  • Patent number: 8740133
Abstract: An aircraft including at least one engine having counter-rotating rotors, the engine or at least one of the engines having imbalances associated with at least one ellipse. The aircraft includes at least one vibration damper attached in an arrangement such that, at a given engine speed and for at least one given common direction of a large axis of the ellipse or at least one of the ellipses, a speed related to the two ends of the damper is higher than for any other arrangement of the damper.

  • Patent number: 6846143
Abstract: Sealant is applied onto or into a folded-seam closure of a metal can. Instead of introducing sealant into the U-shaped lid flange and drying, the compound or sealant is applied to the flange base. The base of the metal can is dipped into a current of fluid sealant or at least brought into contact with it at the surface. This substantially improves the precision of dosing and the exact amount of applied sealant.

  • Patent number: 4677730
Abstract: A method of attaching a press-in flange having a tubular portion and a horizontal portion to a tubular mouthpiece of the top plate of a drum or like container by providing a gasket between the tubular portion of the flange and an upward annular projection on the flange horizontal portion, forcing the flange having the gasket thereon into the tubular mouthpiece from below, and outwardly bending the upper end of the flange tubular portion to hold the upper end folded over the upper end of the mouthpiece while bringing the annular projection into intimate contact with the inner surface of a curved portion between the upper and lower ends of the mouthpiece to confine the gasket in a space defined by the annular projection, the curved portion, the lower end of the tubular portion and part of the horizontal portion.
