Publication number: 20030235348Abstract: A bag 1 consists of two superposed bag sides 2, 3. With the purpose of achieving a particularly simple carrying handle in a bag with substantial reduction of material, a carrier section 4 is formed by a side edge 5. The carrier section 4 is connected with an adjacent bag side 3 by means of connecting zones 7 which delimit a pocket 8 having a downwardly facing opening 9. The pocket 9 thus constitutes a carrying handle for accommodating the user's fingers when carrying the bag. Due to distribution of tensile forces from areas 12 at the pocket opening, it becomes possible to achieve great strength even when using film material which is thin compared with traditional thickness.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2002Publication date: December 25, 2003Inventor: Henrik Pape

Publication number: 20020150312Abstract: A bridal accessory apparatus is comprised of an enclosure capable of holding therein important personal items such as cosmetics, facial tissues and mints in a secure fashion and further being capable of removable attachment to conventional bridal bouquet holders of the prior art. The enclosure is sized to remain hidden behind the head member of such bouquet holders when suspended from the neck region thereof using a variety of attachment means. Thusly positioned, the subject apparatus is relatively hidden from view by wedding guests and photographers and may be inconspicuously carried by members of the bridal party during the wedding ceremony, photograph sessions, and other critical time periods during the wedding day. Means for preventing axial displacement of the enclosure along the handle of the bouquet holder are also described. In another embodiment, the bouquet holder itself is modified to retain those items of importance to the bridal party.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2001Publication date: October 17, 2002Inventors: Donna Biancaniello, Christine Galante, Mary Harden

Patent number: 5135762Abstract: Twin compartment packets, e.g. tea bags, are formed with the compartments connected at the heads of the packet and optionally at the tails. The packets are produced from a pair of compartmented tubular webs that are brought together with the compartments in register, the webs then being interconnected at the compartment end seals and severed at those seals to form the separate packets. Apparatus for performing the process deposits doses of tea at spaced intervals onto the two separate webs before forming them into the tubular compartmented webs, brings the compartments of the two webs into register, interconnects the registered compartments, and separates the interconnected compartments into individual packets while the web advances continuously through the apparatus. The process is capable of high production rates because the webs are able to move through the successive stages at a uniform speed.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1991Date of Patent: August 4, 1992Assignee: Thomas J. Patent number: 4867575Abstract: A handle web (14) is heat sealed to the gusset end of a bag web (10). The bag is a bottom filled top gusset bag which assumes a carton shape when filled. The handle web (14) has a central portion which extends over the gusset (18). Substantially D-shaped hand openings (16, 18) are formed in the handle web (14). These openings (16, 18) have inwardly-directed arcuate sides (60, 62) and substantially flat outwardly-directed sides (64, 66). Rounded corners (68, 70, 72, 74) are formed where the arcuate sides (60, 62) meet the flat sides (64, 66). This construction results in a four-sided stretching of the handle web when under load, along smoothly curving arcuate paths, providing good stress distribution in the handle web material and the elimination of tear-inducing stress concentrations.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1988Date of Patent: September 19, 1989Assignee: Cello Bag Company, Inc.Inventor: Jerry W.
