Abstract: A mud visor formed by a substantially transparent sheet is attached to a goggle lens. The mud visor may be attached to the goggle lens using a substantially transparent adhesive or adhesive tape. Thus, the mud visor may provide clear and improved field of view for the user. Further, the mud visor may be configured to cover and guide a top portion of a roll-off film as the roll-off film is conveyed across the goggle lens. A top portion of the mud visor may be inserted into the lens groove of a goggle frame along with the goggle lens when the goggle lens is attached to the goggle frame. The mud visor also may stretch across the goggle lens and overlap with film canisters at both sides to provide a seamless coverage to prevent mud from entering behind the mud visor or the roll-off film.

Abstract: A flexible container includes a first panel formed from a flexible elastomeric material and a second panel formed from the flexible elastomeric material which is preferably a food grade silicone. The panels join together to form the flexible container and define an interior volume. A first closure and a second closure are provided along an opening defined at a portion of a perimeter of the flexible container, in which the first closure includes mating interlocking teeth and the second closure includes a mating rail and groove.

Abstract: A ventilation device including a flexible support having first and second edges delimiting a longitudinal opening and being provided with first and second closing devices arranged to cooperate with one another, the ventilation device including at least one elastic spacer member which includes a first tab extending along the first edge and a second tab extending along the second edge, the elastic spacer member being constrained when the closing devices are in the closed position, so that the first and second tabs tend to separate from one another, the length of at least the first tab being less than half the length of the first edge.

The pet maintenance device includes a device body that is selectively movable among a closed position, a partially open position, and a fully open position. The device body includes an outer body member and a foldable flap member that is connected to the outer body member. When the device body is in the closed position, the device body is substantially flat. When the device body is in the partially open position, the device body is configured to allow the user to grasp the foldable flap member to pick up pet waste. When the device body is in the fully open position, the device body is configured to be substantially bowl-shaped to be usable as a bowl for holding a consumable.

Abstract: An apparel item having an integrated duct system for an upper torso of a wearer is provided herein. The integrated duct may be formed by permanently and discontinuously affixing a portion of the panels used to form the apparel item along their edges. Inflow air ducts may be positioned on the front of the apparel item and outflow air ducts may be positioned on the back of the apparel item.

Abstract: A case for equipment includes, in an embodiment, at least: (a) one storage compartment having an extendable bag; and (b) a mat compartment configured to hold an extendable mat. A portion of the storage compartment is configured to be rolled-up. The case also has a zipper track and a stiffener. During roll-up, the stiffener is folded over the zipper track at least once for a more tight sealing of the zipper track.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a drawstring bag comprising a first panel and a second panel. The first panel and the second panel are joined along a first side, a bottom, and a second side. The first panel and the second panel thereby define an upper opening of the bag. The drawstring bag may further comprise a first pair of drawstrings disposed within a first hem along the upper opening of the bag in the first panel and a second pair of drawstrings disposed within a second hem along the upper opening of the bag in the second panel. The first pair of drawstrings may comprise a shorter elastic drawstring and a longer inelastic drawstring.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an adapter for use with ordinary lawn and leaf bags and a method for manufacture of such adapter. The adapter has a cavity that has four sides and four corners, and a lower portion consisting of four flaps. The use of a frame, side and/or corner fasteners create an adapter where the flaps lie inside the bag and the cavity remains outside the bag to create a large surface area for filling the bag and also prevents the mouth of the bag from closing due to wind or other forces.

Abstract: A self-supporting, rigid, and collapsible reusable bag made from flexible material and having a bottom, two first sidewalls, two second sidewalls, a top opening, and rigid insert. A rigid full-wall board is embedded in each of the two first sidewalls. A rigid insert comprised of at least one pair of sidewalls and bottom with substantially similar dimensions to the second sidewalls and bottom of the bag are placed in the interior and in frictional contact with the second sidewalls and bottom of the bag. The rigid insert sidewalls are held in place with securing devices located on the interior upper corners of the sidewalls of the bag. The bag can be collapsed by moving the rigid insert away from the second sidewalls and bottom to allow the second sidewalls to fold either inward or outward. A full-wall pocket is provided for each first sidewall to receive the full-wall board.

