  • Patent number: 5154523
Abstract: A brush having a bundle of bristles connected to a handle and being provided with a chamber to be filled with a liquid material is disclosed. The chamber includes pressurizing means for maintaining the liquid material under continuous pressure and closure means for preventing the liquid material from flowing from the chamber to the bristles. The chamber is also integrally connected with the brush and is connected to the bundle of bristles in a liquid-conductive relationship by means of a tubular conduit. The bundle of bristles is set into a separate head mounted for sliding movement on the handle, thereby rendering the conduit and bundle axially slidable relative to each other between a first use position and a second filling position.

  • Patent number: 5131777
Abstract: A container of a liquid applicator containing a liquid, and an applicator member is held on the container for applying the liquid to an objective part. The applicator member is mounted for movement into and out of the container and a biasing member is provided to bias the applicator member outwardly of the container. When the applicator member is pressed into the container against the force of the biasing member, the liquid is caused to exude to the surface of the applicator member outside the container. Therefore, it is possible to provide a liquid applicator which has a container of any desired volume and made of a rigid and hard material and which allows only the liquid to exude to the outer surface of the container and be spread properly and effectively over an objective part.

  • Patent number: 5123766
Abstract: A dispensing pen includes a cylindrical body formed with a conically tapered forward end, with the forward end including a spherical or brush applicator. The cylindrical body includes an end cap threadedly mounted thereon, with the end cap housing a piston, with the piston biased within the cylindrical body to effect pressurizing of a fluid reservoir contained within the cylindrical body to direct such fluid through the applicator brush or spherical member of the applicator. The pressurizing piston mounted within the end cap includes a biasing means and a regulator to maintain pressurizing of the fluid, wherein alternatively, the piston includes a piston body that is externally threaded mounted within an internally threaded interior wall of the end cap to effect pressurizing of the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 5073058
Abstract: An implement for applying a liquid includes a container for holding liquid, the container having a front end which is open and a front tube mounted on the front end of the container. The front tube has a forward outlet opening. A hollow accommodating member has an interior chamber, the accommodating member having a rear opening communicating the interior chamber with the container and a forward opening communicating the interior chamber with the front tube. A liquid feed member is movably disposed in the interior chamber between a closed position in which the liquid feed member engages the forward opening to block off communication between the interior chamber and the front tube and an open position in which the liquid feed member is disengaged from the forward opening. An end valve is axially movable in the front tube between a closed position and an open position and an open position. An applicator is mounted on the end valve.

  • Patent number: 4597683
Abstract: Apparatus for applying cosmetic preparations in liquid or paste form comprising a cylindrical casing provided with a slidable piston which divides the casing into first and second chambers which are sealed relative to one another. The first chamber contains a mixing member which by an operating stem guided sealingly to the outside through the piston and the second chamber, can be reciprocated inside the first chamber. This first chamber may be filled with a cosmetic preparation to be emptied by controllable amounts by an applicator detachably fastened to the casing. A tubular casing extension is inserted into the free end of the second chamber and contains a compression spring for pre-stressing the piston. The casing extension is telescopically movable into and out of the second chamber. At the free end of the casing extension a locking mechanism is provided by which the casing extension, when fully inserted into the casing, can be detachably locked to the casing.
