, a further electric wire passes through the through hole enclosed by the third trenches. The present invention can be used to join wires of a lamp string together to form a net-like configuration.

Abstract: A drop cord extension light having a light assembly with a grippable handle portion and a lamp and reflector swingably mounted thereto. A support swingably mounts the handle enabling the light and reflector to be rotated in mutually orthogonal directions relative to the axis of rotation of the support. A clamping/stand assembly has a pair of arms swingably mounted to opposite ends of the support. Torsion springs are also swingably mounted to the support and in a first position clamp the support arms together and in a second position release the support arms so that they may be swung open to assume an inverted, V-shaped configuration serving as a support stand for the lamp assembly. The lamp may be swung to a position between the arms of the support stand when not in use and an extension cord wrapped about the arms and the lamp assembly thereby storing the electric cord in a neat, compact manner and further encircling and protecting the lamp and reflector.

Abstract: In accord with one aspect of the invention, an apparatus for illuminating and magnifying an object in a sterile field for observation is provided. A holder is mounted at one end of a base assembly. A magnifying lens is mounted to the holder and defines a field of vision. A light is attached to the holder by an attaching means in a predetermined spatial relationship with the lens such that the light directs a beam of light into the field. A method is provided for illuminating and magnifying an object in a sterile field without contaminating the sterile field. The base assembly and the holder are sterilized. The base assembly is positioned in the sterile field. A sterile pack containing the light in a sterilized condition is opened and the light is moved into the sterile field. The light is inserted into the opening of the holder. The light is actuated and provides a light beam. The magnifying lens is removed from a sterile pack and moved into the sterile field.

Abstract: A mounting device for a lamp on a birdcage comprised of a lamp receptacle provided on both ends thereof at least with a telescopically movable rod having a lock. Wherein, the locks can be hung and fixed on any positions on the frame of the birdcage; and by providing a plurality of telescopically movable rods, a lamp for the birdcage can be provided at a location on the frame of the birdcage requiring a light source. This can allow adjustment of distances and orientations of the light rays projected from the lamp to birds, thus growth of the birds can be promoted.

Abstract: A decorative system for lamp shades and related articles relies upon a plurality of clips having spring tension between their parts. The clips are easily added or removed from a lamp shade or similar article without destroying or otherwise compromising the fabric of the lamp shade. Virtually every style, size and shape of lamp shade can be decorated by the present system.

Abstract: This invention relates to a fixture, which is an elastic ring,, for clipping a bulb holder of a light string and engaging with a hole on a frame being capable of various shapes. The fixtures are able to connect the light strings with the frame firmly and that can provide a desired lighting decoration which is designed as the frame when the bulbs are lightened.

The attachable clamping unit is provided with a ring member and a wire clamping hook structure. The wire clamping hook structure is formed on the outer side wall of the ring member for hooking electrical connecting wires adjacent thereto so as to form a decorative light web string. The clamping unit further comprises a light bulb socket joining structure formed on the outer side wall of the ring member for joining the light bulb socket adjacent thereto. The light bulb socket joining structure includes a C-shaped member and a cylindrical member.

Abstract: A stake system has a set of couplings and fiberglass rods and can be expanded to include bendable wire and light holders which fit onto the rods. The connector has a tubular body open at opposite ends and a transverse inner wall or collar between the opposite ends which with the inner wall of the body defines an open upper cavity and an open lower cavity. Each cavity is sized to receive one end of a rod. A pair of arms extend outwardly from opposite edges of one end of the tubular housing. Each arm has a slotted opening of sufficient diameter to permit a cord of a decorative light string to be inserted into and pass through the opening. Elbows and rod holders are provided to have one end which fits into the coupling upper cavity and an opposite end that has a cavity or mouth sized to receive of a rod. This stake system allows a person of average mechanical ability to create lighted lawn ornaments in an almost infinite variety of shapes and sizes.

