  • Patent number: 4898474
Abstract: A mixing device for liquids is described, wherein improved control of the mix is achieved by restructuring the components so that the character of the mix can be observed easily and corrections effected simultaneously. The disperser/mixer incorporates a moveable and rotatable support structure attached to a piston-in-cylinder arrangement. Hydraulic pressure, pneumatic pressure, or a combination thereof in the cylinder is controlled from a unit on the support structure, rather than the base, through a modified piston fixed to the support structure and containing a passageway for hydraulic fluid, rather than through the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4861255
Abstract: An apparatus for converting hard frozen confection to soft frozen confection, by single servings, flavoring and extruding it, is described. A super fresh product with outstanding flavor and consistency is produced. Fruit additions remain soft and flavorful, not frozen; cookie additions remain crisp, not soggy as in ordinary ice cream. Hundreds of flavor combinations become practical to make. The invention utilizes a piston and cylinder to pressurize the product for extrusion, and a special rotating wheel, on a retractable shaft thru the piston, that performs the mixing, cutting, milling, and sweeping functions. Aggregates are swept into a central extrusion orifice by this wheel. The commercial version of the apparatus requires 1/10 HP to operate, and weighs 62 pounds. The "household" version of this machine weighs 30 pounds.

  • Patent number: 4834549
Abstract: A mixing machine has a rotor which can be displaced along an axis. The rotor and its drive shaft are rotatably supported by a casing and a cylindrical shaft respectively. A motor for driving the rotor is mounted on a support connected to the end of the cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft can be displaced along the axis. At the lowermost position, holes in a plate of the casing communicate with a discharge port in the structure supporting the cylindrical shaft, whereby rotation of the rotor forces the tank contents out the discharge port.

  • Patent number: 4832501
Abstract: A motorized stirring device is mounted to a container for cooking on top of a stove. Three or more legs each attached at one end to the rim of the container support a motor attached to respective opposite ends. The legs support the motor at a height sufficiently above the plane in which the rim lies and are sufficiently narrow in width with respect to the circumference of the rim such that the container remains substantially uncovered by the legs and motor. Stirring attachments of self-adjusting length are releaseably connected to a shaft driven by the motor and directed toward the container. A middle section of each stirring attachment varies the total length of the stirring attachment by sliding in a telescoping manner.

  • Patent number: 4738542
Abstract: It is an egg-beater (or egg-whisk), particularly, an automatic egg-beater, which comprises a cylindrical handle on the upper half portion; the top of the cylindrical handle is mounted with a 16-side (or 16-polygonal) cap; the feature of the rotary cap not only can prevent from being slippery upon rotating it by hand, but also can prevent from rolling away upon placing it on a flat surface. The cap is connected to an inner cylinder which is sleeved inside the cylindrical handle. A motor being fixed on a base is mounted in the inner cylinder. The center rod of the agitator and the lower end of the motor spindle are connected together by means of a fan blade assembly. • Patent number: 4464259
Abstract: A hydraulically powered mixing aerator rides on an upright beam member for submersion in a body of water such as an equalization basin, oxidation ditch or sludge holding tank used in sewage treatment plants. The aerator employs a submersible, hydraulically powered mixing motor driving a propeller which is mounted on the beam member by a slidable bracket for height adjustment. The beam member is swingably supported to allow adjustment of the vertical plane angle. Because the beam member is also mounted for rotation, substantially any attitude or position of the mixer can be selected for creating an efficient flow pattern within the body of water. The speed at which the propeller is rotated, and therefore, the rate at which the water is circulated and aerated, is selectively adjustable. The hydraulically driven motor provides for a low speed and high torque rotation of the propeller without the use of a reduction gear.
