  • Publication number: 20140348609
Abstract: A fastening assembly, comprising a nut and a washer, where the nut is provided with a threaded hole and a nut head, the nut head forms plural consecutive ramps. The threaded hole forms a barrier surface. The washer has a through hole and an diameter-enlarged hole, and the through hole and the diameter-enlarged hole form a shoulder at their junction. The washer is provided with consecutive ramps with the same number as that of the continuous ramps of the nut. The barrier surface of the nut confines the shoulder of the washer that the washer is not allowed to separate from the nut. The nut and washer can be relatively free to rotate, so that the two will not result in deadlocked state prior to their actual usage, to ensure that the anti-theft and locking features achieve the goal of preventing the illegal theft and destruction.

  • Patent number: 8136428
Abstract: Non-reversing fasteners include a bolt having a groove defined along the thread, and a nut having a biased tooth disposed in an internal pocket. When the nut is threaded onto the bolt, the biased tooth does not engage the groove. When the nut is reversed off the bolt, the biased tooth stays in an extended position and engages the groove, preventing it from reversing. A tool positions on the nut and moves the biased tooth from the extended position to a retracted position, allowing the nut to reverse off the bolt. The tool can be another nut having a magnet for moving the tooth from the extended to the retracted position. A reverse arrangement can have a bolt with a biased tooth and a nut having a groove. A tool in the form of a magnetized rod can fit into an axial bore in the bolt to move the tooth.

Abstract: A novel spindle nut assembly is presented comprising the following three components: a washer, a locking snap ring, and a nut. Each of these three components function together, and in conjunction with the spindle of a vehicle axle, to affix a wheel hub assembly onto the spindle of an axle. The three components comprising the spindle nut assembly incorporate design features allowing the components to interlock and resist loss of preload compression on the hub assembly.

Abstract: A resilient flat washer has a ring and a keyed wing. The ring has an inner annular edge, an outer annular edge and at least one inner abrasion flange. The at least one inner abrasion flange is formed longitudinally on the inner annular flange. The keyed wing is formed transversely on the outer annular edge. A hinge has a stationary leaf, multiple resilient flat washers and a pintle. The resilient flat washers are mounted in a sleeve of the stationary leaf. The pintle is mounted rotatably in the rings and has a pivoting rod. The pivoting rod abuts the at least one inner abrasion flange, so the contact area between each resilient flat washer and the pivoting rod are increased. Therefore, the friction provided by the resilient flat washers is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7222829
Abstract: For mounting an antenna device on a first side of a panel body, a mount screw is protruded from the antenna device and formed with a slit extending from a distal end face thereof in an axial direction thereof. A washer has a first engagement member extended from a main body. The washer is adapted to be fitted with the mount screw such that the first engagement member is inserted into the slit from the distal end face of the mount screw in a first direction. A second engagement member is provided in the slit, and elastically deformable so as to allow the first engagement member to move within the slit in the first direction. The second engagement member is adapted to engage with the first engagement member at a first position within the slit so as to prevent the first engagement member from moving in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction. A nut is adapted to be screwed to the mount screw while being interconnected with the washer.
