The hook assembly is configured to interface with the loop assembly to secure the first layered fabric body to the second layered fabric body, and the first layered fabric body includes a flexible supporting layer, where the flexible supporting layer is configured to provide rigidity to the second layered fabric body such that the second layered fabric body maintains a flat configuration when it is secured to the first layered fabric body.

Abstract: A functional garment includes a single breast supporting device that includes a breast cup, a connector, and a support strap. The breast cup supports a single breast of a user. The breast cup connector comprises an elastomeric material extending along a lateral side of the breast cup. The support strap connects to the connector and connects to the breast cup. The functional garment simultaneously provides orthopedic support to the user and visual enhancement of the breasts. Other implementations are disclosed.

Abstract: A functional garment comprises a first breast cup and a first cross strap, two opposite ends of which are attached to the inner and outer edges of the first breast cup, respectively. The functional garment can be used to simultaneously provide both orthopedic and breast augmentation benefits. A plurality of countervailing forces simultaneously provide force on the shoulders, to bring them back and/or the shoulder blades closer together, and the breasts, to bring them closer together and/or lift them.

Abstract: A garment for a post mastectomy surgery woman comprises a waistband fits about a waist of the woman. A strap is joined to the waistband to extend from the waistband at a side of the woman's surgery, up over a shoulder on a side opposite the surgery and down to the waistband on the surgery side. A bra cup is configured to fit about the woman's healthy breast. A first strap is configured to laterally join a first side of the bra cup to the strap on the woman's front. A second strap is configured to laterally join a second side of the bra cup to the strap on the woman's back. An elastic paneling is configured to join to the strap, the bottom side of the bra cup, the first strap, the second strap, and the waistband. The elastic paneling positions the bra cup to support the woman's healthy breast.

Abstract: A radiation treatment bra is disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, the bra includes adjustable elements and a medial window. During radiation treatment planning, the elements are adjusted to establish a reference breast geometry. The reference breast geometry is reproduced prior to an actual treatment session by repeating the original adjustment of the elements, as necessary. The medial window enables a light field to be projected onto the patient's chest, and read therefrom, thereby establishing proper alignment of the patient to the radiation treatment machine.

Each of the pairs of mating fingers has adjustable connectors so that each of the pairs of mating fingers is adjusted independently to allow the bra to attach firmly and comfortably around a tapered torso of a wearer taking into account the varying girth at different heights on the tapered body.

Abstract: A breast crease comforter decreases pain and promotes healing during and after radiation therapy to the breast. The skin crease between the breast and the torso is typically exposed to daily friction, sheer, and moisture. When the breast is also compromised by radiation therapy, these various insults may combine to cause skin breakdown and excoriation, including resultant pain. The breast crease comforter intervenes between the underside of the breast and the torso to protect and pad this sensitive crease area when compromised by radiation therapy. The breast crease comforter may also be used to treat other conditions besides vulnerable skin resulting from radiation therapy to the breast or torso. The breast crease comforter may also be combined with the bottom of a conventional bra.

Abstract: A soft, protective breast support worn by pregnant, postpartum and nursing mothers when showering to support engorged breasts, function as a warm compress to soothe breasts and ease engorgement, and to shield the breasts, nipples and areolas from direct contact with harsh shower sprays, drying soap and other chemical residues found in toiletries that can damage sensitive nipple and areola skin, while leaving the wearer's hands free. The breast support is a two-sided, rectangular fabric panel made of soft, lightweight, elastic and absorbent material. Abstract: A camisole-like garment for use by medical patients includes front and rear segments with the front segment divided into two panels which may be selectively, temporarily closed. The garment includes a yoke-like neck area and arm-receiving openings. Additional side openings are provided adjacent the line of joinder of the front and rear segments to provide for access for drainage tubes or the like and at least one pocket is formed on the outer surface of at least one of the front panels, also for the receipt of a drainage bulb associated with the drainage tube. Abstract: A reversible mastectomy brassiere which may be worn soon after surgery is disclosed with the primary purpose of this brassiere concept being to provide a mastectomy brassiere which may position a prosthesis on the left breast, or when said brassiere is completely reversed, to position a prosthesis on the right breast of the mastectomy patient. This design further includes front fasteners which function equally well irrespective of the side on which the brassiere is worn. The brassiere will provide adequate coverage for the patient soon after surgery, without the necessity of an expensive and time consuming special fitting. The second important aspect of this design is its continuous unbroken and smooth appearance when worn becuase the brassiere configuration and all outer edges have no apparent sewing or standard finishing of any kind on the outer surface of the brassiere.

Abstract: A sleeveless bodice type athletic support garment structured of a multi-layered rectangular front and back panel, two length adjustable shoulder straps, a neck opening, two arm apertures, and two openable side seams attachable with hook and loop fasteners to allow size adjustability. The garment is made of a resilient material capable of dissipating heat and perspiration. The interior of the front panel is affixed with a flat rectangular elastic panel to support and stabilize a woman's breasts against her chest. The athletic support garment is especially directed for use by large breasted women who require additional support during strenuous or active sports. The support garment can be worn in place of a bra, over existing clothing or even as an outer garment.

Abstract: A nursing brassiere is disclosed having a frontal section comprised of partially overlapping frontal portions each adapted to cover one side of a wearer's chest area. The frontal portions are connected to a lower band that fits around the wearer and has inner and outer overlapping members which are normally held together but are separable. Each frontal portion is attached to one overlapping band member so that it can be separately displaced by the wearer to facilitate nursing.

Abstract: A support brassiere for the female breasts for use in energetic activities such as running, jogging, aerobics and track events. A pair of flexible cups are supported from above by shoulder straps, and beneath by an encircling band. An inelastic flexible stabilizer strip is attached to the encircling band and is adjustably brought to bear against it and the rib cage immediately below the breasts. The support from below prevents breast sag and thereby reduces the bouncing of the breasts.

Abstract: A garment is set forth which includes an outer flexible skin to cover at least the torso and stretchable breast supports beneath the outer skin to overlay the breasts. Tendons are attached to the breast supports and are adjustably pulled to stretch the supports over the breasts to press, hold and support the breasts against the body.
