Reciprocating Or Oscillating Patents (Class 414/194)
  • Patent number: 9133529
Abstract: A distribution device for distributing bulk material with a distribution spout on a cardan suspension that has a first and a second gimbal member pivotable about two perpendicular suspension axes where a drive arrangement has a first and a second transmission mechanism for controlling pivotal motion of the distribution spout about the suspension axes, and the drive arrangement has a further cardan joint, with a first part pivotable about a third axis and a second part pivotable about a fourth axis, and a rotary motor for driving a rotary drive shaft that is connected to the cardan joint by means of an articulated connecting arm such that the rotational position and the axial position of the drive shaft determine the pivotal position of the second part about the third and fourth axes respectively, where the transmission mechanisms transmit torque about the third and fourth axes from the cardan joint to the cardan suspension for pivoting the distribution spout about the first and second axes respectively.

  • Patent number: 5609458
Abstract: A method of charging coal into a chamber furnace-type coke oven. The coal is fed from a table feeder from a coal hopper so as to be dropped and charged into a carbonization chamber of the coke oven, through a charging cylinder. The coal fed from the table feeder is accelerated by rotation vanes at the initial stage in which the coal starts to drop. The vanes have a rotation center which is located upward on the exterior of a locus of the stream of free fall gravitated by the coal. The rotation speed of the vanes is progressively increased in the latter half of charging of the coal. The coal is thus allowed to accumulate in the carbonization chamber so that the bulk density of the coal in the vertical direction can become uniform. Also disclosed is an apparatus for charging coal into a chamber furnace-type coke oven. The apparatus includes a coal hopper for storing the coal therein. A table feeder feeds the coal from the hopper.

  • Patent number: 5549058
Abstract: A method and apparatus for feeding a bulk material supplemental fuel through a port formed in a side wall of a rotary vessel of a cement kiln. The apparatus includes a stationary annular plenum surrounding rotary vessel. The plenum is configured to define an enclosed interior region in communication with the port in the rotary vessel. The apparatus also includes a bulk material fuel charging apparatus including a hopper for receiving the bulk material, and a barrel in communication with the hopper. The barrel has an open discharge end extending into the interior region of the annular plenum. The bulk material fuel charging apparatus also includes an air cannon in air flow communication with the barrel for injecting air into the barrel to force a portion of the bulk material located in the barrel out of the open discharge end of the barrel, through the port, and into the rotary vessel.

  • Patent number: 4250819
Abstract: A step grate including feeding means, distributor, step grate elements and combustion grate, comprising a stationary flat grate on which the distributor acts, and at least one further flat grate associated therewith on which a further distributor acts, in each case with combustion air supply, this being followed by the combustion grate, and the stationary flat grate steps may be followed by pivot grate bars, said stationary flat grates being divided in two and downwardly up to 80% completely sealed.
