  • Patent number: 5335435
Abstract: A media holder (20) is disclosed particularly suited for search and display of a selected media. The holder has a plurality of frames (22) each configured to hold media (e.g. business cards, compact discs, computer diskettes) and pivotally mounted over a slidable striking member (44). • Patent number: 4783918
Abstract: A system for the vertical display of information provided on a plurality of cards or similar display members includes an extended heads on each display member. The extended heads are supported on each side by a pair of parallel slideways. Each slideway includes a plurality of vertical supports spaced therealong and paired with a support on the other slideway. Thus, a respective pair of supports serves to support an extended head of a display member and a series of display members so supported is created. A cascading mechanism is also provided for sequentially moving each display member in a cascade to a lower pair of supports when a new display member is introduced into the pair of slideways.

  • Patent number: 4769935
Abstract: A wire hanger for removably affixing the pocket card of a visible index system to a card-supporting frame, tray, or other holder. The hanger has a rectilinear main body portion and integral loops at the opposite ends of that portion. Each loop has two sides paralleling the main body portion of the hanger and an integral return bend between those sides at that end of the loop opposite the main body portion of the hanger. One side of the loop has a pocket card hinge-receiving extension spaced from and paralleling the main body portion of the hanger, and the two sides of the loop are symmetrically disposed relative to the axial centerline of the loop's main body portion. The foregoing construction substantially eliminates the possibility of the pocket card hanger being improperly affixed to the pocket card supporting structure in a manner which would result in the lower part of the pocket card being obscured or exposed to an unwanted extent.

  • Patent number: 4418913
Abstract: The rack permits a single player to play a large number of bingo cards in every game, and without preempting more than his fair share of table space. The rack has a multiplicity of long horizontal rods extending from the player's left to right and supported by a pair of end frames, for instance 4 or 5 such rods, parallel to each other. The rod nearest the player is closest to the table, and is spaced above it a little more than the thickness of two bingo cards. This same spacing is used between rods, i.e., a staircase spacing with the same spacing of the second rod both above and behind the first rod, etc. The bingo cards are mounted in back-to-back pairs in special clips mounted on the rods and pivotal between a vertical position and a horizontal position, reading one card of a pair in each position. Each clip has portions defining a pocket which has an open top and one open side, so that a marginal portion of the pair of bingo cards is received in the pocket.

  • Patent number: 4231176
Abstract: The invention relates to a visible index, and to a novel carrier for the records of a visible index, in which the records are hooked over retaining flanges which extend inwardly of the V-shaped channel portions of carriers which also comprise spacer portion which extend above the apices of the channel portions and locate respectively in the channel portion of the carrier directly thereabove, to provide an overlapping array of the records hooked on the carriers and also further to inhibit detachment of a record hooked on a retaining flange, as well as optionally also further records attached to the carriers, by the internesting of adjacent carriers.

  • Patent number: 4176849
Abstract: A child's seat comprising a plastic seat panel and a plastic leg opening cover both of which are pivotally mounted at their rear edges on a transverse support wire, that itself is slidably mounted upon the cart rear frame. The forward edge of the seat panel has a plurality of curved flanges that engage a support wire mounted on the seat back frame. Interaction between the flanges, the wire, and the edges of a recess in the seat back frame adjacent to the wire holds the components interlocked, while allowing the pivot movement of the seat panel with respect to the seat back frame. A reinforced plastic seat back frame has two leg portions each terminating at its bottom in an S-shaped portion that fits into an opening in the cart rear panel to support the seat back frame and allow pivotal movement thereof. The plastic seat back frame is reinforced by a pattern of integrally molded ribs. Additional reinforcement is obtained by utilizing metal inserts placed in channels between adjacent ribs.
