Screw Threaded Patents (Class 402/53)
  • Patent number: 9795236
Abstract: A folding tray includes a hygienic surface within the internal portion that is shielded from contamination in a folded configuration. The folding tray includes two symmetrical halves joined by a spine that allows the folding tray to close. The folding tray can include one or more inserted surfaces overlapping at least a portion of the two symmetrical halves on one side of the folding tray. The inserted surfaces can be folded into the folding tray in a folded state. The inserted surfaces can be removable or include a plurality of stacked sheets that are individually removable. The folding tray can be used to isolate materials on the tray from contaminants under the tray, or protect a material beneath the tray from contaminants on the tray.

  • Patent number: 5224788
Abstract: A Direct Access Modular Binder containing one or more posts. Each post is comprised of two or more interconnected independent locking modules. These locking modules can easily be inserted or removed to change the length of the post to efficiently accommodate varying amounts of paper. The modules additionally function to permit direct access for insertion/removal of pages or modules anywhere along the post. The modules in the post may contain a telescoping feature. The module(s) containing a telescoping feature are optimally positioned at the end(s) of the post and fixedly attached to the post holding strips. The strips, which hold the posts' ends, may be hingedly attached to the front and back covers. The telescoping feature permits the binder to be automatically compacted (when not in use), for efficient storage, and temporarily expanded (when in use), to provide space for the user to insert/remove paper or modules. The modules which make up the post are easily locked and unlocked.

  • Patent number: 4991990
Abstract: A photo album held together by attachment assemblies, each including (1) a barrel part having an internally threaded tubular portion and a plate at one end that will not pass through the openings in the pages and attachment portions of covers for the album; and (2) a screw part comprising an externally threaded portion adapted to threadably engage the tubular portion, and a head at one end that also will not pass through the openings in the pages and the attachment portions. The plates have projections received in sockets in the attachment portion of the rear cover to restrict rotation of the barrel parts; and the heads on the screw parts have ridges along their peripheries and large diameters that afford easy manual engagement with them to engage or disengage the screw parts with respect to the barrel parts.

  • Patent number: 4930927
Abstract: A tamper-proof binder has a C-shaped rectangular spine into which a plurality of clear plastic envelopes carrying photographs or the like are secured. The envelopes are permanently sealed on three side edges and open only on one side which is secured in the spine to prevent the photos from being removed. The spine has an upper T-shaped longitudinal slot on the underside of the top wall and a lower longitudinal slot on the top side of the bottom wall and a counterbored hole extends through the bottom wall into the lower slot. The envelopes have holes spaced along the open side edge which receive a headed fastener for each hole. The heads of the fasteners are slidably received in the T-shaped slot of the spine and the shafts of the end fasteners are received in the lower slot at the bottom of the spine. A center fastener is a permanent two-part fastener with a head at both ends and the shaft portions engage each other to prevent the fastener from being pulled apart after being pressed together.
