Abstract: A repositionable toilet system for a bathroom or water closet of an RV, camper, boat, or other portable living quarter, allows for a dry bath (including a shower stall that can be somewhat isolated from the toilet) without permanently sacrificing otherwise useful floor space within the living quarter. The toilet is supported on a moveable platform that is repositionable between a stowed position in which the toilet is inside of the shower stall and a deployed/extended position in which the toilet is outside the shower stall. The moveable platform may be locked at the stowed or deployed position during travel or during use of the living quarter. The toilet may be fully self-contained, refillable, and emptyable, or the toilet may be plumbed into the water supply and waste collection system of the RV or camper, such as with flexible supply and drain lines.

An upper end and a lower end of the collapsible stool body include an upper seat and a lower seat respectively, the collapsible stool body includes a cavity, and an upper cover capable of opening and closing the cavity is mounted on the upper seat. A rear end of the upper seat is rotatably connected to a backup ring located between the upper seat and the upper cover. A rear end of the upper cover is rotatably connected to the rear end of the upper seat. The multifunctional collapsible stool designed this way can be utilized as a closestool or a garbage bin with the upper cover opened in addition to being utilized as a stool. Further, the multifunctional collapsible stool may also be utilized for storage. With these functions, the use requirements of more consumers can be satisfied.

A toilet seat is hingedly coupled to the series of panels and the toilet seat is positionable in a lowered position when the series of panels is positioned in the deployed position. Thus, the toilet seat can be sat upon by a user. A bag is positionable beneath the toilet seat when the series of panels is positioned in the deployed position to capture waste from the user.

Abstract: Pedestrian detection and counting for traffic intersection control analyzes characteristics of a field of view of a traffic detection zone to determine a location and size of a pedestrian area, and applies protocols for evaluating pixel content in the field of view to identify individual pedestrians. The location and size of a pedestrian area is determined based either on locations of vehicle and bicycle detection areas or on movement of various objects within the field of view. Automatic pedestrian speed calibration with a region of interest for pedestrian detection is accomplished using lane and other intersection markings in the field of view. Detection and counting further includes identifying a presence, volume, velocity and trajectory of pedestrians in the pedestrian area of the traffic detection zone.

Abstract: A portable, self-contained toilet is provided that does not require water, and produces its own energy without the need for an external source of power. The toilet includes and external housing for providing protection from environmental elements to components of the toilet and to human users of the toilet. A toilet bowl directs liquid and solid waste into a collection hopper. Once the hopper is full, a turntable or other rotary device is indexed to advance the waste filled hopper to an intermediary position. From there, the hopper is moved onto a burner, where the collected human waste is separated into liquid and solid waste. As a result of heating, the liquid waste turns to steam and is removed from the hopper, collected, filtered and the resulting distilled water stored. The remaining solid bio-fuel may be removed and disposed of or used as needed.

Abstract: A stabilizer system facilitates assembly of portable toilets at any location without need for attachment of the portable toilet to rigid stationary. Two square or rectangular tubular runners, permanently attached to the portable toilet, provide structural stability. The two runners have apertures of substantially equal size. A master stake having an aperture at its proximal end is pounded into the ground so that the aperture extends above ground. A control arm is inserted through apertures of the two runners and the master stake aperture, such that the master stake aperture is set between the two runner apertures. The fulcrum denial feature provided by the master stake and control arm enhance structural stability of the unit. The portable toilet is secured to the ground without front to back or side-to-side movement or tipping due to denial of leverage caused by the incorporation of the master stake and control arm.

The system is a closed design and operates substantially as a permanent toilet wherein waste odors are trapped and then vented to the atmosphere.

Abstract: An extended-duration foam may be used to entrap and suppress waste deposited into a latrine storage tank. The foam floats on a liquid or solid surface to form a protective barrier between the waste material stored in the latrine storage tank and the indoor atmosphere of the latrine. When liquid or solid material is deposited into the storage tank having the foam layer, the waste material passes through the foam and into the liquid and/or solid layer of waste material beneath the foam. The foam “self repairs” after the material passes therethrough, maintaining an effective visual and olfactory barrier between the waste material and the latrine atmosphere.

The privacy curtain is a tubular cape of flexible material, without rigid frame members, having open top and bottom ends. The open bottom end is sized to fit around the base of a portable toilet, and the open top end is expandable via a partial vertical zipper extending from the cape's top front edge partway down the front of the cap, so that a person can easily step into the cape after the cape has been pre-positioned around a toilet and then zip the cape back up to use the toilet. The open top end is also provided with shoulder straps for hands-free use while standing and sitting.

The rotatable seat is located in-line vertically with a waste bin and cover that comprise the commode. An actuation means is provided, which, in response to a command by the user, simultaneously opens the waste bin cover, rotates the seat, and elevates the waste bin to permit use of the device. A means of providing squirting action of a cleaning solution to cleanse the user after elimination, as well as a drying system, may also be incorporated into the device.

An excrement drawer is provided below the opening in the toilet bowl and a conduit provides water from the tank for cleaning a patient and/or the bowl. The cabinet also includes water level indicators for indicating the amount of water in the tank and in the excrement drawer. The drawer also includes an opening for receiving waste and a spring biased element for closing the opening when the drawer is removed from the cabinet.

Abstract: A modular portable cabana-type restroom includes a roof, base platform, foot portions, side wall panels, a back wall panel, four corner portions and a door. The side wall panels and back wall panel are provided with vertically-disposed hooks for interlocking with complementary slots along the edges of the corner portions. The roof is provided with clips for engaging the corner portions. This permits convenient interlocking removable assembly of the wall panels, corner portions and roof without the use of mechanical fasteners, such as rivets, screws or nuts and bolts. Recesses in the foot portions accept the insertion of the corner portions and corners of the base portion, which are then secured together through formed apertures using a minimum number of mechanical fasteners. This provides for easy assembly and disassembly of the restroom for transport, repair and storage.

The toilet assembly and changing table assembly are adjustable between a first position for use as a changing table, and a second position for use as a toileting station. A method of using a toilet liner with a portable toilet apparatus is also disclosed.

In the portable lavatory (10), the capacities of both a fresh water tank (20) and a foul water tank (30) of a tank unit (12) are altered in inverse proportion to each other. The tank unit (12), integrated with a lower end of a lavatory facility unit (11), has a width and length shorter than those of the lavatory facility unit, thus being stepped inward from the lower end of the lavatory facility unit. The fresh water tank (20) and the foul water tank (30) are assembled with each other at flanged open ends thereof into a single structure, with a variable tank (40) provided in a junction part between the two tanks.

Abstract: A training potty for toilet training a child having a base that sits on a ground surface having a cutout seat and a cavity. A substantially circular bowl is housed within the cavity of the base and easily removable from the base. The bowl has an outwardly extending lip and a top rim. An insertable disposable liner has an opening and an elastic band around the opening for holding the disposable liner circumventially around the top rim of the bowl until such time that the training potty has been used. The liner has a drawstring closure and a hook and loop fastener for easily removing and disposing of the liner. An interior surface of the liner has a specially designed moisture sensor panel for changing colors and patterns upon contact with liquid or solid waste.