Abstract: The disclosure provides apparatus and methods of use pertaining to disposable bucket liners for storing solid or liquid content. One embodiment provides a flexible bag configured to conform to an interior of a common painting bucket and overlap an open top end of the bucket so as to provide stability for the bag and protection for the bucket. The bag includes a reusable closing member that allows the bag to be removed from the bucket and stored to facilitate repeated use before disposal. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

Abstract: A bag with reinforced walls has four walls formed into a rectangular prismatic shape with a closed bottom. Each wall has a flap opposite the bottom of a rectangular shape. A flap has less width than a wall. Upon each flap is a first strip and upon each wall is a second strip where the first and second strips mutually align. During use, each flap is folded over a frame and the strips mutually engage. Each wall merges with two adjacent walls upon a fold line. Where the flaps of adjacent walls adjoin, each wall and each flap has a reinforcing layer. The reinforcing layer extends partially along the flap and partially down the wall. The reinforcing layer has a generally narrow and elongated shape.

The opposed side panels, opposed front and rear panels, and floor panel are connected to one another to form a substantially rectangular enclosure having an opening in the top panel for access to the structure. The side panels include a peripheral edging containing a looped frame. A method of collapsing the structure is also disclosed.

Abstract: A foldable burner (10) is shown in the assembled and expanded condition. Foldable burner (10) comprises a raised platform (12) formed from aluminum foil portions (4b) and (4c) onto which fuel (14) can be placed. Tabs (16) are provided for gripping by a user to expand the burner from the collapsed condition to the expanded condition. Tabs (16) may also act as supports to strengthen the burner (10) and make the burner (10) more stable. Pluralities of apertures (8) enable air to enter the burner (10) under a chimney effect in order to provide oxygen to fuel (14) for burning. The upper periphery (18) of the burner (10) provides support for a cooking vessel (20) such as a saucepan. The burner (10) is easy to transport in its folded condition. Further, it may be designed as to offer a second use as transportation box.

Abstract: An apparatus for retaining the opening of a garbage bag is provided. A garbage bag retention ring can include a flexible and invertible base ring and a flexible and invertible retention ring fixed to the base ring. The base ring and the retention ring can each have about the same diameter. The base ring and the retention ring invert to expose an interior surface of the retention ring as an exterior surface. The garbage bag retention ring can further include at least one aperture formed between a junction of the base ring and the retention ring that is adapted to receive an edge of a circumferential portion of a garbage bag.

Abstract: The present invention is a lawn care and collection system that includes a disposable plastic air gill bag that receives leaves and yard debris preferably air blown or manually raked to be collected, contained and disposed of. It includes gill columns disposed on the air gill bag that provide controlled air flow and ventilation, tie string ports and vertical strength columns. A pair of air curtains is removably attached to a pair of single rod vertical supports via a sewn sleeve to one rod of double rod vertical supports that are removably and adjustably secured to an air curtain. The air gill bag is removably and adjustably connected to a second rod of the double rod vertical supports through the incorporated tie string ports on both sides of the air gill bag.

Abstract: This invention, “Safe and Easy” bagging tool, is a very simple tool, made of flexible metal or plastic, about seven inches long, shaped somewhat like a flat funnel, that will hold a baggie open, (a self sealing envelope shaped paper and plastic bag used to hold and store surgical instruments to be sterilized.) so it will be easier to put the instruments into the baggie, and at the same time, it is acting as barrier between the baggie and the operators hand that is holding said baggie, preventing the chance of an exposure, from an accidental puncture or cut to the operators hand, from a sharp or pointed, instrument, being loaded into the bag.

Abstract: A bag opening device that includes a strip having a distal end and a proximal end, the distal end insertible through a central slit disposed in a lock, said lock disposed on the proximal end, which lock has a locking tab to releasably engage with a plurality of slots disposed along the length of the strip, whereby the strip forms a rigid circumference securable to a particular bag opening by means of a clip and a plurality of securing ties, said bag thereby held open to more easily dispose of items therein.

