  • Patent number: 6955552
Abstract: The invention concerns an adaptor (100) adapted to establish an electric connection with a portable electronic instrument (200) and to allow transmission of electric signals. The portable instrument is controlled via at least one control member (210) having first electric contact means (213) accessible from the exterior of the instrument. The control member is capable of occupying a first non pushed-in position and a second pushed-in position. The adaptor includes a support (101) having a pattern cavity (102) dimensioned to receive the instrument. The pattern cavity includes at least one housing (110) in which are arranged second electric contact means (119). The housing is dimensioned to receive the control member, such that, on the one hand, the control member is brought into the pushed-in position and, on the other hand, the first and second electric contacts are brought into contact, when the instrument is placed in the pattern cavity.

  • Patent number: 6905357
Abstract: A connector (1) includes a connector body (2) fixed on a PCB (6), a clip (3), and a load lever (4). The connector body defines passageways (230) receiving terminals therein. The load lever includes an operational arm (43), two pivot axles (41) having an offset pressing portion (42) therebetween, and an operational portion (44). The operational portion includes an extending portion (440) extending upwardly from the operational arm, a middle portion (442) extending from an end of the extending portion, a bending portion (446) extending from an end of the middle portion, and a handle (444) extending from an end of the bending portion and being parallel to the middle portion. When the connector is in a closed state, a distance between the handle and the PCB is greater than a distance between the operational arm and the PCB. This configuration helps prevent an operator's hand from being hurt.

Abstract: A socket structure for grid array (GA) Packages, mainly comprises the flexible chassis assembly, the frame, the first hinge cover lid and the second hinge cover lid. The flexible chassis assembly comprises the silicon rubber pad, the inner base plate, the flex-board, two solder mask layers, bumps and solder balls. The flex-board, encompassing the silicon rubber pad and the inner base plate, is used for electrical contacts. Also, the first hinge cover lid is situated and pivoting on the frame by a first hinge pin and a second hinge pin; the second hinge cover lid is situated and pivoting on the frame by a third hinge pin and a fourth hinge pin. By pressing the first hinge cover lid and the second hinge cover lid downward, the hinge pads thereon contact with the substrate of the package and snap the package firm in place. In this invention, the package with pre-attached heat sink can be easily placed into the socket.

  • Patent number: 6890201
Abstract: A zero insertion force connector (1) uses a contact (4) having a unique shape which is described below. That is, the contact includes a stationary portion (4A) fixed to an insulator (2), a first portion (4B) having a first contact point (4B1) and being continuous with the stationary portion, a substantially U-shaped portion (4C) continuous with the first portion, a second portion (4D) having a second contact point (4D1) and being continuous with the substantially U-shaped portion, and a movable portion (4E) continuous with the second portion and engaging with an actuator (5) held by the insulator to be slidable along the insulator. The first and the second contact points confront each other with a gap (W) left therebetween. The actuator slides to displace the movable portion so that the first and the second contact points sandwich therebetween a connection counterpart (13B) that is inserted in the gap.
