  • Patent number: 11576419
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for bulk processing items on a conveyor belt using an angled axial fan that extends obliquely into a processing chamber and includes a curved back wall forming an air flow chamber. The angled axial fan enhances air flow around a product being processed on the conveyor belt. A heater employs shrouds and a series of baffle plates held together using a connecting pin to heat circulated air in a low-pressure area below the conveyor belt. Baffles in an upper chamber mix and direct heated, circulated air over the conveyed product.

Abstract: Provided is a turbofan producing reduced noise and easily manufactured. A coupling portion between a blade main portion and a blade cover is formed in a surface region (pressure surface) parallel to a direction of air flowing over the pressure surface of each blade. With this configuration, the air sucked from a direction of a rotation axis of a turbofan is less liable to enter a gap of the coupling portion of the blade, thereby being capable of reducing noise. Further, noise is reduced so that high-precision dimensional control of the gap of the coupling portion of the blade is not required. Consequently, dimensional control at the time of manufacture is facilitated to thereby facilitate manufacture.

Abstract: A rotary-type fluid machine which enables practical and effective operation in an extremely low specific speed range. The rotary-type fluid machine (1, 1?) has an impeller (10, 10?) integrally connected to a rotating drive shaft (2). The impeller is accommodated in a casing (3). Fluid (a) of a suction fluid passage (4) to be pumped flows into a center part (11) of the impeller. The fluid (b) is discharged from a peripheral portion (12) of the impeller by the effect of the centrifugal force of the rotating impeller, so that the fluid is delivered through a delivery fluid passage (5) outside of the casing. Many grooves (15) extending toward a peripheral edge of the impeller from the center part of the impeller are formed on the impeller. The groove opens on an outer circumferential surface (18) of the impeller, and causes strong recirculation vortices (R) to be formed in the vicinity of the peripheral edge of the impeller when the impeller rotates.

  • Patent number: 7021891
Abstract: A back-to-back double-flow bi-directional thrust-balanced micro-impeller for use in optimized compression cycles of small volumetric flow rates is provided. The back-to-back micro-impeller is a component of a compressor capable of generating a pressure head suitable for maintaining the flow rate needed for dissipating heat, such as produced by an electronic component. The back-to-back micro-impeller provides a fluid path on both sides of the micro-impeller, imparting an equal momentum (or velocity) to the fluid. The left and right compressor sections provide a balancing of forces generated by high-pressure fluid against the two sides of the micro-impeller. This reduces vibrational forces and provides a balancing force on the shaft which reduces the thrust on the shaft in a direction away from the gas flow path. Also, the approximately equally distributed mass about the rotation axis X, provides for a balanced impeller which is desirable when operated at high rotation speeds.

In one embodiment, expeller blades are employed in inner concentric relation to the upper impeller vanes to accelerate the flow of solid particles into the upper impeller region, and baffle plates or deflector members are employed above and below the upper and lower impellers to prevent any leakage of liquid into the center of the impeller. In preferred and alternate forms, the impeller vanes are sized to balance the point at which the solids and liquid are intermixed.
