Abstract: An adhesive roofing tape is based on a combination of brominated butyl rubber and EPDM. A non-diene block terpolymer is interspersed in the cross-linked polymer network. A plasticizer and tackifier are included to provide resiliency and permanent tack. An important aspect of the invention is to use a high molecular weight polyisobutylene plasticizer and a peroxide curing system. Rapid crosslinking without concomitant rapid degradation of the brominated butyl rubber occurs and some limited degradation of the plasticizer contributes to surface tack. A method of making the adhesive roofing tape is also provided.

Abstract: A removable pressure sensitive adhesive comprises pressure sensitive adhesive microparticles that are the polymerization product of a mono-olefinically unsaturated monomer having an aldehyde group or a ketone group, and a base monomer. By the addition of a polyhydrazide, other adhesives with improved properties can be provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition and tape prepared therefrom which has excellent ability to adhere to acidic surfaces such as acid-rain resistant automotive paints. The adhesive comprises a crosslinked copolymer comprising certain (meth)acrylate esters, certain nitrogen containing basic monomers copolymerizable therewith, optional copolymerizable acidic monomer, and crosslinker.
