Intersecting Threads On The Bolt Patents (Class 411/245)
  • Patent number: 11167181
Abstract: A connector forms a releasable connection of a golf club shaft and a golf club head. The connector includes a shaft-mount and a head-mount. The shaft-mount has a first threaded coupling member and a bore that is sized to securely receive the golf club shaft. The head-mount has a second threaded coupling member. The head-mount is sized to be securely received within the bore of the hosel of the golf club head. The first threaded coupling member of the shaft-mount mates with the second threaded coupling member of the head-mount to form a releasable connection of the golf club shaft and the golf club head. The first threaded coupling member of the shaft-mount has dual-handed-thread ability which allows the releasable connection to follow left-handed-thread convention and right-hand-thread convention.

  • Patent number: 11022166
Abstract: A threaded shaft and retaining nut assembly having a shaft 4 with a first thread of a first hand along the shaft 4, and a second thread of a second hand opposite to said first hand along the shaft 4. The second thread at least partially overlaps said first thread. A tubular member is screwingly engageable for winding the shaft 4 into and out of the tubular member 3. A retaining nut 10 is screwingly engageable with the second thread for winding the retaining nut 10 back and forth along the shaft 4. In use, the second nut is engageable against an end of the tubular member 3 to prevent unintentional winding of said shaft. A locking member 12 is engageable with the tubular member 3 and the retaining nut 10 to effect a non-rotatable coupling between said tubular member 3 and retaining nut.

  • Patent number: 4818578
Abstract: A load-bearing member is positioned in a slot extending through a composite structure of laminated reinforced plastic having overlapping layers of fabric plies embedded in a thermoplastic material. A connecting means such as a shank of a bolt connects the load-bearing member with a second structure. The load-bearing member has a flat surface engageable with a flat surface of the slot which is generally parallel with the edge surface of the composite structure in abutting relationship with a surface of the second structure. The slot extends through the overlapping layers of fabric plies in such a manner that the load is distributed by the load-bearing member to avoid the concentration of forces which cause shear failure and delamination.