At least one attaching feature is located on the outer surface of the bag adjacent the upper end and between the folded walls. The bag is releasably attached to a subsequent bag. The at least one attaching feature causes the bag to open as the bag is pulled from the subsequent bag. The once folded bag may be sealed at the bottom edges after folding to form a star-sealed bag bottom. The bags may be removably attached to each other at a perforation line and wound onto a compact roll for use with a bag dispenser. The bags may have an upper seam, a U-shaped cut and a pair of bag handles. The bags may be corona treated.

Abstract: A system for the collection and containment of vacuumed dust and debris, and more particularly to waste disposal bags for placement over a portion of a bagless vacuum cleaner, and into which the waste contents of the vacuum cleaner are emptied includes a bag body with a projecting portion and a relatively less projecting portion, an opening which is constricted about a portion of the bagless vacuum cleaner, and a light-tack adhesive strip facing the vacuum cleaner for temporarily affixing the bag thereto. The projecting portion serves as a flap that is folded over the opening to seal the bag once the bag is separated from the vacuum cleaner.

Abstract: The invention provides a new method for the safe storage and drying of a helmet and related accessories (spare helmet face shield, sunglasses, goggles, primary gloves, secondary gloves, chin curtain, breath deflector/guard, helmet screws, neck brace, knee pads, elbow pads, chest protector, keys, and remote control gate/garage openers) employed in activities in which a helmet is utilized. The device is suspended utilizing various length interchangeable hanging straps possessing varied attachment methods to accommodate various hanging locations. The side connected hanging straps attach at an angle to the front opening so that the front opening is directed at an upward facing angle off of the vertical plane and a center angle adjustment and interlocking strap is utilized to set a preferred angle and interlink multiple devices hung vertically one under another. The angled orientation enables the device to be bumped or swung without concern that the helmet or other items stored therein will fall out.

Abstract: A carrying device uses a folding structural frame covered by a shell. The frame is configured with two rigid members, which are joined together by two pivotable joints. A two-part base piece attaches to the frame and creates a structural bottom for the bag, with the base supporting articles placed inside of the bag. The frame and base create support that enables the bag to stand upright on a flat surface. The shell is made from a soft, flexible fabric material. The assembly is capable of folding to a substantially flat position, with the frame members moving relative to one another around the pivotable joints, and the base folding in half and becoming substantially co-planar with the frame. Abstract: A self-closing utility bag for holding small articles includes a pouch with an upper pouch portion, a lower pouch portion, a neck portion between the upper and lower pouch portions, a top opening that is maintained in a partially open orientation, and a self-closing mechanism. The self-closing mechanism includes a first resilient strip disposed parallel to a pouch top opening at a location either adjacent the neck portion in the upper pouch portion but spaced from the pouch top opening or at the neck portion, and a second resilient strip disposed opposite the first resilient strip where the first and second resilient strips maintain the pouch in a closed orientation but having a resilient spring action that allows intruding access to an inside of the lower portion while returning to the closed orientation when the intruding access is removed.

Abstract: Expandable bag assemblies and associated methods are disclosed herein. Certain aspects of the invention are directed toward an expandable bag assembly that includes a flexible bag with closed and open ends and collapsible sidewalls disposed between the ends. The assembly beneficially includes an integrated support structure provided with stiffeners and a mechanism for attachment to help hold a mouth of the bag in an open position while filling the bag. The assembly can be compressed for easy packaging and storage and be expanded into a self-supported, open position without memory folds. The assembly is also configured to retract during closure of the open end of the bag.

Abstract: A device for collecting objects is provided which includes a frame formed with a peripheral groove that surrounds an orifice. Also included is a retainer member that is dimensioned to be received into the peripheral groove of the frame. A bag having an opening which is surrounded by a rim portion is held with its rim in the peripheral groove of the frame, This is accomplished by a fixed engagement between the frame and the retainer member. With this engagement, objects can be introduced into the bag, through the orifice of the frame, for collection.

