Abstract: An electronic timepiece comprising a fundamental frequency oscillator, a plurality of frequency divider stages, a timekeeping mechanism and display, includes circuitry for resetting and setting selective stages of the divider and thereby adding or subtracting timing pulses which are delivered to the timekeeping mechanism. A non-volatile memory stores data which terminates whether a divider stage is to be set or reset. Additionally, a plurality of circuit elements are selectively inserted to modify the circuit of the oscillator and to provide frequency adjustment. External contacts are provided for the inputting of data to memory and for measuring timing rate against an external standard.
Abstract: An electronic timepiece adapted to perform time correction in response to a train of time correction pulses transmitted from another electronic timepiece. The electronic timepiece comprises a detecting means to detect the train of time correction pulses; a writing-in signal generator circuit to generate writing-in signals in synchronism with a synchronizing signal contained in the train of time correction pulses, and a writing-in gate circuit means to perform writing-in of the train of time correction pulses into a timekeeping circuit of the timepiece as new current time data in response to the writing-in signals.
Abstract: A manually operated control mechanism for permitting a high frequency detection signal to be selectively produced is provided. A selection circuit is coupled to a divider circuit for receiving therefrom a low frequency timekeeping signal and a higher frequency detection signal. The selection circuit is normally disposed in a first mode and transmits the low frequency timekeeping signal applied thereto and is adapted to be disposed into a second mode to thereby transmit the higher frequency detection signal applied thereto. A manually operative member is adapted to be coordinately displaced between a first non-engaging position and a second position wherein the manually operative member engages said selection circuit to thereby dispose same in a second mode in order to effect the transmission thereby of the higher frequency detection signal.
Abstract: The electronic timepiece comprises circuits within an integrated circuit for effecting at least one auxiliary function associated with information supplied to their inputs and, programming circuits for programming and memorizing the said information. A system applied to the timepiece makes it possible to consult and reprogram manually the memory from outside the timepiece, as well as memorizing the state of this memory in the absence of feed voltage, for as long as necessary.
Abstract: Electric clock with an oscillator, particularly a quartz oscillator, a frequency divider connected to the quartz oscillator and a control stage connected following the frequency divider, via which control stage a stepping motor, which stepping motor is coupled with the dial train, is able to be applied with pulses of the same or alternating polarity. Each pulse is formed from a number of individual pulses, the pulse duty cycle of the individual pulses reducing toward the end of the first mentioned pulses.
Abstract: A system for correcting the accuracy of a reference signal in an electronic timepiece comprises an electronic timepiece including a reference signal frequency correction means for increasing or decreasing the reference signal frequency in a digital fashion with the use of a low frequency signal, and a quartz tester arrangement for measuring the accuracy of the reference signal frequency. The quartz tester arrangement indicates the displacement of the reference signal frequency from the standard signal frequency with the use of five lamps, each of which is selected to be enabled in accordance with the detected value of the displacement. The reference signal frequency correction means in the electronic timepiece includes five manually operable switches corresponding to said five lamps and functions to increase or decrease the reference signal frequency in a digital fashion in response to the closing of the switches corresponding to the enabled lamps.
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic timepiece in which an input terminal of the integrated circuit is used as an output terminal. During the manufacturing of the timepiece it is important to check the running of the frequency of the oscillator and the operation of at least part of the frequency divider chain. However, in a timepiece, the places available for obtaining measurements could be very limited, and the timepiece does not generally have an output terminal adapted to connect the signal to be measured to an external counter. The purpose of the invention is to utilize an already existing input terminal as an output terminal for permitting a precise and rapid checking of the frequency of the oscillator by measuring, on that terminal, a signal of intermediate frequency delivered by the frequency divider chain.
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic timepiece provided with an electroacoustic transducer for transmitting acoustic signals to indicate a time of alarm, and also for receiving information in the form of acoustic signals to control different functions of the timepiece.Coded acoustic information is delivered to the transducer, for example, by a special apparatus intended for that purpose, and serve to control different functions of the timepiece through a watch and transducer control logic network. The logic network is interconnected with the frequency divider chain, a display control circuit, and a transducer. The logic network includes a selector which connects the transducer either to the output of an alarm logic circuit for delivering alarm signals to the transducer at the time of alarm, or to a transducer detector for transmitting the electrical signals delivered by the transducer acting as a microphone to a watch logic circuit.
Abstract: A lighter with a watch having a watch module interiorly disposed. A lighter case incorporates therein a fuel tank and a watch module and a display of the watch module is visible through a window formed in the side of the lighter case. The lighter is provided with a set button and a select button so as to easily correct reading, the date and hour, and seconds. Further, an ignition operator is utilized to make reading set, thus preventing erroneous operation of selection of the watch module and reading set.
