Abstract: A system of visual and non-visual marks for pipes and couplings which allows users to group the pipes and couplings by type, size, end configurations and composition with a series of symbols, including colors, shapes, swirls, patterns. The symbols are applied to the pipes and couplings by printing, etching, painting, applying stickers, and or molding. The non-visual mark utilize the magnetic and radio reflective nature of the marks to allow remote identification of the plumbing pipes and couplings after being buried.

Abstract: Discussed herein are techniques and implementations for deployment of machine-readable indicia on objects. The deployment can be achieved with a mechanical device to affix the machine-readable indicia to an object. The machine-readable indicia can be applied to the mechanical device, which then can be affixed to the object. The mechanical device can be portable and easily affixed to the object with snap-coupling fasteners. Structures on the mechanical device can help to locate and/or maintain the device on the object.

Abstract: A transport equipment label bracket that can be used during tracking and/or locating of delivery item(s) (e.g. mail) positioned on delivery-item transport equipment such as a delivery-item transport cart. The bracket can have positioned thereon a permanent first identifier and a permanent second identifier, wherein the second identifier includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip. The bracket can further include a placard mount for temporarily positioning a placard such as a delivery-item transport equipment label. The placard and either/both of the first identifier and the second identifier can be scanned to associate or conjoin the placard with the RFID chip as represented in a computerized delivery-item-tracking system. Thereafter, the RFID chip can be scanned to identify a location of the placard and thus the location of the delivery-item transport cart.

Abstract: A caddy is adapted to clamp to a cylindrical shopping cart handle. Affixed to an upper portion of the clamp is an enclosure composed of a durable, transparent material configured to comprise two (2) planar panels with an intervening space. Openings at either side of the enclosure permit the insertion of appropriately sized pieces of paper, or paper stock, bearing certain indicia. Attached at an upper surface of the enclosure is a turntable adapted to accommodate a pedestal suitable for the placement of a portable electronic device device, such as a mobile telephone. The pedestal is further provided with additional, adjustable brackets capable of restraining mobile electronic devices of various sizes.

A method of advertising at a ski area includes integrating advertising displays with ski-lift chairs of the ski area. Each of the advertising displays has one or more places to secure printed media. The method also includes inserting printed media within each of the advertising displays. Another method of advertising at a ski area includes integrating printed media within viewable regions of at least one media display system, and integrating the media display system with a ski-lift chair of the ski area.

Abstract: A flexible plastic strip to cover a handle such as, for example, that common to a conventional shopping cart to prevent a shopper's hands from coming into direct contact with the handle. According to a preferred embodiment, a pair of strip holders are detachably connected in surrounding engagement to the handle. The strip holders are spaced from one another and slidable along the handle. Each of the pair of strip holders has a hook projecting therefrom. The ends of the flexible strip are attached to the pair of strip holders at respective ones of the hooks thereof. The flexible strip can be removed from the strip holders and discarded in order to avoid the spread of germs, viruses and other disease-causing micro-organisms which lie on the handle.

A cover frame adapted to releasably engage the base panel around the periphery thereof is formed having a substantially rectangular outer configuration and a rectangular aperture through the thickness thereof to provide a viewing window for the advertisement displayed through the frame.

A processor is employed for generating a request or query related to the received product information; and both the product information and additional query information is then displayed to the customer.
