  • Patent number: 7147996
Abstract: Photographic silver halide materials containing an incorporated black-and-white developing agent can be quickly and simply processed using unique processing compositions and methods. In a “two-step” method, the exposed material is contacted with an alkaline activator solution followed by a fixing composition. • Publication number: 20020150846
Abstract: The present invention provides a processing composition for a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material. The processing composition has excellent functions of reducing stain caused by residual dyes in a photosensitive material and of making no segregated deposit even in low temperature storage of the processing composition. The processing composition of the invention contains a bis-triazinylarylenediamine derivative and a diaminostilbene derivative. The invention also provides an image-formation process using the processing composition of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6406838
Abstract: The present invention provides an overcoat for a photographic element that allows for appropriate diffusion of photographic processing solutions. The overcoat comprises 10 to 50% by weight of a enzyme-degradable biopolymer and 50 to 90% by weight of hydrophobic particles (by weight of dry laydown of the entire overcoat). An enzyme is applied to the element before, during, or after conventional photoprocessing. According to one embodiment of the invention, the photographic element can be exposed and processed using normal photofinishing equipment, with no modifications, to provide an imaged element together with a protective, water-resistant layer.

  • Patent number: 6376162
Abstract: In a processing method wherein, after a silver halide color photographic material is subjected to color development, the silver halide color photographic material is desilvered and then washed and/or stabilized, a photographic material that has at least one high-silver chloride emulsion layer, and in which at least one emulsion layer contains a monodisperse emulsion, is rapidly processed with a color developer having a water-soluble high polymer compound. The coating amount of silver of the said silver halide color photographic material is preferably 0.75 g/m2 or less, and the color developer contains chloride ions in an amount of 0.035 mol/liter or more. In continuous and rapid processing, fluctuations of photographic properties (particularly changes in sensitivity and gradation) are remarkably reduced, the ununiformity of developed density is remarkably improved, and the occurrence of a deposit on a processing tank wall surface is prevented.

Abstract: A multi-part color developing kit includes at least two parts (or solutions) of photochemical compositions that can be mixed to provide a color developing composition useful for obtaining color photographic images. A first aqueous solution is formulated with a color developing agent in free base form, an antioxidant for the color developing agent, an inorganic base, a triazinylstilbene optical brightening agent, an chemical base and a water-miscible or water-soluble hydroxy-substituted, straight-chain organic solvent. A second aqueous solution is formulated with a buffering agent, the same or different chemical base and a phosphonic acid metal ion sequestering agent. Both solutions have a pH and homogeneity to provide a clear color developing composition that is safer for use and disposal.