Abstract: The versatile support apparatus has an assembly including a plurality of substantially rigid longitudinal members. At least one substantially flexible transverse securing member may be attached transversally to a portion of each of the plurality of longitudinal members. Each longitudinal member of the plurality of longitudinal members may be repositioned about a longitudinal axis of the longitudinal member. A first-end coupling portion of the end of a first longitudinal side of the assembly may be selectively coupled to a second-end coupling portion of an opposite end of an opposite second longitudinal side of the assembly to form an interior cavity. The support apparatus is configured to support an object within the interior cavity. An additional intermediary coupling portion is provided to allow construction of support assemblies of multiple sizes.

Abstract: A bag for collecting body fluids, such as urine or vomit, wherein the bag in compact condition includes a front side, a back side, a bottom and at least two side edges, where a bag opening is formed opposite the bottom. The bag includes an expandable bead arranged in or close to the bag opening to keep the bag open. The bead can have several chambers that can be inflated or expanded by a resiliently deformable material arranged in the chambers. A removable absorbing material is arranged at the bottom of the bag so that a sample of the fluid can be taken before it is absorbed. At least a part of the sides of the bag can be transparent. Identification means can be provided to enable identification of the user whose liquid has been collected. The bag and the bead can be compressed and stored in compact condition.

Abstract: A method is provided for storing a cooked food in a flexible-walled container having an opening. The method includes placing a quantity of food in a flexible-walled container and submerging at least a portion of the container in a liquid with the opening being located so that liquid does not enter the opening. At least the lower portion of the container is maintained in the liquid and the food is maintained in the container below the surface of the liquid. The liquid collapses the container to seal the container. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained at a non-ambient temperature to heat or cool the food as it is stored. The method may also include storing the food adjacent a work surface, or at a remote main vat and transporting the rack to the work surface at which a serving that includes the food is prepared.

Abstract: An improved flexible package and method thereof are disclosed herein. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a package system comprises a flexible package having at least a front wall, a back wall, a top wall, a bottom wall, and a plurality of side walls; and a locking means for maintaining a portion of the flexible package in a predetermined position, the locking means cooperating with at least a portion of the flexible package and comprising at least one semi-rigid member; wherein one of the front wall, the back wall, the top wall, the bottom wall, or any of the plurality of side walls has a substantially negligible surface area.

Abstract: A biodegradable lawn waste collection system is provided. The system generally includes a waste receiver, a shaping insert, and a handle. The waste receiver may comprise a mesh structure having a filling end and a sealing end. The mesh structure may be formed from a biodegradable polymer composition. The shaping insert is configured for removable reception within the filling end of the waste receiver. The shaping insert provides the waste receiver with rigidity and stability when filling the waste receiver with lawn waste. After the waste receiver has been filled with lawn waste, the shaping inert is removed and the filling end is secured, such as by tying a knot. The full waste receiver is then releasably attached to the handle, which enables the full waste receiver to be easily carried or dragged to a desired destination.

Abstract: A package includes a bag in a sleeve. The sleeve includes biconcave panels that are opposite from one another and each have opposite concave edges, and biconvex panels that are opposite from one another and each have opposite convex edges. The concave and convex edges are respectively foldably connected to one another by arcuate fold lines. When the sleeve is erected, each of the biconvex panels may be in a concave configuration with respect to the interior of the sleeve.

The portable bag mouth holder may be provided in combination with one or a plurality of receptacles such that the bag mouth is maintained in an open position of contents in the bag.

Abstract: A storage bag has first and second side surfaces, and a sealable and an unsealable opening. A bottom end of the bag is movable between a flat configuration with the first and second side surfaces positioned adjacent to each other, and an expanded configuration with the first and second side surfaces being spaced from each other. Shape retaining strips are provided adjacent to the opening that can maintain the shape of the opening. The shape retaining strips are capable of maintaining the opening of the bag such that a distance between the first and second side surfaces at the top end of the bag is about equal to the distance between the first and second side surfaces at the bottom end of the bag.

