An actuator mechanically is coupled to the pump mechanism to drive the pump mechanism. A controller is coupled to the pressure sensor, wherein the controller is configured with a preselected set of fluid pressure set points and one or more preselected sets of fluid flow rates and wherein the controller is further configured to control the actuator to increase a fluid flow rate to a first flow rate in the preselected set of fluid flow rates when the fluid pressure at the outlet side falls to a lower one of corresponding fluid pressure set point in the preselected set of fluid pressure set points.

The toothbrush system includes a shaft with a main body with a first end and a second end, and a bristle array and a suction port arranged at the second end. The bristle array and the suction port both extend away from the shaft so that an opening of the suction port is proximal to a distal end of the bristle array. The shaft also includes a stem arranged at the first end. The stem includes a passageway that extends through the main body to provide a fluid connection to the suction port, and is configured to be coupled to the external suction source. Also, the handle is removably coupled to the shaft and includes a drive system operably coupled to the bristle array to actuate motion of the bristle array.

Abstract: A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle and a fluid delivery system for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. Part of the fluid delivery system is moveable relative to the handle as the appliance is moved along the teeth of the user. A sensor provides an output which varies with movement of that part of the fluid delivery system relative to the handle. A control circuit actuates the delivery of working fluid to the teeth of the user depending on the output from the sensor.

Abstract: An apparatus for delivering a glutinous substance from a cartridge to a brush is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a sleeve and a pressure-cap assembly. The pressure-cap assembly comprises a pressure cap, proximate an inlet of the sleeve. The pressure cap comprises a pressure input, selectively operable to apply pressure to the glutinous substance in the cartridge when the cartridge is received within the sleeve, the pressure cap is in the closed position, and a leading end of the cartridge is in sealed engagement with a valve. The apparatus further comprises a brush-arm assembly, configured to retain the brush and capable of rotating the brush. The valve is selectively operable to enable the glutinous substance to flow from the cartridge to the brush.

Abstract: An automobile washing wand includes a starfish shaped head having fingers reaching into tight corners of automobile exteriors. The head includes ports for water and soap to escape and bristles for scrubbing, and is attached to a stalk by a ball joint. A small cross-section water line runs through the stalk to supply water to the head while minimizing weight added to the wand by the presence of water in the wand. A liquid soap bottle is attached near a handle at the base of the stalk, and a selector has an OFF position, a RINSE position, and a WASH position.

The brush may include a brush body and a debris removal component attached to the brush body. The fingers have a height taller than a diameter, and a spacing on the same order of the diameter.

Abstract: A car wash water brush handle includes a wobble tube and a piston tube. The wobble tube includes an entrance hose fitting, a reinforcing hose, a flexible boot and an exit hose fitting. The piston tube includes a tube body, a piston, a piston rod, a compression spring, an exit reinforcing hose and an exit hose fitting. When water flows through the tube body, the piston rod is forced into entrance hose fitting through pressure against the piston. The piston rod prevents the flexible portion of the flexible boot from being damaged during operation. The water flows through the tube body at a pressure of 90 psi. A brush head is threaded onto the exit hose fitting. A water hose is threaded into one end of a hand grip tube and the entrance hose fitting is threaded into the other end of the hand grip tube.

The brush assembly includes a main body having a handle and a brush stock and a bristle bundle secured in the brush stock. A plurality of fluid distribution members extend into the bristle assembly and are multidirectionally flexible such that the distribution members flex substantially freely with the flex of the bristles in any direction. The fluid distribution members prevent paint flow when in an unflexed state and allow flow onto the bristles only when flexed.

A direction of a flow of the fountain at the other of the first opening and the second opening has an upward component so that a user, i.e., holder of the toothbrush, can use the fountain for oral rinsing.

Abstract: An applicator system comprises a reservoir, a conduit extending from a first end at the reservoir to an opposite terminal end, an applicator connected with the conduit, a flow control engaging the conduit, and a holder releasably coupling with the applicator. The applicator has a liquid impermeable back, an opposite porous face, and a plenum. The plenum, situated between the back and face, releasably couples with the conduit terminal end and distributes fluid to the face. The face and plenum may be replaceable and disposable. The holder is a rigid member that releasably couples with the applicator, provides a structural foundation to the applicator, and includes a handle for manipulation by a user. An extension can be employed to connect the flow control to the handle, effectively extending the length of the handle. A helical coil portion of the conduit can be conveniently wrapped around the extension to prevent kinking.

Abstract: In summary, this invention is a rain gutter debris removal system, including a rain gutter and a debris removal device operable within the gutter. The gutter includes a back wall and a bottom channel member. The debris removal device includes an upright scavenging blade mounted within and lengthwise of the channel for movement between a home position retracted against the back wall, and an extended forward position across the channel. An actuator moves the scavenging blade between home and extended positions, whereby to expel debris from the channel. The scavenging blade includes a wiper blade along its bottom for wiping engagement with the gutter channel. The actuator includes a reciprocable expansible chamber device positioned between the back wall and the scavenging blade, and connected to the back wall for pivotal movement up and down, the wiper blade thereby maintaining wiping engagement with the gutter channel as the blade traverses the channel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hands-free shower scrubber and soap dispensing system. The scrubber includes an upper brush and one or more central brushes attached to a frame. The frame can be attached with suction cups to the shower wall. A pumping apparatus pumps liquid from a holding tank through a connection to the upper brush and/or the one or more central brushes. The pumping apparatus can be a pneumatic pump positioned on the floor or attached to the shower wall. The pumping apparatus can be activated by a foot, knee, hip, shoulder or other body part at a similar height to the location of the pneumatic pump.

Abstract: A gas pressurized painting system comprises a pressurized paint canister and a powered paint brush or powered paint roller connectable to the pressurized paint canister. Abstract: A rain gutter includes a back wall, bottom member, and front wall, forming an elongated channel. An upright scavenger blade mounted in and along the channel is movable between a retracted position and a forward position to push the front wall open and dump the gutter contents. The scavenger blade includes a flexible wiper along its bottom to slide across the channel bottom. The system is actuated by a piston which reciprocates the scavenger blade across the channel, between retracted and extended positions. The actuator system also includes a base plate parallel to the back wall, a channel span parallel to the base plate, and parallel hinge plates connecting the base plate and channel span, all together forming a four-bar linkage. An actuator arm is pivotally connected at one end to the base plate, and slidably connected at its other end to the channel span.
