    Abstract: A handle assembly for a pressurized dispensing container consists of a handle 12 and a collar 11. The collar is fitted with legs 28, provided with bulbous portions 29 which clip resiliently into a groove 20 in the valve cup. The handle is provided with lugs 41 which engage with the collar. The handle is inserted into the collar and twisted to engage the lugs 41 with the collar to retain the handle. The lugs also press against legs 28 to prevent the collar becoming detached from the cam 13. A rachet surface 30 is provided around the top of the collar which is engaged by a tab on the handle as the handle is twisted to lock it into the collar. The rachet surface thus prevents the handle from being disengaged by being twisted in a direction opposite to that required for engaging the lugs.

    Abstract: A parking brake foot pedal is pivoted to a bracket, and is formed with a ratchet plate portion. A pawl is engaged with the ratchet so as to hold the parking brake in the applied condition. A release lever is pivoted to the bracket so that it displaces the pawl away from the ratchet when it is pulled by a release structure. A resin bush is attached to the release lever at a position remote from its pivoting point. The bush has a hole through it which is narrowest at its middle portion and opens out towards its ends. A release cable passes through this hole in the bush, and on its end there is fixed a stop member larger than the internal diameter of the hole in the bush. Thereby, the end of the release cable is flexibly coupled to the release lever, so as not to be subject to severe bending stress when the release cable is pulled and rotates the release lever so as to displace the pawl away from the ratchet and release the application of the parking brake.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a new and improved rod retainer for connecting an elongated actuating rod terminating in a short right angle end portion to an apertured lever. The retainer includes a unique hinged rod receiving member which is initially disposed in an opened position for partially receiving the rod. After receiving the rod, the hinged member automatically pivots towards a cooperating wall upon further displacement of the rod toward the retainer until the hinged member automatically lockingly engages the cooperating wall. In the locked position, the rod is securely held between the hinged member and the cooperating wall.

    Abstract: A carburetor improvement for connecting a link (R) to a movable carburetor part (L3) so the connection is tamper resistant. A swivel (3) has a longitudinal bore (5) extending substantially therethrough and a transverse bore (7) through which the link extends. A clevis (13) comprises a pin (15) insertable through an opening (O) in the movable part. The pin has a head (17) and the diameter of the pin is equal to the diameter of the longitudinal bore in the swivel for the pin to be inserted into the bore. The end of the pin inserted thereinto has a generally U-shaped opening (19) at its end, the length of the opening being greater than the diameter of the link and the width of the opening being equal thereto. The inner end of the longitudinal bore has a decreasing diameter whereby the sidewalls (21) of the U-shaped portion of the pin are pinched together and press against the body of the link to capture the link in the swivel with sufficient force to prevent adjustment of the link.

    Abstract: A housing is provided for mounting a bearing adjacent a wall to support a rotatable shaft that projects perpendicularly through the wall. The housing has a thin-stock stamping that forms on end cap having an axially extending hub and a mounting flange projecting radially outward at one end of the hub. An axial bore is provided within the end cup for receiving a first longitudinal portion of a bearing. A thick plate has an opening therein for receiving a second longitudinal portion of the bearing that projects axially outward from the hub end adjacent the mounting flange. One side of the plate is mounted flush with the wall, and an opposite side of the plate is mounted flush with the mounting flange of the thin-stock stamping. The plate has a surface adjacent the bearing opening that radially supports the second longitudinal portion of the bearing. This plate extends radially outward from the bearing opening.

A rigid retaining arm overlying said base in space relation to said aperture and resilient finger means forming a throat with said arm to permit insertion of the actuating rod into retained position under said arm when its right angled end is inserted through the aperture and into the bore of the retaining means.