Abstract: A utility bag having a closure arrangement coupled with opposing first and second panels of the utility bag. The first closure member coupled to the first panel at about an entrance of the utility bag. The first closure member includes a pair of parallel bulbous elements which form a longitudinal channel parallel to the entrance of the utility bag. A second closure member includes a third bulbous element having an interfacing surface complementary with an interfacing surface of the longitudinal channel to form an overlapping closure arrangement. Counterpart strips of hook/loop fasteners coupled to complementary interfacing surfaces associated with the first and second closure members are used to maintain the utility bag in a closed state. The bulbous elements may be formed from deformable materials disposed in sleeves which surround the entrance to the utility bag.

Abstract: A dual bin waste receptacle is disclosed having a bin assembly comprised of a pair of bins sharing a single divider between them. The bins are waterproof and leak proof. The tops of each respective bin has a continuous rim that a trash liner may be folded over. A complementary dual lid assembly is also provided that snaps onto the bin assembly thereby pinching both of the trash liners. The lid assembly is hinged in the middle, essentially over the divider that allows access to and trash liner removal from each side independently.

Abstract: A biodegradable lawn waste collection system is provided. The system generally includes a waste receiver, a shaping insert, and a handle. The waste receiver may comprise a mesh structure having a filling end and a sealing end. The mesh structure may be formed from a biodegradable polymer composition. The shaping insert is configured for removable reception within the filling end of the waste receiver. The shaping insert provides the waste receiver with rigidity and stability when filling the waste receiver with lawn waste. After the waste receiver has been filled with lawn waste, the shaping inert is removed and the filling end is secured, such as by tying a knot. The full waste receiver is then releasably attached to the handle, which enables the full waste receiver to be easily carried or dragged to a desired destination.

Abstract: A spill inhibitor for a container includes a spill inhibitor body configured to be releasably secured to or integral with a container. The spill inhibitor body defines an opening therethrough and has a plurality of compliant finger projections extending from the spill inhibitor body. The finger projections are arranged to impede movement of an item through the opening of the spill inhibitor body for controlling passage of the item through a mouth of the container.

Abstract: A pouch with a nozzle has a reliable dispensing opening. The pouch holds liquid contents. The pouch has a shell portion formed by sealing two plies of plastic together to form a pouch volume and a nozzle portion which communicates with the inside of the shell portion. The nozzle portion is formed by a series of embossments which form a reliably open passage for dispensing fluid. Three sets of embossments include a plane shape, a dot shape or a line shape.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pump-to-bottle bag which allows breast feeding mothers to transfer milk from a breast pump directly into the bag. The apparatus includes a cylindrical support which engages a pump receiving ring within its mouth so as to engage the free edges of the bag between the cylindrical support and the pump receiving ring. The pump receiving ring receives the breast pump so that the milk can be pumped directly into the bag.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a stay-open configuration or structure at the mouth of a polymeric or similar package or bag, wherein the configuration or structure has sufficient stiffness or tenacity to be able to maintain the mouth of the package or bag in an open position after being placed into this position. The semi-rigid material which implements the stay-open configuration can be incorporated into zipper components, such as, but not limited to, the flanges. The semi-rigid material may further be a separate element which is attached proximate to the zipper. The semi-rigid material typically goes through processes of extrusion and orientation.

Abstract: A free-standing yard refuse collection device including a portable frame body having parallel front and rear frames attached together with braces and a detachable reusable elongated collection bag into which refuse is directly raked or into which a separate leaf collection liner bag is disposed. At least one elongated resealable opening on a top side of the collection bag permits removal of the liner bag filled with yard refuse including leaves.

Abstract: Provided are pouches with rigid handles and/or internal supports and methods of making such pouches. In one aspect, a pouch with internal support includes a flexible pouch including a fitment coupled to a flexible pouch body and at least one inner support piece coupled to the fitment and extending into the inside of the pouch through the interior of the fitment. The fitment includes a fitment inner engagement feature and the at least one inner support piece includes an inner support engagement feature and at least one inner support extending from the inner support engagement feature. The fitment inner engagement feature and inner support engagement feature are interlocked to keep the at least one inner support piece from falling into or out of the flexible pouch body.