Abstract: An aquarium light fixture includes a plural number of brackets for supporting an aquarium light assembly on an aquarium. Each bracket includes a base, a pair of arms in U-shaped and a slide block at the top of each arm. The slide block is slidably engageable with a longitudinal groove formed in each of two lateral side walls of the light assembly. The base further has a plural number of spaced wedge feet extending downward for clamping a top portion of the aquarium slidewall. Therefore two brackets mounting on two opposite sidewalls may support the aquarium light assembly like a bridge manner. The bracket may be adapted easily and flexibly to different size of aquariums.

In assembling, a lamp structure including a lamp inserted in the lamp seat is firstly inserting into the through hole of the case cover to be clipped by the edge of the hole and stand therewithin. Then a pair of wires are arranged to pass through two opposite gags. Next, the case cover is disposed within the base portion, while the pair of wires passed through the lamp seat will pass through another two opposite gaps. Finally, the hooks is tightly fit into the holes so that the tips on each top portion of the hook will hook the edge, the upper case and the base portion are assembled.

The attachable positioning member has an upper circular arc part for holding a lamp socket of a lamp string, and has a pair of flexible jaws at a lower part thereof for mounting movably on any position of the pattern frame.

Abstract: The invention relates to a retainer mechanism used for holding a net-type array of miniature light bulbs. The retainer mechanism includes a C-shaped loop adaptable for coupling with a miniature light bulb socket. The C-shaped loop is provided with a symmetrical hook portion on two sides of the C-shaped loop. The hook portion has a bulged outer end that, in cooperation with the inner end, forms an entirely embracing structure around electrical wires that pass through the hook portion. Thus the retainer mechanism according to the invention can effectively seize electrical wires. Furthermore, the retainer can be individually made and so it is applicable to current miniature light bulb sockets without any changes on the socket structure.

The clip is easily moved between latched and unlatched positions by means of thumb pressure.

Abstract: A tape rule with a lighting device for illuminating the scale on the tape can either be in the form of built-in type or an externally separated type. The built-in type lighting device includes a press strip, a battery as electric power source, and a light emitting diode (LED) as light source. All components parts are accommodated in a tape rule housing. By pushing a push button installed on the tape rule housing, the LED can be electrically connected to the battery and is turned on to emit light. The externally separated type lighting device includes a battery, an LED and a push button switch all accommodated in a box to form a light source package externally to the tape rule housing. By pressing the push button switch, the LED may make contact with the battery and become energized to emit light.

The mount includes a pair of opposable jaws pivotably affixed together about a pivot axis, the jaws being intended for affixation about spectacles (e.g., the nosebridge of spectacles), and a mounting yoke pivotably affixed to the clip. The mounting yoke may then pivotably bear an illuminator to allow the illuminator to move in three degrees of freedom.

Abstract: This invention relates to a connector, which is cylindrical and is made of plastic, for clipping a bulb holder of a light string and engaging within a lamp shield. A pair of elastic Y-type clippers are provided in the connector which can provide a secure connection with the bulb holder. A pair of connecting belts are also mounted and are able to be connected together to become a ring, that can be hung on a supporter and keeps the bulb holder with the bulb of the light string and the lamp shield firmly placed to display a great decoration.

Abstract: A wide area lamp for use in hazardous locations includes a metal halide lamp excited by a ballast. The lamp is mounted within an explosion-proof transparent globe and metal lamp guard secured to a metal vault. The vault is divided into two compartments. One compartment houses a ballast for the lamp. That compartment is filled with a potting compound to eliminate any arcing in the high voltage excitation circuit. The other compartment is enclosed, but accessible for making necessary electrical connectors to a power feed cord.

A string of wires are situated within the tube having a plurality of bulbs spacedly coupled therealong between a first end and a second end thereof. The first end of the string of at least one piece has a plug mounted thereon for releasably coupling with a power receptacle for receiving power therefrom and delivering the same to the bulbs. The string of each of the pieces has a second end with an interconnect plug coupled thereto for releasably coupling with that of another one of the pieces for providing electrical communication therebetween.

By an integrated design of the fixture wherein the back of the mounting hole (a space behind the ceiling panel or the like) is used as a housing space for a lighting circuit member, etc., the fixture can be made more compact with an improved design flexibility, and changes and movements of fixtures with respect to the mounting hole become possible.
