Patent number: 9763532Abstract: A hot pot has a body with an open top and an outward rim around a periphery adjacent to a bottom of the body. A heating element support supports a heating element and extends across the bottom of the body to define a liquid-receiving volume for the hot pot. The hot pot has a base with a side wall and a bottom panel extending across the sidewall. The side wall and bottom panel define a hollow interior for the base. The side wall has an outward lip extending around the side wall opposite the bottom panel. The side wall lip abuts the body outwardly extending rim. The hot pot further has a security ring extending around the side wall lip and the body outward rim. The security ring is fixed to the hot pot in such a way as to destroy structural integrity of the hot pot upon its removal.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2015Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: GREENFIELD WORLD TRADE, INC.Inventor: Rong Liu

Patent number: 9272929Abstract: A system and method for separating human waste and converting urine into potable water for drinking and use in a hand washing station (165). In one aspect a commode (100), a three-way valve (110) at the outlet of the commode, a urine reactants tank (145), a storage container (160), a pump (170), and a spigot (175) are used. A user turns an actuator (111) on the valve in one direction to direct feces and feces-plus-urine into a reactants tank for feces, and in another direction to direct urine into the urine reactants tank. The urine reactants tank contains a plurality of baffles (210) separating the tank into chambers. A first chamber contains algae and microorganisms supplied by a seed (150). These organisms absorb nutrients from the urine as they grow into a mass (152). A last chamber contains only purified water that flows from the tank into the storage container from which it can be pumped to the spigot.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2014Date of Patent: March 1, 2016Inventors: Allen John Schuh, Jordan Timothy Porter, Jake Timothy Porter

Patent number: 4709426Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for producing a water or fluid splatter shield across an open top area of a toilet bowl, urinal or the like. This is accomplished by supplying a fluid such as water or air under pressure to a nozzle, an annular ring type housing or pipe that is disposed about the top portion of the toilet bowl or urinal. Outlet means is formed about the interior of the nozzle, the annular ring housing or pipe such that fluid is dispersed therefrom and form a continuous, relatively thin sheet of flowing fluid above the bottom of the toilet bowl or urinal. Consequently, urine being directed into the toilet bowl or urinal is prevented from splattering out by the presence of the fluid shield.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1984Date of Patent: December 1, 1987Inventor: Oliver W.
