Light emitting devices within the transparent lure body can be controlled to emit different colored light through the transparent lure body. Detachable bills/fins can be coupled to the transparent lure body to control the movement of the fishing lure through the water.

Abstract: The present invention relates to fishing lures equipped with one or more light sources interacting and/or interfacing with one or more light transmission mediums. The light transmission medium acts to illuminate one or more areas proximate to the fishing lure to provide a natural luminance or iridescence. The light transmission medium can be made from a flexible translucent hot melt thermoplastic material extruded into a polymer lens and can be located on an outer surface of a body of the fishing lure or inside the body of the fishing lure. The light transmission medium can also be provided in the form of a soft flexible component made from Plastisol or other similar translucent materials. The light source can be embedded in or located proximate to the light transmission medium to amplify, intensify, and/or disperse light along the light transmission medium to provide a natural looking luminescence to the fishing lure.

Abstract: An intelligent fishing tackle comprises a fishing line, a sinker module, a microprocessor system module and a hook module, in which the sinker module is connected on the fishing line and includes a camera module used for capturing a underwater image, the microprocessor system module judges a fishing object according to the underwater image and determines whether a control signal is generated, and the hook module is connected on the fishing line and switched to a fishing processing state according to the control signal. Whether to capture the fishing object can be judged directly under the water or the water image is transmitted to the shore for a rodster to decide whether to capture the fishing object.

  • Patent number: 8061075
Abstract: The present fishing jig is potted, battery powered, water activated, and light emitting. A jig is a kind of lure that is essentially a bare hook. A jig is a hook having two ends, with a barb located at one end and with a relatively small body, such as a small plastic ball, located at the other end near the eyelet. Components of the present jig are potted in plastic such that the jig is sealed against entry of water, such that seam breakage need not be a concern, and such that the jig can be dropped without internal components being jarred from their positions. The battery of the jig is a relatively small calculator, watch, coin cell, or button battery. Water activation occurs via exposed electrical leads such that the light emitting diode is activated only when the lure is immersed in water. The fish attracting light emitting diode, like a worm, confronts the barb of the hook such that fish striking the light source also likely strike the barb of the hook.

Abstract: The present invention is a variable light fishing lure comprised of a plastic housing with an internal cavity for holding a submergible lighted element and an angled aperture for inserting the lighted element into the cavity. A plug is inserted into the angled aperture to prevent the lighted element from falling out of the housing. Water can be added to plastic housing before inserting the plug to adjust the buoyancy of the fishing lure. The outside of the plastic housing contains a striated pattern which allows light from the lighted element to shine through the housing. The lighted element can be easily removed from the housing and replaced with the same or another color lighted element.
